CALANTHA

7:00pm

I sat cross-legged on my bed, staring at the wall clock.

One hour until the time Kaiden said we would go on that dinner date.

Even though I knew he was a man of his word, and that he always did exactly what he said he would, part of me still had doubts. Maybe because I never imagined he would want to take me out on a date.

I wondered why. Was he starting to like me too?

I shook my head, forcing the thought away. I couldn’t afford to get my hopes up. If I let myself believe in something that wasn’t real, I would only end up hurt. Again.

Needing a distraction, I climbed off my bed and walked to my desk, grabbing a pen and opening my notebook. Maybe if I focused on my assignment, I could push him out of my mind.

But it didn’t take long before I found myself glancing at the clock again.

7:20pm.

Was he serious about this, or was he just messing with me?

But Kaiden never lied.

He had hurt me, more times than I could count, but he never made empty promises. The only reason I

CALANTHA“Hey,” Lysandra said softly, giving a small wave as I looked at her. She stepped forward, stopping just in front of Eloise and Nyx. A faint, sympathetic smile tugged at her lips. “Are you okay?”I didn’t answer right away. I just stared at her in silence. My eyes scanned her face—the lines, the curves, the features I knew I’d seen before but had never paid attention to. I kept wondering how it could even be possible. How could this girl be my twin sister? But deep down, even if I didn’t want to accept it, I knew it was true. Hera hadn’t lied.Lysandra was my twin. We were both daughters of the moon goddess.“Can we talk?” I asked, my voice quiet. “Just the two of us?”Eloise and Nyx exchanged quick glances, both of them clearly unsure. They didn’t hide their suspicion as they looked at Lysandra, who looked just as unsure herself.“Don’t worry, guys,” I said, giving them a small smile, though it didn’t quite reach my eyes. “I just need to ask her something.”After a moment of

NYXAs soon as Cross dropped me off at the packhouse gates, I stepped out of the car so quickly, you’d think the ground was on fire beneath me.“I’ll be just a call away,” he said, stepping out from the driver’s side. “Once you’re done here, let me know and I’ll come pick you up.”I nodded, already half-distracted by the storm of emotions swirling inside me. But I froze when he leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead. Despite the anxiety twisting in my stomach, that simple gesture still made butterflies flutter in my chest, and I felt my cheeks go warm.“Take care of yourself, little one.” He said softly before walking back to his car and driving off.I stood there for a moment, watching his car disappear down the road. It had been three days since I left Aunt Diane’s place and stayed at Cross’s apartment. And honestly, it was starting to feel like something more—whatever ‘this’ was between us. Maybe it was time to ask the real question: What are we?But that could wait

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Chasing Her

ELOISE “I’m glad your eyes are finally open and you’re making the right decision.” My father said from behind me as the maids helped load my bags into the trunk of the car.“That Beta already managed to ruin your name in the pack,” he added with a scoff, clicking his tongue. “And now, all of a sudden, he wants to mate you? Out of pity? Just to save your reputation?” He shook his head. “You’ve made the smart choice going to your mother’s in Elvira.”I clenched my jaw, blinking back tears as I loaded the last of my things. I didn’t look at him.As painful as it was, his reaction didn’t shock me. He hadn’t hesitated when I told him I was ending things with Bradley and leaving for Elvira. In fact, he was glad. Eager, even, to be rid of me.That alone was proof enough that I never truly belonged here. That I was never wanted.Once the maids shut the trunk, I turned to face him. My throat tightened with the hurt I was trying hard to swallow.“I’m sorry I wasn’t the daughter you hoped for,”

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   The Committee of Alphas

KAIDEN“You will do no such thing!” I shouted, my voice echoing off the high stone walls as I made to charge at Hera. But before I could take a step, the vampire king; King Rufus, was suddenly in front of me, blocking my path.“I would advise you stay right where you are, Lycan King.” He said firmly, his tone still respectful. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t have taken his warning seriously. But this wasn’t just any gathering. This was the Council of Alphas—the only body with authority over my crown and throne. Which explained perfectly why that bastard Slade had gone to the extent of calling them here. He knew it was the only way to challenge me.Jaw tight, my insides burning with helpless rage, I forced myself to stay rooted, my fists clenched at my sides. I could only stand and watch as Hera moved closer to Calantha, who still knelt on the ground, drenched in blood from a murder she never committed. She looked so small. So broken. But I didn’t need proof or an explanation.

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Judgement

CALANTHAI stood before the council, my hands and clothes stained with blood, my whole body trembling from the shock of what had happened just a few hours ago.Whispers floated around me as the elders exchanged glances and hushed words. Their voices weren’t loud, but they pierced my ears like needles. Everything felt dizzy. Like the world was spinning inside my head.I looked down at my hands. They were still soaked in blood. My eyes stung from all the crying, my face tight and sore.I had killed Tara. With my own hands, I had stabbed her over and over. The image refused to leave my mind.Suddenly, the doors to the chamber flew open. Kaiden stormed in, rage pouring off him like fire, his face like stone. Bradley followed closely behind.“Who the hell called for this damn meeting,” he barked, “and why is my Luna standing before you like this?”The room fell into immediate silence. He reached me quickly, pulling me tightly into his arms, not caring that I was covered in blood. I clung t

  • Stealing the Heart of the Lycan King   Battle of the Divine

CALANTHA Twins were supposed to look alike, right? Or at least share a few visible similarities. But in my case with Lysandra… there was nothing. Nothing at all.Sure, we had similar powers, but everything else was completely different. From our faces to our eyes, from our voices to the way we carried ourselves. There was just no way Lysandra could be my twin. I refused to believe it.Tired of crouching in the tight, dusty space filled with cobwebs, I tried to shift. My legs were cramping, and the urge to march out there and confront Hera burned strong inside me.But her next words froze me cold.“Now that you know more than you were ever meant to,” she said calmly to Tara, “why should I keep you alive?”My heart slammed against my chest. Loud. Hard. Painful.Hera was still sitting, her eyes fixed on Tara, who looked absolutely terrified.“You’re close to the Lycan king,” she continued. “He trusts you. Listens to every word you say. We can’t have you whispering secrets in his ear no
