CAMILLA

You got to be kidding me. The Lycan Prince, a marriage contract? There is no way in hell I am going to let that happen. I read the terms in that contract, none of it said anything about letting me keep my freedom.

I let my eyes circle the room and spotted my dress lying on the floor. Bending over, I felt a sharp pain between my legs making me whimper.

'What did you expect? He's a lycan, and his appetite is insatiable,' Dana mused.

"Pervert," I huffed as I scooped up the dress and was about to put it on when I realize it's ruined.

Just great. Now how am I going to face Angela when I show up with a completely destroyed version of the six-thousand dollar dress she gave me?

I then rummaged through the drawers and closet and found nothing more than a black oversized shirt and grey sweats. Luckily, it contained a pair of rubber shoes, too.

I threw everything on before my phone rang out. I picked it up, scowling when Angela's face popped up in the screen.

She's calling me and I let the phone vibrate a couple of times, panic coursing through me. When I don't pick up, she sends me a text.

Angie: Where are you? Pick up your phone!

My hands are shaking as I shut my eyes, rummaging for a perfect excuse for my stupidity last night. Only I had no excuse that's going to let me out of this now.

Ting.

Angie: Dad is getting pretty bummed right now. You need to get home, ASAP!

That was my cue to leave.

Before I marched out of the room, I left a note saying I needed to go home and that I could not accept the marriage contract.

Racing down the hallway, I pushed through the double doors and flagged a taxi going home.

I'm not sure why Angela didn't bother calling me last night. Maybe she had hooked up with some wickedly handsome stranger and just forgot all about me. I shrugged and tried not to ponder too much about it.

I'm just glad she's safe. I thought satisfactorily.

When I got closer to our pack territory, my heart began banging against my chest faster, and I'm heaving out heavy breaths, dreading what is about to befall me.

I glanced at my wrist watch. I arrived home at 7:30, exactly one and a half hour before the big meeting, and I suspect my father a.k.a. Alpha Charles is glowering over my figure from the huge glass window in his office right about now.

Chills chased down my spine as I felt his deadly, murderous glare drilling holes at the side of my head.

I sighed, preparing my body for another series of lashings in the red room before I collapse, hopefully to death.

I guess it's time to face the consequences of thinking I could have one night to enjoy myself for once.

Sauntering into the hall, my eyes nearly bulged out of my sockets when I saw none other than my mate--no, my ex-mate, standing beside my father with a smug smile spread across his face. Angela, my stepmother Lucy, Beta David and his mate, as well as Gamma Leo were also present in the hall, but my eyes are only focused on Dash. Cheating bastard.

Anger and the pain of betrayal shook me entirely at the sight of him, and I still had him pinned with my gaze when a strong iron fist suddenly collided with my cheek.

"You ungrateful bitch," my father spat before sending another sickening blow to the other side of my face.

"How dare you reject my beta's son!" He was seething. There was murder in his eyes that I dare not challenge. Not in my present state. I'm exhausted, and all I could do is lay low on the floor while accepting his following blows.

Sending another kick to my head, I felt my vision blur and the world spin all around me. My head spun, still hungover from last night's escapade and drained of energy from that man's insatiable appetite for sex.

Shaking my head, I manage to haul myself up and look my father straight in the eye.

"Teach that bitch a lesson, Charles," My stepmom Lucy blurts in a condescending tone.

Before I could react, my father grabbed me by the hair, ripping it back with a brute force that made me grind my teeth as my eyes settled on Angela.

She was watching me with a huge grin playing on her lips but when she caught my gaze, she quickly masked the joy in her eyes with a look of sympathy. My stomach twisted. I feel like I'm going to be sick. And I'm damn well sure I was not imagining things with the face she just made.

The face of betrayal.

"Dad, stop!" she pleaded. I laughed.

She miraculously just decided to take action after I received multiple blows by my father, if I should even call him that.

Angela crouched in my spot and pulled me into her embrace, which only made my skin crawl in disgust.

"It was my fault. I forced her to come down to the bar and have fun with me last night... Goddess, If I had known that she was going to reject Dash to have sex with another man, I would have never--"

"What did you say?" The Alpha roared, cutting off her words and making everyone in the hall tremble violently with the aura he's oozing off.

Angela gasped as if she regretted letting the words slide from her devilish tongue. I growl inwardly, glaring daggers into her skull which she chose ignore. If looks could kill, she'd already be dead.

She shifted her pitiful gaze to me and leaned closer to my ear, "Hope you liked my present. I made sure that sleazy pig fucked you all night long, much to your satisfaction," she snickered mockingly, but her words echoed in my head.

Sleazy pig? Did she mean the Greek God Prince Alaric of the entire lycanthrope kingdom? I furrowed my brows, wondering.

"By the way, your mate was exceptional in bed. Too bad, he never fucked you the way fucked did me," she giggled in my hair and I felt my jaw clench so tight I wondered if it would break.

Yet, I was shocked when I didn't feel any searing pain drilling into chest. In fact, I felt nothing.

Once Angela let me go, she rose to her feet and turned to my father who was still glaring holes into my head.

"I saw her, getting into a hotel room with a disgusting fat man," she spoke, and I swear every word she said earned a gasp from each member of the audience watching us now.

I snapped my eyes to her in utter disbelief. Angela, the one who I would have entrusted my life to, the only person I trust in this world, and the one who I'll give anything up for like a true sister, stabbed me right in the back.

A feeling of intense rage swept over me as I stared between Angela and Dash.

So much for best friends.

The next moment, my father appeared before me, eyes blazing in full-on rage.

"Is this true?" he asked in a low, dangerous voice. My eyes trailed off to his clenched fists, and I gulped.

I opened my mouth to speak, when my whole body stiffened as the intoxicating smell of the ocean and sandalwood slammed into me, invading my senses. Just then, the doors of the packhouse opened widely with a loud bang and everyone in that hall gasped before they bowed their heads out of surprise and fear, including the Alpha.
