CAMILLA

I giggled as I jumped over a large rock blocking my path, and made my way past the pack border and towards freedom.

'Faster, Dana! Faster!' I urged my wolf to which she responded to quite positively. She picked up her speed and ran faster and further into the forest, away from everything and everyone. Away from reality.

'That's right, don't look back,' I tell her, desperately trying to hold tears back. They are useless now. From now on, I will never have to cry and suffer ever again, I will be free.

Just when I finished that thought, Dana suddenly came to a full stop.

'What's wrong?' I asked my wolf but she didn't answer.

Instead, her ears perked up and I can feel her raise her guard, positioning her body on defense. She whips her head side to side and back and forth for everytime the forest creates a different sound.

What is going on? Why is my wolf suddenly freaking out?

It did not take long before the answer finally revealed itself in the form of two dangerous-looking pair of red eyes, peering from under the shadows. It was the most unusual color I had ever seen, yet, instead of fear, my wolf rather felt an attraction to them.

She was practically drawn to those eyes. Those eyes that screamed "run" all over them did not really get though my wolf's thick skull.

The next moment, a huge black creature slowly stepped out of the shadow. I almost popped my eyes out of their sockets when I see a lycan instead of a wolf.

The way it was looking and growling at me made me think it wanted to eat me alive. But I'm confident that's against nature's laws. After all, a wolf or lycan cannot devour another just because he probably only might be hungry or had gone nuts, right?

"Mine," a low, raspy voice rumbled through the forest, silencing all other creatures that lived there.

But then I pinched my brows, confused as per his words.

Taking one look at the unbelievably huge creature, I knew I needed a way out.

I find myself taking careful steps back while the black wolf stalked towards me.

I kept moving backwards when my back hit a tree. Great, now what?

Before I had the opportunity to lift my chin and glare at him eye to eye, I felt his huge body press against me. I could feel his muscles tense as if I had aroused him.

I bit my lip and tried to scooch away while he snarled sharply in protest. Instinctively, I clenched my eyes, finally letting the tears to trail down my cheek as my body trembled uncontrollably.

His domineering aura seeps into my skin, enough to make even an alpha kneel at his feet. As the daughter of an alpha, I can barely stand on my feet and I am frozen in place.

My heart raced at dangerous speed when I felt his hand brushing softly against my cheek. My wolf purred in response and clearly had no plans of running away at all.

Please, please, please, please.

Someone, anyone....

Help.

"Cami! Cami!"

My eyes fluttered open at the sound of Angela's voice. I jerked upright, sitting up on the bed as I sucked in air and panted like I have just had a long run.

Well, at least I thought I had.

I looked around and saw the same omegas who my father ordered to tend to me before I lost consciousness. Angela stood beside me, her eyes gleaming with concern.

Realizing what just happened, I relaxed a little and adjusted my position on the bed.

It was just a stupid dream.

"Cami, what's wrong?" Angela asked, reaching out to touch my hand.

My gaze dropped to her hand and I felt my lips curl up into a small smile. She had always been kind to me, like an angel. She's the reason why I had not left the back even after turning eighteen. Although my father never raised a hand on her, I was worried that once I leave, it was only a matter of time before the alpha snapped and turned all his anger to Angela.

Apart from Dash, Angela is the only person I really care about.

Smiling, I shake my head. "It's nothing. Just a bad dream,"

Yes, a nightmare. One I am sure will stay with me for weeks, maybe even months.

Still, I could feel those dark red eyes all over me, taunting me. I just couldn't get it off my mind.

"Get out,"

My eyes darted to Angela whose voice changed to a sharp tone, startling me.

But her gaze was directed to the omegas in the room, and for that I felt relieved.

I admit I had never heard her raise her voice to anyone before, so I wonder if she's okay?

As soon as the omegas left, Cami jumped on my bed and shrieked in excitement as she grabbed my hand to celebrate with her.

"Whoa what's going on Anj?" I laughed seeing her so happy wobbling my bandaged arms I whimpered.

"Oh shit, sorry," she blurted, immediately letting go of my hand.

I giggled, pretending my bruises are not killing me right about now.

"So what's up?" I asked.

Angela's face lit up, "Remember that thing I've been going on and on to you about?" She grinned mischievously.

I groaned and looked at her like she had grown two heads.

"Anj, you know I can't," I said, not wanting to keep her hopes up.

Angela had been wanting to take me to that bar that just opened up recently in the city, saying it was owned by the eldest son of the Lycan King. Therefore, it is a must that we shall march in there solely for the chances of meeting the lycan prince.

"Pretty pleaaaaasseeee?" Angela shoots me her best puppy eyes, and I rolled my eyes, still not convinced.

A minute passed and she is still not giving up.

"Think about it. Your mate just betrayed you by sleeping with another she-wolf. So, don't you think it is only fair if you..." her voice trailed off as I grabbed the pillow and stuffed my ears with it.

Angela pins me with a glare, yanking the pillow away from my hands making me groan.

"Cami, you need this. Think of that asshole Dash. Do you really want to give him the satisfaction by holing yourself up in this room and just be plain miserable? You're better than that. You deserve better, Cami." Angela's words pierced through my heart and soul, or was it because she mentioned Dash? Even after what he did, I admit I cannot bring myself to hate him. After all, he is my mate. My destined. My other half. And yet, he had no problem sleeping with another age-wolf knowing I am here, his mate. And I was ready to give my virginity up to him. Now I am just glad I held onto it for so long.

My heart throbbed in pain as pictures of Dash and that woman came rushing back to me all at once. I curled myself into a ball as I fell back on the bed and sobbed.

I felt Angela caress my shoulders, huddling closer to embrace me from behind.

"How could he do this to me, Anj?" I sobbed harder. Angela chose to hold me tighter and say nothing, and after a few minutes, I got up, wiping away my tears.

Turning to her, I sighed.

"Father--I mean, the Alpha, will kill me if I even ask him to let me come," I said, my voice coming out hoarse as it is laced with fear.

Raising her brow, she grinned mischievously, "Who ever said anything about telling him?"

I stared at her in a mixture of shock and awe.

I know that look. It's that look that says she already got everything figured out and she has a plan.

I shook my head.

"You know what? I think one of these days you are going to get me killed," I said jokingly, and she giggled but did not say anything back.

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 31

CHAPTER 31“Ouch.” I winced when he dampened the wet cold cloth on my bruised skin. His head raised, a look of worry in his eyes.“I’m fine, really “ I muttered, feeling my cheeks flush red with the way he’s staring at me. No one really looked at me like that before. Even Angela who now I know pretended for years hadn’t managed to pull that off.“Stay still.” It sounded more like a command. His eyes glazed over and I knew better than to piss the guy off. From the past year we have been together, I learned that he does not take disobedience very well. He doused the cold, wet cloth on the bruised parts of my body. When he was done, he walked back to the bathroom. I let out a sigh of relief. I glanced down shocked to see my bruises finally fading. Werewolves heal, only not too fast.“It’s wolfsbane.” I snapped up, looking into his red eyes.“Wolfsbane?” If he could see the shock in my face, it’s either he doesn’t care or I was just too good at hiding it.How could possibly be a hea

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 30

Chapter 30Camilla’s POVThe obnoxious sound of moans, growls, and grunts mixed with the sound of skin slapping against skin, echoed in the whole room. I could feel my sweat dripping down the back of my thighs as it bounced against Alaric’s.I squirm and squeal in every thrust. In every second he withdraws his cock my pu**y clenches. And, as if my body had a mind on its own, I have not realized that I have been meeting his deep thrusts, rocking my hips with the intense in and out motion of his c*ck inside me.I could feel his anger, one that has been buried deep within him. Has been for a long time.It seems that anger was not really directed at me. Closing my eyes, I took deep breaths and fisted the bedding in my hands. My back arched so I was in the perfect position to accommodate his monstrous length. He grunted in approval, before feeling his hand glide into my hair, tugging at it as he continued pounding his c*ck in and out of me. I could feel his desperation. He was livid.I bit

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 29

Camilla's POV: The moment he reached out to touch me, I could have sworn my body reacted quite positively. I'm not sure. And I would have found out if Alaric was not pummeling him in bloody. "Alaric, stop!" I shouted, panic rushing through me. But, judging from the way he continued hammering his fists into Devon's poor face, he had me blocked out from his senses. "Stop!" This time, I screamed from the top of my lungs. Alaric had his twin brother lying on the grass, not wasting any time to throw punches at him. Surprisingly, I don't see Devon fighting back. He just lays there with his arms spread out, letting his brother materialize his rage by making him his personal bloody punching bag. "Alaric!" I yelled at him only for him to snap his head up, staring directly into me. His furious gaze felt like a hole boring into my face. Suddenly, I had a loss for words. "You don't want him hurt?" He questioned, squinting his eyes. I opened my mouth but there was no words. It felt as if

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 28

Devon’s POV:That night, it was pouring. The rain pelting over my skin. I stood over our mother’s grave, completely unmoving. We had finished her funeral a few hours ago, but I can’t take it upon myself to just leave. Are we just going to leave her here?On the outside, I see two straight tree branches, cut neatly to form a cross. I had tied a rope around it to help it stay in place.Looking down at the soil where my mother lay, I let a smile break on my lips.“Forgive me, mother. I tried.” I smiled bitterly.Father didn’t even care to give her a proper burial. He took one look at her corpse as I knelt beside her, holding her hand.Tears had sprung from my eyes, and I looked up, gauging my father’s reaction at her evident death.Only to see him turn his head away and say, “Stop touching that. You’ll cover yourself with filth.” Disgust filled his eyes.Anger bubbled through my veins but my feet were rooted in place. I cannot move a single muscle as I simply watched him turn on his heel

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 27

Camilla’s POV:I stared after Alaric as he entered the King’s office. As soon as the door closed behind him, I felt a presence rush to my side.Slowly, I turned my head and lifted my eyes to meet a pair of piercing hazel ones. Identical to Alaric’s. Only his were blood red. As our eyes lock, I feel a tug inside me. A pull as I stared into his eyes. He stares right back, mesmerized.I tore my gaze away immediately as a thought suddenly dawned on me. My wolf sniffed the air around us. It did not take me long to realize it was his scent she was smelling, and she seemed to enjoy it.Looking down at my feet, I clenched the hem of my dress. Thinking to myself. Why does it feel like I want to be close to him?He cleared his throat, snatching my attention from the polish on my toes when I felt his fingers lift my chin.“You… What is your name?” he asked in a soft tone.Embarrassment and panic coursed through me at the position he has put me in. He lifted my chin so that I was looking directly

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 26

Alaric's POV: "Let her go." I demanded. His eyebrow raised before gazing down at my mate. It angered my lycan that he had set his eyes on her. I watch as he sets Camilla up straight. My brow twitching and furrowing when I notice his arm graze my mate's chest. I growled inwardly, knowing he just did that on purpose. My eyes instantly fell on Camilla, taking in her nice little white summer dress. She looked beautiful. I could feel my eyes darkening as my lycan pushed forward. His desire overriding my anger at the moment. I forced my lycan down to the depths and he withdrew with a guttural growl, making him watch in the shadows. I will handle this. I force my gaze back on Devon, pulling a frown. "What are you doing here?" I asked, barely able to hold back a growl. He tilted his head sidewards and frowned. "What, am I not welcome in my own home?" He said in a sarcastic tone and lifted his hands in the air. I glared at him. "Not since you left and said you'll never

  • Stealing the Lycan's Son   Chapter 25

ALARIC’S POV: “Welcome back, your highness,” Fergus greeted me in the hallway across my office, opening the door. I rolled my eyes at him. “Drop it.” He put his palms up in the air, following me into my office. “Who got you so cranky?” he asks, playfulness in his words. Tossing my leather jacket over my seat, I plopped down the chair, running a hand down my face feeling exasperated. “Having problems with the mate?” He started, leaning against the wall. I shook my head and laughed. “In fact, none at all.” I shrugged, meeting his confused gaze. He furrowed his brows. “Then what’s with the frown?” He asked. “Nothing,” I lie through gritted teeth. I pull my arms together against my chest before twirling the swivel chair to the opposite direction, not wanting to face Fergus and his nonstop questions about why the fuck I was in such a mood. He quickly moved to my side and now he is leaning against my table, raising his brows even higher. “Doesn’t look like nothing,” he said, tilt

    24. Camilla Camilla’s POV “Alaric, you make love to me like I am some piece of broken glass, really, I’m not.” I smiled at him. “I want you, and that means all of you.” He stopped as he let my words sink in. Then he sighed and took my hand that was cupping his cheek. “Alright.” He said huskily sending tingles all over my body. His hand moved swiftly and lifted me so my back was against the headboard. Spreading my legs wide, he drinks me in before dragging his gaze back to my eyes. I licked my lips wet as I stared back at him, lust in my eyes. “But I need you to promise.” He said. His hand squeezed my legs gently before his lips moved to say his words. “Promise that if he ever hurts you, command him to stop,” he said firmly. He looked at me and didn’t move, waiting for my answer. “I will,” He nodded before he closed his eyes. When he opened them, I looked right into a set of pitch black eyes. It was his lycan. “Mate,” he snarled the word, his husky voice now deeper and

    23. CamillaIt was different. The second time around. He was… gentler. Holding me like I was a piece of glass he was terrified of breaking. I did not know why, but I was sure he was being careful, although I could tell he wanted to get rough.I did not voice out my thoughts, thinking I was just probably overthinking it again. Days passed by quickly. Come the mating ceremony, the King made sure that everything was absolutely perfect. It amazed me how well he handled and planned the event. It felt like everything flowed exactly the way he wanted it. He had invited all state packs in the kingdom and announced the big news. That his son has found a mate. He also gave a speech, but it sounded to me more like I was a breeder, a submissive female whose duty is to pop out an heir. He declared that once the day arrives that I give him an heir, he will step down from the throne and hand down the title to Alaric. I did not object though, because I knew he would just wave the contract in front
