CHAPTER TWO~ Take Lewd Pictures For Money.

Nick's POV

My Saturday shift at the local gas station isn’t any better. A bitter wind blew in from every side, numbing my thighs under my jeans and threatening to make my teeth crack because I couldn’t stop shivering.

I lost all feeling in my fingers twenty minutes into my shift every day.

Every time I thought I’d get a break from the long stream of cars looking for a fill and could warm up inside for five minutes, another dozen cars showed up.

It didn’t help that our location was just off the highway and drew all kinds of traffic other stations didn’t see.

Four hours later, with a drippy nose and rosy cheeks, I punched out and headed back to my humble abode. I was starving and miserable.

Back in my small bedroom, I found a pair of sweatpants and sat on my bed, propped against the wall with my laptop on my lap. My intention was to study for my test, but I couldn’t shake the desperate urge to fix my situation.

I pulled up G****e. Not expecting viable results, I typed How to make lots and lots of money.

The first few results were exactly what I expected. “Join research studies” or “Get paid for your useless trivia knowledge.”

The results got lamer and lamer as I scrolled. Tutors.

“Donate your sperm for money”

“Take our surveys and earn money now!”

“Get skinny for money.”

I stared at my flat abs and scrolled on. There was no weight to be lost, hence, no money to be made.

This wasn’t working. I erased that search and typed,

Local gay boy looking to make big money.

“This should be interesting.” I said and I hit enter, expecting the worst.

The first ad that popped up was a Sugar Daddy/sugar baby site. I’d heard of those things.

Yeah, as much as I’d joked about selling my ass on the street, that wasn’t what I wanted to do. This Sugar Daddy site was basically a step up from prostitution.

No, it was prostitution just with a fancier name and a website in place of a street corner.

I was about to change my search parameters again when an ad halfway down the page caught my eye.

Big Money! Looking for male, step siblings to film a shocking and lewd video!

“Well, hello. I just happen to be a boy with a step brother looking for big money. What do we have here?” I said, feeling giddy all of a sudden.

The link took me to a website that seemed, at first glance, to belong to an author.

There were several images of gay men in provocative poses splashed across dozens and dozens of book covers.

Although the job opportunity was highlighted at the top of the page with an “Earn big money” sign splashed across the front, I scanned the rest of the site to get an idea of what I was looking at.

The author, Adeline Bloom, was apparently a best-selling gay romance writer that had taken the genre to the next level and was paving the way for gay romance literature recognition across the globe.

Her books boasted New York Times best-seller tags, and the small write-up claimed she’d won over a dozen awards for her literature.

The images on the covers were sexy as fuck and piqued my curiosity about what the stories entailed. Being a university student, I didn’t read a whole lot outside of textbooks.

There was no time in my life for fiction. But gay fiction? My interest was aroused as well as my dick. I’d popped a semi, staring at the hot muscular men with their hands all over each other.

I skimmed Adeline's bio and halted on the words steamy erotic romance. “Is that like p**n? Jesus, does she write p**n? For real?”

I scrolled back to the top of the page and the job opportunity. There was a spot to click for more information, so I followed the link. Once the page loaded, I read out loud.

New York Times best-selling author, Adeline, has announced the launch of a new series for the summer of 2026. Known as an author who defies the rules, Adeline has stated in countless interviews that everything goes regardless of what people deem socially acceptable and has announced she will be writing a kinky, taboo series that will explore the forbidden relationship between male step siblings.

The gears screeched to a halt. “Wait. Say what now? Stepbrothers?” I kept reading.

~ Fans have shown overwhelming support and excitement for this decision, and it has become the most highly anticipated series of Adeline's career.

~In preparation for the launch of this series, Adeline is diligently seeking step brothers between the ages of nineteen and twenty-five who fit the profile of her two main characters and who are willing to model for the purpose of no less than six book covers.

~The chosen siblings would also be required to film no less than six short teaser videos that would act as trailers for each consecutive book launch. The photo shoots and videos would require some sexually suggestive poses and situations, including nudity, which would be edited to a socially acceptable level for publication.

P.s ~ We will come to you! Location is not an issue.

~Payment of fifteen thousand dollars per photograph and twenty-five thousand dollars per finished video is negotiable.

Only serious applicants should apply.

Please send portfolio pictures and experience, if any, to Ethan Jacobs at Ethanjacobs@g***l.com.

I blinked, my jaw hanging loose, then I blinked again. Fifteen thousand per … and twenty-five for the… “Jesus, that’s like…” I did the quick math in my head.

“There’s no way that’s right. Twenty five thousand dollars?”

That was an insane amount of money to make for modeling for a few pictures. It would pay for my final year of school. Hell, I might be able to move out of Ashur's basement.

All I had to do was… I cringed as my eyes skipped back over the words nudity and sexually suggestive. “With my stepbrother? What the fuck is wrong with her readers?

Unconvinced this was considered a popular trope, I pulled up a separate G****e search and shuddered as I typed in the word Taboo stepbrothers forbidden romance and before I hit enter, I gaped and stared and gaped some more. Books, articles, and pictures flooded my screen.

“This world is full of a bunch of sickos. How is there a whole community of people drooling over this stuff? And how did I not know about it?”

I went back to the job description and read it again. The money was so enticing, I tried to envision going to a studio and getting kinky with my Noah for film. I couldn’t erase my ick-face, yet I kept coming back to the money. Twenty-five thousand dollars.

Would I do my Noah? I gagged. Okay, not do, but would I get sexually suggestive with him? Naked?

It wasn’t like Noah and I had never gotten close like that before. We’d slept in the same bed when we were younger. We’d changed in the same room. Hell, we’d bathed together too. But we were kids then. Little kids. Not adults.

Our parents got married when we were kids, so we literally grew up together. He’s practically like my brother.

I sighed. “It’s acting, right? Just playing a part while the camera rolls.” I tapped my fingers on my knee as I read the whole thing again.

Even if I could get past the whole getting kinky and naked with my brother thing, there was no way in hell I’d be able to talk Noah into it. Not only was it all kinds of weird and gross, but he wasn’t gay.

“We probably won’t fit this Author’s ideal for her characters anyway.”

Nowhere did it list what physical attributes they were looking for. Apart from the age range, there was no description.

Disregarding the serious applicants only part of the application, I pulled up my email and started typing a message to this Ethan Jacobs guy.

Subject: Interest in the job

This is Nicholas and Noah Vega. We’re writing to apply for the job of a model for the book covers. Our heights are six foot two and five foot eleven, our eye colors are blue and halsey, our hair colors are blond and black, and lastly, we've attached a few pictures of us together.

When I hit send, I laughed. There was no way I’d hear from this author.

There was no way that was a real job listing. Twenty-five thousand dollars for kinky taboo pictures?

“If you want to pay me that much to be in your photo shoot, I’ll find a way to convince Noah.

I slammed my laptop closed and sank back on my bed.

Nate’s POV A shrill cry reverberated through the walls and into my bones. I shivered and scowled at the ceiling. It was eight thirty on a Saturday morning. If I didn’t have a meeting with Adeline and her crew at nine, I wouldn’t be up right now. Never had I wished I had somewhere else to live more. Somewhere quiet and peaceful.I doubled-checked myself in the mirror. For the interview, I’d chosen a nice pair of dark jeans and a moss green sweater that brought out the hints of green in my eyes. My white collared shirt poked through just right and gave me a preppy, put-together look. I’d used a bit of product to make my thick hair orderly and shaved so I had an attractive babyface, which I hated. If I left some stubble on my chin, it made me look older, but it was an interview, and I figured presentable was the way to go.My phone chimed, and I snapped it up.Nate: I’m outside, and I’m not coming into that crazy house.Nick: OMW!I pocketed my phone and grabbed my designer leather

Nick’s POV Syndrome lounge was stupidly busy when we crowded in the front door. It wasn’t yet eight o’clock, but that was what happened on Friday nights this close to the university. Students drifted in to start drinking the minute they were done with classes.Nate aimed for the bar without looking back. He’d been quiet on the drive over and wouldn’t look at me. His grip on the steering wheel was knuckle-whitening tight, and he may have burned rubber on a few corners, driving too fast. But the biggest indicator of his troubled mind was the silence. No music playing was a flashing neon sign of Nate’s mood. It was a rare day he didn’t have tunes on in the background. He lived his life to a soundtrack, and it was never silent. He ordered two mugs of Coors Light, since that was on tap, and when the sexy brunette bartender with the voluptuous tits slid them across the bar, Nate snapped them up and marched away without a second glance.Wow.He was supremely pissed. It was a rarer day

Nick's POV I pulled out my phone and the iPad to Asher. “Have you ever heard of this author?”He squirmed when he saw the two men on the cover, arms around each other, naked torsos crushed together. The one model was nibbling the other’s scruffy chin while the second looked to be midmoan. It was all kinds of hot and kinky.Noah shoved the iPad back. “No. Why? What the fuck are you reading? Is that porn?”“It’s gay erotica. Not porn.”“That’s nice. Why are you sharing your wack material with me? Dude, I love you, but… nahh.” He shuddered and waved a hand at the cover image like I should know how it made him feel.“Adeline Bloom is a huge, New York Times best-selling author. She writes gay romance and gay erotica and sells millions of copies of her books. She’s crazy popular … apparently.” I hadn’t heard of her until last week, but hey, I recognized her merit.Noah's face was all contorted and weird. “And?”I licked my lips and turned off my iPad. Finding my phone in my pocket, I look

  • Stepbrother, No One Has To Know   CHAPTER FOUR~ Tell Me About The Job Opportunity.

Nick’s POV The following day after class, I descended the stairs in front of the university’s library as I called my brother.“They’re gone,” he said in lieu of a hello.“Can you pick me up? I don’t want to walk. It’s a long way.”“Take the bus.”“Eww. Don’t be gross. I’ll get gonorrhea or something. Come on. Please?”“You’re such a whiny bitch sometimes.”“I am, but you love me and feel sorry for me. I’m the unwanted puppy, discarded without a care in the world. If you make me walk, I’ll spend the first hour of our time together complaining about sore feet instead of getting to the point.”“Fine, but why can’t we just go get a beer? I’ve been studying my ass off all week. I could use a cold one.”“We can’t. I need somewhere private to talk.”“Why? What’s this all about?”“Stuff and things. Trust me.”“God, you’re annoying. Fine. Where are you?”“At school. Front entrance of the library.”“On my way. Give me ten minutes.”“I knew you loved me.”“Shut up.”Noah pulled to the curb a sh

Nick's POV A week later, while surrounded by textbooks and notes and cold take-out coffee in the café area of the university’s library, my phone dinged its email notification noise.
