Rory's POV

The room still vibrated with tension as Dante’s voice carried over the murmurs.

“Jaxon,” he said evenly, his gray eyes never leaving his rival, “I understand this is your pack. But your father was the one who begged me to come here. Teaching Aurora is not an exemption, she is a student, just like the others. You know that, don’t you?”

The words should have calmed things, but they only fanned the flames.

Jaxon’s jaw locked, his nostrils flaring. “What I saw a while ago wasn’t teaching.”

The accusation cut through the tension. My throat went dry, my heart thundered as Dante’s lips curved in that mischievous smile, the one that both unsettled and disarmed me.

Still caught in Jaxon’s arms, I swallowed hard, my gaze darting helplessly between them.

Dante said nothing. The silence itself was provocation.

Jaxon looked down at me, his golden eyes dark and stormy. “Let’s go,” he said curtly.

Before I could protest, he dragged me out of the hall. The weight of countless sta

Rory's POV “Aurora Blackfang, Professor Dante wants you in his office.”The voice slit through the murmurs of the classroom vividly.I turned my head toward the doorway where a woman in her late forties stood, her eyes sweeping across the room as though she were weighing the weight of her words. She didn’t wait for a reply. With the swish of her skirt, she walked out.All eyes turned to me. My name, spoken like that full, formal, stretched heavy with authority to the walls of the classroom. For a moment, I couldn’t move. My heart thrummed wildly against my ribs, and a cold shiver worked its way up my spine. Then I exhaled, nodding faintly at Tessa. Her brows knit together, worry flashing in her eyes, but she gave me the smallest encouraging smile.I pushed myself to my feet, gathering the weight of every stare, and walked out.The hallway felt too long. Each step ringing in my ears, carrying the feeling of anticipation I didn’t want to admit was there.By the time I reached Professor

  • Stepbrothers Are Alpha Bikers And My Mates   Spitting Brave

Rory's POV Few minutes later after Dante left, the students poured in one by one back into the classroom with darting glances, all of it pressing against my skin like gnats in the summer air. My pulse hadn’t slowed from the encounter with Briar earlier, nor from Dante’s words that still rang inside my skull like a bell I couldn’t stop hearing. I had barely settled into the metal chair, gathering my thoughts when the sharp crack of a hand slamming against my desk jolted me upright. The sound echoed too loudly in the quieting classroom. My eyes shot up, locking onto one of Briar’s minions, the taller one with black hair with a permanent sneer in her mouth and fire burning too brightly in her eyes. “What the hell is this supposed to mean?” I asked flatly, refusing to flinch under the heat of her anger. Her lips rolled up. “How could you ruin today’s training, huh? Do you think everything revolves around you, you bitch?” The insult didn’t sting, not anymore. I had grown a skin too

  • Stepbrothers Are Alpha Bikers And My Mates   It doesn't forgive and it doesn't forget

Rory's POV “Part of me coming here is because of you.” His words hung in the stillness of the classroom, spoken with such calm certainty that for a moment, I thought I had misheard him.I looked up sharply, my heart stumbling in my chest. Dante’s gaze was unwavering. His posture didn’t change.“What?” My voice cracked slightly.“Part of me coming here…” His eyes narrowed, almost like he was weighing each word before releasing it. “…is because of you.”I stared at him, unable to breathe. My mind twisted, scrambling for meaning.“You knew me?” I asked, my words choking on my throat..He didn’t look away. “I’ve known you before you were born.”The air punched out of my lungs. “Huh?” I gasped, the sound ungraceful. How could that even make sense? He leaned back slightly, his arms folding across his chest calmly. “I knew your father longer,” he said, his tone quiet but steeped in something… sorrow? Regret? “He used to be a friend.”“Until no more,” he added, his voice lower now.“Until no

  • Stepbrothers Are Alpha Bikers And My Mates   Because of you

Rory's POVHow could my life spiral into this chaos?I had never asked for this. Not the attention. Not the chaos and certainly not the secrets that chained me here.God, I was tired.Dragging my body through the empty corridor, I finally reached my class. The silence was almost a blessing. Everyone had gone for PE. The air was still, the desks neatly aligned, sunlight spilling across the floor.I sank into my seat, slumping against the desk with a long exhale. The emptiness of the room amplified the loneliness inside me.I missed my Dad. The thought struck me hard, piercing deep.If he were alive, things would be different and I wouldn't have been in this hellhole of a place.Tears stung the corners of my eyes, but I blinked them away, chewing the inside of my cheek. Crying wouldn’t bring him back. Crying wouldn’t save me.The door creaked open and I looked up, startled, and froze.Dante.He stepped into the room with his usual unhurried grace, his dark hair framed his face, and his

Rory's POV I stormed out of the classroom before my body could betray me further. The taste of him was still etched on my lips, scorching like wildfire. My fingers brushed my mouth as though they might wipe it away, but they couldn’t. Jaxon kissed me.Jaxon. Kissed. Me.The thought spun in my head, dizzying, relentless. I heaved as I quickened my steps down the empty corridor, God, what was happening to me?I should have been furious. I was furious but beneath my anger was something worse, an ache I couldn’t silence. The fact that I still wanted him… hunted me insanely. My stomach twisted, nausea and longing wrestling inside me. I shook my head violently, as if I could toss the thoughts away. I refuse to drown in this, I wouldn’t.But fate, it seemed, wasn’t finished tormenting me because just as I rounded the corner, I collided with someone. The impact jolted me, nearly knocking me off balance. I looked up, ready to snap at the person then froze.Briar.Her lips curved into a smirk,
