Karica's POV

His need to berate me every time he opened his mouth was beginning to drive me nuts. I stayed quiet so he could get this over with.

"Rule no.1: You will show utmost respect to my family members and anyone I will ask you to.

Rule no. 2: You will stay in your allocated room and will only leave it with my permission. You are not allowed to roam around freely.

Rule no. 3: You will not try to tempt any more men. This is not the outside world where you can sleep around.

Rule no. 4: Don't ever talk about any of the men you have been with, in front of me or anyone else for that matter.

Rule no. 5: You will do exactly as I ask you to.

Failing to follow any of these rules and I will punish you severely."

The anger rose inside me like molten lava and I felt like a fu*king volcano, ready to burst open. Who the hell did he think I was? A cheap slut who wanted to sleep around.

"I am not a whore," I spat back at him, the bitterness rising inside me with every second, leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

"Right, if that's believable," he dismissively scoffed at me. The deadly stare he offered screamed his abhorrence. Those full lips I would have found utterly seductive if they weren't always sneering at me.

"I…," he raised his hand gesturing for me to stop talking. His coal-black eyes brimming with rage.

"I don't want to hear your explanations, nor do I need orations on your sexual activities, keep them to yourself," with those words he turned his face away from me. There was this disappointment in his tone. His left leg tapped on the car's floor. His chin rested on his bent hand, with his elbow resting against the car window.

'He is disappointed in you and he is right to be,' Laila voiced herself and I ignored her as usual. Guilt and fear of the unknown settled inside my belly. His tantalising scent which swirled all around me in this confined space did nothing to soothe me in that instant. It was driving Laila crazy and she wanted to touch and comfort him. According to her, I was the one who had upset him.

He said he would punish me and I wondered how much physical pain I could take. Lycans were known for their ferocity not gentleness and I never even wanted to meet one let alone be mated with one. My life was about to be one long painful ride. A shiver like a bolt of electricity passed through me and I shivered uncontrollably.

I could feel his heated gaze return to me, he must have felt my fear through the bond but he said nothing.

I turned my head and began to stare outside. It was a vast expanse of trees and snow-covered mountains as far as my eyes could see. It was night so I couldn't appreciate the beauty of this place. Seemed like it would be breathtaking, too bad I was to be a prisoner here and wouldn't even be able to roam around freely.

"Alpha! We are about to arrive," the lean blonde announced from the front in his throaty voice.

"Ensure no one is around, I don't want anyone to see her, Kamryn," he replied in that authoritative alpha tone of his without turning his head.

"Yes, Alpha," and I assumed he had to be his second in command.

Massive black iron gates came into view. A fully transformed humongous lycan with its claws outstretched and a full moon on the back with claw marks scratched on its surface was embedded in the gates. And I figured it was the symbol of the pack: The Warbringer Pack named after their clan.

Gates opened slowly without a sound and the car rolled inside. My heart thumped with unknown anticipation and fear. If only I had wings I would have flown away, away from him, away from this life I had no control over.

We passed several large buildings, all of them grand and modern-styled. The car stopped near a white and silver building and I lifted my head to take in its contemporary beauty.

It stood tall with a symmetrical facade boasting a minimalist aesthetic. Its exterior walls had been built with white marble, there were numerous windows which must permit abundant natural light to flood the interior. Awnings covered them.

Crafted from the same white marble the pillars framing and supporting the doorway had intricate silver patterns and carvings on them, running their whole length.

The interplay of white and silver hues created a sense of purity blended with modernity and sophistication. The exterior shimmered with white lights embedded all over its walls and I was in awe. It was indeed graceful and soothing to look at, other than being pristinely neat.

The car door opened and he extended his hand to callously grip my arm before pushing me out and I stumbled before steadying myself, sending him a hateful glare.

The as*hole could have spoken and asked me to step out but he had to manhandle me and exert his dominance. The typical male alpha thinking.

One thing I noticed was how he never took my hand, avoiding skin contact.

He led me inside the building, there was no one in sight and I was sure he had asked everyone to stay away. Not wanting anyone to see his 'shamed mate' I presumed. The two men who had accompanied us followed behind.

Entering the building we came to an enormous cosy-looking living room with plush sofas, cushions and a monstrosity of a flat-screen TV.

A heavily pregnant girl who seemed around my age stood there in a sky-blue flowy dress and a huge smile on her face. The soft curls of her chocolate brown hair fell on her forehead and shoulders, her flawless warm mahogany skin glowed and her intelligent hazel eyes were almond-shaped. The girl was breathtakingly beautiful.

"Alpha!" she bowed her head in submission and that scowl on his face melted to reveal a warmth he held for her. His darkened eyes had softened as he asked in a calm voice:

"How are you feeling, Melsine?"

"I feel great, thank you," she smiled softly, her eyes twinkling as her gaze connected with me.

I stood there awkwardly not knowing if to return her smile or just keep a neutral face so I simply chewed my lip, fidgeting on my feet.

And then her face brightened even more as her eyes roamed behind me and found someone.

"Kamryn!" she blurted out in excitement, her eyes widening as he approached and enveloped her in his arms, resting his head on hers.

"Mel!" he whispered, taking in a long breath and I knew he was soaking in her scent. So they were mates who were expecting a child together.

He finally let go of my arm and I slightly rubbed the area as he keenly watched them with flickers of hope dancing in his eyes.

"I am so glad you found her," she finally diverted her attention to us and spoke. Kamryn still affectionately held her close, his face revealing every emotion he felt for his mate.

"Has her room been arranged?" he simply ignored her statement and asked.

"Yes, Alpha. Everything is in order, should we serve dinner?"

"No, I am not hungry. Send her dinner to her room. From tomorrow she will eat with others and perform her duties," he nonchalantly replied and without waiting for their answer, took my arm and began to move again.

We reached a fleet of steps and began climbing. I trudged after him, my heels made it difficult to keep up with his quick pace and he didn't care if I tripped.

Reaching the third floor we passed a corridor and came across a room with an indigo-coloured door, he threw it open and pushed me inside with such force that I fell on the ground.

I whipped my head in annoyance and yelled.

"Stop shoving me, I can walk on my own."

"If you didn't have the tendency to run I wouldn't have to. Now shower, you reek of that fu*ker. And the next time I smell a male on you, I will punish you so severely that you will forget to even look at one," his brutal words pierced my heart and I forgot to breathe for a second. The tears of mortification singed my eyes and I just stared back at his face and sharp features that convulsed in aversion to my presence.

He watched me for a few more seconds, expecting a response so he could snap back at me but all I gave him was a silent stare.

"Shower," he thundered before banging the door closed and locking it from the outside.

  • Stolen By My Lycan Mate   Epilogue

(Three years later) Author’s POV “Mommy! look, butterfly.” Minerva pointed to the blue butterfly that was slowly flapping its wings over the multitude of flowers. The apple pendant rested peacefully around her neck. Karica sat on the fresh grass and happily watched her four-year-old daughter play in the small meadow that used to belong to the witches of Black Forest. Most of them were buried nearby after Vildus’s attack had killed them. Including two of her mentors, Gwardia and Arasia. The efforts of reconciliation had failed between her and Xynathius and she had moved here two years ago. He visited every week to meet Minerva and carrying hopes that Karica might decide to return but she never did. This place calmed her down, she could sense powerful magic running deep into the very ground and air. It pulled Karica and Minerva too. Her daughter was already showing early signs of possessing magic and this place helped channel that in a peaceful environment. The protection charm

  • Stolen By My Lycan Mate   Her Truths

Karica’s POVReturning to my former pack and going on a limb to talk to the man I thought was my father all my life, was not easy. With my state of mind, I just wanted to get this over with and he needed to hear me out. Kaina was overjoyed to see me and so was Selia. We hugged and sat down to talk. “We were so worried about you. It was a relief when news of your return arrived.” Kaina held me close and I sat with my head resting on her shoulder. Selia was holding my other hand. “Yes, indeed. And Kilran told me about Adiyan. I am sorry your friend is gone,” Selia sympathetically said not knowing he meant so much more to me and I was no more afraid of talking aloud about him. “He was also my mate. I am a part witch and so was he. Adiyan was the best thing to happen to me and I lost him because I didn't value him enough.” I spoke my truth and both girls were a bit taken aback. Two mates were unheard of and I didn't want to burden them with the likes of Vildus. He was no mate to me.

  • Stolen By My Lycan Mate   Lingering Scent In His Room

Karica’s POVHow I made it from the cemetery to his home was all blurry. Xynathius held me all along but he didn't say much and if he did, I didn't remember. His family was kind enough to let me go to his room. I slowly opened the door and lingering whiffs of his scent blanketed me. I paused, closed my eyes and got hold of my emotions. Flicking on the light switch, I let my eyes roam his sanctuary for one last time. Everything was immaculately laid out, neat and in its place. His bed, where we had cuddled so many times. His gaming area, where we had endlessly played video games. His closet filled with his clothes, ones he would never get a chance to wear again. I traced my fingertips on everything he had owned while heavily sighing. The empty feeling in my chest grew. The echoes of his laughter still persisted from the moments when he used to tickle me. All that was just reduced to his loving memories. Stepping closer to his bed, and there between his pillows, I found the wolfie st

  • Stolen By My Lycan Mate   They Buried My Heart

Karica’s POVXynathius’s words were like gasoline on my already raging self. The loss of Adiyan had torn my heart into so many pieces that I couldn't put them back together anymore. Every breath was torture for I was reminded of him. I had no clue how to cope with such stifling emotions. Barely holding on and now this revelation further shattered me. Adiyan had felt me, he had reached out to me but Xynathius never even gave me an option to choose. He knew I would choose him. I silently shook my head at Xynathius so disappointed. He had not only taken my free will he even snubbed my rights to choose my mate. His presence and scent which should soothe me in such a moment was nothing but torture. “Because I am selfish when it comes down to you. I wanted you all by myself. It was wrong, I admit it but I was desperate. Sharing you was something I could never do.” His words blazed me and I flipped. All the pent-up anger inside me emerged like a poisonous snake and bit him. “It was not y

  • Stolen By My Lycan Mate   The Distrust

Xynathius’s POVVildus was gone from our lives as well as our world but so was Adiyan. The prophecy was completed and fulfilled, leaving my mate broken. She wouldn't let go of Adiyan’s body, she wouldn't hear me, Laila or Zilver. Everyone had been shut out as she mourned the loss of her mate. I touched her shoulder letting her know I was there for her but she just sat there dazedly, staring blankly at his face. The guilt dug its tentacles deep into my heart. Adiyan was a better man than me in every aspect and he would have made an exceptional mate to her. Karica was right about him when she first met me. And yet he was gone and I was partially responsible. The guilt will never fade. I owed my life to him, he died protecting us and this was a kind of debt which couldn't be repaid. She bent down and kissed his lips and then his forehead. Her lips stayed there in a final goodbye as she hugged him to her chest, a scream and a tremorous wave of energy burst through her and hit us all

  • Stolen By My Lycan Mate   The Prophecy Is Fulfilled

Karica’s POVThe most horrendous scream escaped me as my body jerked forward, the whole world blurring around me. All I could hear and focus on was Adiyan’s slowly beating heart. He was still alive but for how long?My own seemed to have been crushed under a boulder and there was only one thought on my mind. I had to save my mate. I slowly watched Vildus reaching out to him, the time seemed to be progressing at a snail’s pace for me. Vildus was about to slit his throat. “Noooo,” I cried out in desperation as a surge of spiked air with frozen thunderbolts shot out and were hurled in Vildus’s direction. His hollowed-out laugh erupted and clung to my sides as he disintegrated into bats and tried to fly away again. “No, you won't,” I screamed out with all the disgust and rage I carried. Halting, I converged my hands together, the blackened energy I carried inside rushed out in gigantic swirls and wrapped themselves around Vildus’s bats like writhing snakes. This was my piled-up hate f
