Chapter 13 - Great Actor

Jade felt her head spin and closed her eyes but opened it wide when she remembered her morning shift in the hospital.

She bolted up from the bed only to land back on the bed when her head throbbed with pain and dizziness attacked.

Laying flat on the bed, a low and attractive voice filled the expanse of the silent room.

"Are you really a doctor? You don't even know how to take care of yourself when you're sick," was Tyler's sardonic remark.

Opening her eyes, the man was towering over her while he stood beside the bed. He was already dressed in his military uniform which Jade deduced he was now reporting for duty.

His hazel eyes were like the stars that hang in the sky shining in the dark were looking into Jade's blue eyes, like the vast ocean, shimmering under the sunlight.
