Chapter 14 - Unwelcome

It was noon time when Jade stepped out of the room being asked to dine with the hostess of the mansion.

"Ms. Jade, your presence was requested at the dining room," Simeon said, carefully examining Jade from head to toe.

In his early fifties, Simeon, who had been serving the Zimmerman's for thirty years, saw Tyler grow up and knew who the people around Tyler were. And he never saw Jade to be one of them.

Being with Zimmerman for a long time, Simeon had knowledge of the stipulation made by Tyler's father regarding his inheritance. Simeon knew that Tyler's father didn't want him to marry Sophia.

Hence, he was suspicious that Jade was just a wife on paper.

Jade wasn't simple minded, she knew that Simeon was sizing her up. Nevertheless, she chose to ignore his scrutiny.

"I'll be there in 10 minutes," Jade staggered and swayed when she got up from the bed and nearly collapsed back into the bed but she managed to steady herself.

"Madam doesn't want to wait," Simeon spoke indifferently
