Evelyn's POV

With a wince, I rubbed my butt and met Tyler’s angry eyes… he glared at me with so much hatred and disgust that caused my heart to ache.

I must have been crazy to think that just one drunken man talk would end three years of pent-up hatred.

Gone was that vulnerability I saw yesterday and standing in front of me wasn’t the man I laid with yesterday.

He was gone just like the alcohol had left his system.

“Can’t you hear me? What the fuck are you still doing here?” He thundered, causing me to flinch.

“Don’t you remember Ty?” I dared ask.

“Yesterday was our anniversary Ty and you came in here drunk…” I added quietly avoiding his eyes, but I could still feel the intensity of his glare.

If looks could kill, I’d be dead, but I was ready for this… I didn’t regret lying in his warmth even though it was just for a few hours.

“We share no relationship, woman why were you laying on my body… you really have some nerve!” He snarled, venoms dripping from his words.

“You came home drunk, I wanted to leave, but you stopped me, so I just stayed… ”, I began and boldly walked towards him.

“Do you really not remember Ty… You said you loved me, You apologized…” My words trailed off as he slapped me before pushing me back once again.

Instinctively, I raised to cradle my cheeks in surprise, with tears streaming down I whispered, “why?”

“I was drunk, and you decided to take advantage of me!”

“What the fuck is wrong with you!” He continued his hatred glaring right in my face and just then the door opened, I watched my best friend walk in and hurried to his side.

“What is with the blood everywhere?” She asked not even bothering to look at me.

The blood was mine from the broken glass last night, I wanted to say but just let the tears drop as I stared at Tyler while wondering why Alicia would comfortably enter my matrimonial bedroom and cling to my husband!

“Evelyn just made me lose it!” He spat with so much disdain and my best friend asked instead of being worried about me, “is she still so desperate?”

Desperate?

This was my husband.

I didn’t understand what was going on here, but alarms in my head were blaring.

Alicia, my supposed best friend had walked in and saw me clenching my face but said nothing and rather ran to my husband's side?

“What are you doing here? In my husband's arms?” I asked her, wiping away my tears and rather than an answer, she burst into laughter.

“Baby, why haven't I told her?” She finally asked Tyler that took a look in his eyes I couldn’t decipher.

“Told me what?” I pressed the feeling of dread feeling me up once more.

“You will be stepping down as Luna tomorrow, Alicia is pregnant with my child.” Tyler just casually said, his words a punch to my gut.

I took steps backwards, my eyes wide in surprise while Alicia held my gaze with a smirk.

What?

“Why?” I asked heartbroken, but he didn’t even look guilty.

“Alicia, you are supposed to be my best friend!” I burst into tears and with that smug look she asked, “What were you expecting, I mean he needs a child, and he can’t have one with a traitor!”

“It’s been three years Tyler and to taunt me for a crime I didn’t commit you and sleep with this slut?!” I yelled and Alicia moved to slap me when I held her back.

Never again.

Was this what he meant when he asked for forgiveness yesterday?

“This has nothing to do with that, Alicia is with my child and I have no choice here” he said softly, and I couldn’t almost hear the guilt in his voice, but I knew better.

I burst into laughter, and they watched me confused as I laughed away my pain.

“How would you have reacted if I told you I had slept with another man and was pregnant?” I asked, my eyes locked on Tyler’s.

His face darkened, his eyes flashing with anger and I watched as his jaw clenched, and his fists curled at his sides.

For a moment, I thought he might lunge at me. “You would never do that,” he growled, his voice low and menacing but to me, it looked so comical.

What a hypocrite!

“You're my mate.” The word was laced with possessiveness, and would have caused a shiver run down my spine in delight, but I couldn’t feel it.

All I felt was anger!

The pain of betrayal!

But I just laughed again, the sound tearing from my throat. “That's rich, coming from you,” I spat, my eyes blazing with anger. “You, who have betrayed me in the worst possible way.”

“I stayed! I prayed! I hoped! I wasn’t about to walk out on our vows because you thought I did what I didn’t do and what did you do?” I cried out.

Alicia scoffed but thankfully said nothing, for her own good.

“How much more do I have to take before you let all this go? Before you think I have paid enough!” I begged, but the indifference in his look told me all I needed to know before he said anything.

“She was my only family, you know how I felt about her, yet you are asking me when your punishment will be enough?” He finally spoke, his eyes clouded with an emotion I couldn’t decipher.

It was never going to be enough to fill the void in him!

He was broken, and I knew I couldn’t fix it… I was done trying too!

“You are unredeemable! You must be crazy to think that I would take this too! I was ready to take everything but this…”

I glared at Alicia, “You and this snake?” I added before laughing again.

I should have done this a long time ago, but I was stuck… All I used to see was the man I had fallen in love with until today!

“Yesterday you asked me to stay, you asked me to forgive you… you gave me hope before crushing it all over again!” I continued holding his gaze and ignoring his bitch.

Interrupting, Alicia sneered, “Shut up! And enough of your drama, you should have thought about this when you let your dad go… you should have run away with him”.

Looking at her, I wondered where that attitude had been a while ago.

Was this what she meant when she promised to help be a mediator?

I should have known the signs were there, but I ignored them because of Love?

Love was nothing but a myth.

“That’s all I keep asking myself, but I won’t step down for your pregnant mistress!” I said, my voice cracking slowly.

With a frown, he coldly said, “You leave me no choice…”

Stopping him before he insulted me any further, “I’ll leave both of you to it… this is the last day you would see me cry, I am done with this stupid charade”

“I, Evelyn Carter hereby annul whatever had bound us, Alpha Tyler Blackwood”, ignoring his angry call, I walked out without looking back.

I pray we never have to cross paths again, Alpha Tyler.

TylerThe hospital lights were too bright, too white. The whole place smelled like sterilized pain, and it drove me insane.Christian was barking orders, shouting at nurses and slamming his fists into the walls when things didn’t move fast enough. I almost told him to shut up, but I couldn’t even blame him. Evelyn was screaming when we got there.“She’s bleeding,” I muttered as we watched the nurses wheel her in. “This isn’t normal.”“The fuck do you think I’m doing here then?” Christian snapped, not even looking at me. His hands were clenched, jaw tight, and his eyes… they weren’t cold. They were scared. I wasn’t used to seeing that on him.The doctor came out with his mask still hanging from his chin.“She has cervical cancer. We’ll have to do a cesarean immediately. It’s too risky otherwise.”Christian stepped forward. “I want a different team. I don’t trust any of you.”The doctor raised a brow. “We’re the best here.”“You’re not good enough.”I put a hand on his shoulder before t

Leo ThanperThe sun was already up, but I didn’t care. I grabbed the edge of the stone block and dragged it across the yard. It was damn heavy, but I kept moving it anyway. My muscles burned like hell, sweat ran down my chest, and my throat was dry, but none of it mattered. Working out was the only thing that helped clear my head these days.Everything had gone quiet after Evelyn was found. Thank the moon for that. It could’ve ended worse. It had been months and it felt like just yesterday Raya. I never liked her. She always had that desperate gleam in her eyes anytime Christian so much as breathed with Evelyn. But to abduct Evelyn? Just to stop her from giving birth to his child? She lost her damn mind. And now, thanks to Evelyn’s testimony, she was locked up. Good. She deserved it.I straightened up and reached for my towel, wiping the sweat off. The yard smelled of wet earth and pine, Redwood’s scent. My pack. My home.A door creaked behind me, and one of my betas jogged over.“Al

ChristianIt had been three fucking days, three long, brutal, mind-numbing days. I hadn’t slept. I hadn’t eaten. I didn’t give a shit if my body broke down. We searched every damn street, every back alley, every pack line. Nothing. Not a single fucking trace of her. I stood outside Tyler’s mansion now, drenched in sweat and dirt, fists clenched so tight I felt my own claws trying to break through skin. Leo stood by the gate, face blank, but his eyes were dark. Tyler was pacing the front yard like a caged beast.“I’m telling you,” Tyler muttered, yanking the wood from one of his betas, “they knew what they were doing."“No shit,” I snapped. “But who are they? Rogues don’t move like that. And they sure as hell don’t leave zero trail.”Leo leaned on the SUV, arms crossed. “She’s not just some Luna anymore. She’s carrying a child, one of yours. That’s motive enough for half the goddamn continent.”I turned sharply to him. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”“Nothing,” he shrugged. “

Tyler BlackwoodI kept walking but my mind wasn’t in it. That man, Leo, there was something about him. I know I’ve seen his face before. Four months ago, after Evelyn was mistakenly injected with my damn sample, he was ways hanging around her, I didn’t think much of it then, but now? Now it’s coming back. That face, that always calm face, i’ve seen it somewhere before all this mess started. And I knew he’s hiding something, te way he looked at me earlier, I able to tell he lied straight to my face… I knew I've also seen him around my mansion a few times too, back when Evelyn and I were still together. I don’tvknow how but I know."Shit," I muttered under my breath.I kept walking, not even sure where I was going. Evelyn probably doesn’t even want to see me, not after the last time we spoke. I said things I shouldn’t have, I even kissed her. Why the fuck did I do that? If I'm being honest, it was because I still wanted her. Living with her again after all these years made me realize s

Leo Thanper’s POVI walked through the hallways of Bluestone’s hospital, boots echoing against the tiles. Everything about this place worried. The smell, the silence, the concern on every damn face that passed me. I didn’t want to be here. But I came anyway.A few minutes ago, a beta showed up at the gates with a message. Christian Blackwood wanted to see me, urgently, no details, no context. Just that Evelyn was involved.I didn’t even wait to change clothes. I drove straight here, ignoring the guards who looked like they wanted to stop me at the gates. But they didn’t, not today, because something was wrong. And now I knew why, Evelyn was in an accident, they were supposed to protect her. She was under their roof, nder their damn command. They swore she’d be safe. Now she was lying unconscious in a hospital bed.I clenched my fists, jaw tight. They said she was stabbed. Stabbed, right in their mansion. In their territory, with all their guards and wolves and cameras, someone still g

Christian Blackwood's POVThe sun was doing its best to fry the whole damn compound. I was sitting outside the mansion, legs crossed, arms thrown over the backrest of the sofa.Bluestone had a certain charm. Annoyingly clean brickwork, manicured hedges, flowers that probably cost someone’s paycheck. Tyler might be a hot-headed bastard, but I’ll give him this, he knew how to make things look expensive.I closed my eyes and let out a slow sigh. Peace. For once. The breeze didn’t bite, the birds weren’t chirping like they were on meth, and I was just about to lose myself in that rare moment when I heard the damn heels.Click. Click. Click.Fuck, I didn’t even need to look.My smile died before I opened one eye.Raya.She stood there like she was waiting for me to beg her to speak, I didn’t move I just looked ahead, trying to pretend the sun was more interesting than whatever drama she came with this time.“Well?” I muttered, my tone low and flat. “What can I do for you on this beautiful,
