4~Hannah

My eyes opened and I immediately recognized where I was. The rock hard chest my head laid on heaved up and down.

I glanced around the dark themed bedroom. Black, white and grey were the most dominant colours with a splash of brown here and there. I had never been in here because he always locked it on his way out and for some reason I didn't bother to search for the spare key. Maybe I was too scared of his reaction if he ever found out that I was snooping around.

I glanced up and my eyes met his pointy chin and the outline of his jaw. I raised my head to glance at his features properly. His thin lips that had kissed mine on several accounts last night, his thick lashes made me want to create extensions for mine. His sharp pointy noise that took in my scent in the middle of a deep penetrating thrust.

I was wet all over again at the thought. I wanted more of this man. More of his touch, more of his affection and most importantly, his love. I wanted all of him.

But then I remembered what he had said in the middle of our lovemaking.

"Who is Carrie?" I found myself whispering.

Just then I felt him stir in his sleep and I placed my head back on his chest. I had to savour this moment for as long as I could.

"Good morning." His sexy morning voice had my ears tingling.

"Good morning." I said back, trying to fight the blush that crept up my cheeks. "Uhm, did you sleep well?"

"Yeah. Did you?"

I nodded, "I did."

I raised my head so I could at least get a glimpse of his face.

"Can I ask you something?"

He was silent for a few seconds. "Go on."

"Who is Carrie?"

There was a sharp intake of breath from him while I waited with eager ears for him to answer the question.

"The night is over Hannah. You can leave now." He said.

"But-"

"Were you thinking that sex would suddenly change the way I see you?" He asked out of the blue.

I was too dumbfounded to respond.

"Shut the door on your way out." He was already heading towards what I presumed was the bathroom when he said that.

Shamefully I picked up my t-shirt, slid into it and rushed out of the room. And the moment I got into my room, I cried a little more than I should have. This was what I wanted, I wanted him to stay with me for the night so why was I hurting now that the night had come and gone?

As I went in for a shower, everything reminded me of him. The way he caressed and filled me with every inch of him. It hurt.

When I eventually came out of the bathroom, I had missed a few calls from Marv. I dialed her back without delay.

"Hey Marv." I said as she picked up on the second ring.

"Hey Hannah, I've been calling. Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine. I was in the bathroom."

"Alright. So... did it work?"

"Yeah, it kinda did." I said with a sigh.

"What do you mean?"

I glanced at the time, "Let's talk about this over brunch. Your place?"

"Sure. I'll make something extra special." She said.

"Thanks Marv." I said and hung up.

By the time I got dressed up and came out, Zachary had left. He was never around so it was no surprise.

I exchanged pleasantries with Malia very quickly as she went about her duties. Then I had to convince Louis that I wasn't in anyway offended just because I told him I'll drive myself. The man looked terribly sorry for no reason at all, it was funny and heartwarming at the same time.

I eventually drove myself to Marv's condo apartment in the middle of the bustling city. The scent of peaches teased my nostrils as soon as I stepped in.

"It smells so good in here." I said, just before entering the kitchen where she was setting up the table for us.

"It always does."

"Just say a thank you. It's not that hard Marv." I sarcastically retorted, heading over to the fridge to grab whatever fruit I could find.

"Seat your gluttony ass down. There's more than enough food on the table." She said.

I gasped, "Rude. You are a rude single woman." I wagged my finger in her face before bending over to take off my heels.

It was her turn to gasp and glare, "I can see you want to starve."

"Oooh I'm scared." I plopped down on the seat opposite hers just as we laughed.

We ate in between talks and laughs. I cleared up the dishes after our meal and was busy with washing them in the sink while she wiped and kept them away.

"So, are you ready to talk about it?"

If I knew Marv well enough, I was hella sure that she was having a hard time hiding her curiosity and eagerness to hear all about how our plan had turned out. I appreciated the fact that she respected me enough to not probe until she felt I was comfortable enough.

"It happened." I shrugged.

"By 'it' you mean you two did the nasty?" She grinned widely.

I blinked twice, "It would be less awkward if you just call it sex."

"Yeah that." She chuckled.

"Well we did it,"

"How was it?"

An involuntary moan escaped my throat at the reminder, "It was amazing. I didn't want it to end." I shut my eyes as the images flashed before my mind's eye.

"Hold up, before you go daydreaming about your what should be a norm in your marriage," she rolled her eyes. "Did you take the pill I gave you?"

"I did and I think it worked cause I was extra horny." I said with a blush.

She nodded, "Good. Let's just hope this works out."

"What if it doesn't?" A stream of worry was slowly seeping into me. What if our plans fell through?

"I can't assure that it'll work but on the bright side, you get to walk away with something if it falls through." She placed a comforting palm on my shoulder.

"Yeah, you're right." I said more to myself than to her.

"Now come give me the full details. I want to know everything!"

"Excuse me, that's private. When you get married you'd understand." I patted her head and sassily walked over to the couch, grabbing a glass of juice with me.

"Yeah right, I'm sure you're dying to tell me how he dicked you down." She snorted.

"Language, Marv!"

"We don't have kids here, silly."

"I could be pregnant." I retorted.

She gave me a dead stare and I burst out laughing. She joined in seconds later.

I pensively glanced at my phone's clock once again. Zachary was nowhere to be seen and I had promised his mother that he would show up for the charity ball we were invited to. He needed to be here for appearance sake.

I messaged him when the invite arrived and in a single word he had assured he was going to be here. 'Okay' had to count for a positive reply, yeah?

"Hannah?"

I looked up from my phone again.

"Mom?"

"There's someone I'd like you to meet. Where's Zach?"

"On his way, I guess."

"I'll call him," She brought her phone out.

"I don't think there'll be any need for that." I dissuaded her as soon as I spotted him.

He was walking towards us, looking dashing as always. It seemed like he just had a shave and I wanted nothing more than to run my hands over that face.

"Hey Mom." He leaned over and placed a kiss on her cheek.

"Hey sweetie. We've been waiting. Your father wants you to meet someone." She held his arm and was about pulling him with her.

"Yeah just give Hannah and I a minute mom."

She was surely taken aback by that statement, so was I. More than anything, I was worried about him creating a scene right in front of all these people.

What if...? My eyes widened. What if he found out what I did? How was I going to explain myself if he found out?

He leaned closer while I stood as stiff as a rock, waiting for him to whisper whatever he had to say in my ear. To my utmost surprise, he pressed his lips to mine in a not so brief lip lock. For the life of me I did not see that coming, I glanced up and saw that mom had mirrored my expression but with way more excitement than shock. It was the opposite for me.

He pulled away and smiled. Zachary hardly ever smiled, especially not at me. Something had to be up and now I was scared. He wasn't drunk or tipsy as I had earlier assumed.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked him cautiously.

"No." He gave me a cheeky grin and walked over to Mom, leaving me in a state of profound confusion.

They went ahead of me to discuss with a prospective client and though I would have followed, I had to text Marv.

'Hey, I think there's something off about Zachary.' I texted rapidly.

Quick as always, she responded to my text. 'What's up. Do I need to come over? Is he wielding a weapon?'

'Relax it's not that deep. We're at this charity ball, he came in late and he kissed me, he even smiled at me! Zachary smiled!'

'How is this a problem? I'm guessing he's horny and wants you to warm his bed tonight. He's going to make you two leave early if it's that bad.'

"Oh." I said aloud. I didn't think about it like that.

'I don't know how to feel about this.' I typed and sent.

'Isn't that what you want? You know those pills don't always work at first trial so this is actually a good thing. Right?'

'Right.' My thumb hovered over the send button. I didn't want the conversation to continue. 'Ttyl Marv, I need to concentrate on the event.' I added and when I saw that it had been delivered, I pushed the power button.

I made my way to the table stipulated for the Hawkins family and sat next to Zach, silently staring at the platform where the anchor was talking about the organization we were gathered here for.

We were hardly at the end of another long speech when he leaned closer to say something in my ear, again.

"How about we ditch this bore fest?" I felt his hand crawl up my thigh through the slit on my dress and I shivered.

Once again Marv was right. And since it was what I thought I wanted, I followed him blindly for a night of passion.
