Enjoy… 🤭❤️❤️❤️Once again he had walked past me like I did not exist. Like I was a piece of furniture that simply stayed put and watched its owner walk by, unable to utter a word.I opened my mouth to call out to him but the words hung in my throat as I reminisced on what had happened the last few times that I tried to speak to him. I certainly did not want a repeat of that but how long would we continue like this?I looked up again and saw that he was long gone, leaving me to bask in the scent of his signature cologne that lingered for longer than it was supposed to.I stared down at the flashy rings on my finger and let out a shaky breath. He never wore his ring, what was the point of wearing mine all over the place when the man I was married to did not even value our union? I was nothing more than a burden to him and he did well to show his thorough dislike for me.I glanced at the calendar on my phone and grimaced. It was a painful reminder that I had been married for half a year and I had never
"Hey momma." I blew a kiss at her as soon as her face popped up on the screen. She gave me a big smile before frowning again. "Okay before you scold me, I'm sorry I haven't called you. Work has been crazy." I explained. "Hmm," her eyes squinted in obvious suspicion. "How's my son in-law?" She asked. "He's great!" I forced a wide grin, hoping she wouldn't see through it. "I don't see a baby bump." She adjusted her glasses. "Mum, it's a selfie camera." I deadpanned. She had been disturbing me for a grandchild from the first week I got married. "You still don't look pregnant." She pointed out. "Mum we're taking our time, let us be." I rolled my eyes. "We?" She vigorously shook her head. "I don't want to believe my son in-law is part of this." I laughed. She always saw Zach as perfect. Rich, handsome and impeccably brilliant. Who wouldn't believe that he was the perfect man for them? I thought he was for me too. "Are you there, Hannah?" She called out to me, jolting me out of my
I twisted the knob on the door that led to my office and halted as I spotted a familiar figure seated in the room. "Dad." "Hello son." He smiled at me, I didn't return it. "What are you doing here so early?" I asked, walking over to my desk. He shrugged, "Well your mother wanted me to come see you and I couldn't say no." "Thanks for checking on me. I'm fine, thank you." I said. "You didn't ask how we're doing." He said. "I'm sure you're fine." "How's Hannah?" I paused my movements and looked up at him, "If you want to know how Hannah is doing, I suggest you ask her." "She's-" "I know she went over to yours and probably shed crocodile tears to make you pity her. I suggest that you stop getting her hopes up and allow her file for a divorce." "Why haven't you filed for it?" He threw the question at me. "That's because she wouldn't leave me alone until she's fed up and she'll definitely take this to court. I don't need any of that drama." I weakly explained. "Or maybe you sti
My eyes opened and I immediately recognized where I was. The rock hard chest my head laid on heaved up and down.I glanced around the dark themed bedroom. Black, white and grey were the most dominant colours with a splash of brown here and there. I had never been in here because he always locked it on his way out and for some reason I didn't bother to search for the spare key. Maybe I was too scared of his reaction if he ever found out that I was snooping around.I glanced up and my eyes met his pointy chin and the outline of his jaw. I raised my head to glance at his features properly. His thin lips that had kissed mine on several accounts last night, his thick lashes made me want to create extensions for mine. His sharp pointy noise that took in my scent in the middle of a deep penetrating thrust. I was wet all over again at the thought. I wanted more of this man. More of his touch, more of his affection and most importantly, his love. I wanted all of him.But then I remembered wha
I opened my eyes and saw that Zach had left. His side of the bed had gone cold. I sighed, though I was in his bedroom, I still felt abandoned. I felt like a one night stand. A knock on the door had me sitting up. It was Malia."Good morning madam." She came in, holding a tray filled with delicacies."Morning Malia." I yawned."Seems like you had a busy night." She grinned. I held my blanket closer, almost sinking into the bed due to embarrassment. I didn't want to imagine how messy my hair must have looked."No need to be shy now. This is good." Malia reminded me of my mother a lot. If my mom was still in America she would most probably do the same thing Malia did. I was glad she wasn't though. It would hurt her to know that my marriage had gone from two strangers living together to a friends with benefits situation with no strings attached. "He said to bring breakfast for you. He believes you'll be too exhausted to come down to join him.""He's home?""Surprisingly so." She smiled
I was tired, really tired. My trip has drained me so much, I just wanted to sleep and not do anything else. But of course I had to be in the office because it was necessary.I had been working for a few hours when a knock came through. I scowled. I had specifically told my secretary to not let anyone disturb me. "Come in!" I said and with curious eyes I watched the door to see whoever was behind it. To my greatest surprise, it was Hannah. Wait, Hannah? I got on my feet in reflex. She had never been here before so there had to be something wrong."Hi." She waved, giving me a blank stare. "What are you doing here?""I have something to discuss with you." She barely spared me a glance as she said so. Something had to be really wrong at this point.I offered her a seat and went over to sit down on mine, eagerly awaiting her words despite having an expressionless face on."Here," she stretched a folder over to me. "I need you to sign these." "What are these?" I slowly took the folder an
It was the weekend and I was taking a walk outside the mansion. The nausea was getting to me really and I needed some air to help dampen it. I waved at Louis as he wiped the cars clean of the morning dew that had settled on them. Shockingly, Zachary's favorite car was one of them. I was surprised that he was even in but of course I had been avoiding him ever since..I had been speaking to James who had been trying to convince me to not go through with the divorce for now because if Zachary did not want to sign, we would have to go to court and the whole back and forth, according to him, would be too stressful for me in my condition. I laughed at all of that.Screw me for picking Zachary's best friend as my divorce lawyer. "Madam!" I turned as Louis called out to me. "Miss Malia said to call you in for breakfast." He said."I'll be there in a minute. Thank you." I said to him before he turned to leave. With one last breath of fresh air, I turned back around to head into the house.Z
"Why?" I groaned, "What do you mean why? Your mom is in the guest room downstairs.""Can you repeat that last sentence?" She innocently asked.I was confused but I repeated it anyway. "Your mom is in the guest room downstairs?""Exactly." She made to walk away.I held her arm, "Where are you going?""Back to my room, duh?" She removed her arm from my grip hurriedly."I thought we had a deal." I said."We did. We have to pretend in front of my mom and she's not coming upstairs anytime soon so I do not have to share a room with you." She responded."What are you running away from?" I smirked."Running away? We've had separate rooms since forever Zachary." She scoffed.I shut my eyes. Though I didn't want to admit it, I liked it when she called my whole name in a somewhat deep and sarcastic tone."You know I like it when you call my name like that." I reached for her tiny waist."We're pretending to be in love so don't get any funny ideas while we're at it." She warned, taking a few ste
