From the corner of his eyes, Trevor saw that Lucas had a mocking smile etched on his face while Phoebe continued to glare at him hatefully. He was sure she wouldn’t hesitate to shoot him if she were holding a gun at that point.

Returning his eyes to the little human in front of him, warmth spread in his heart as he saw the way his tiny brows furrowed in confusion.

“I can’t call you daddy as I have one already,” Ivan replied innocently, unknowingly shattering his heart into a thousand shreds with his words.

“Err..baby,” Lucas called Ivan, interrupting Trevor who had wanted to say something. Swallowing saliva to get rid of the lump that formed in his throat, Trevor watched as Lucas approached them., his expression laced with mockery and amusement.

Lucas picked the toddler, and as if to add to Trevor’s heartache, Ivan wrapped his tiny arms around Lucas’s neck and grinned happily.
