On the crowd's insistence, Phoebe sang another of her favorite songs, this time with her eyes open and staring at her audience. She could see them, but was unable see their faces or the expression they had on. But she didn't care as she unsealed all of her emotions into the love song, feeling more confident than she had when she did the first song. It felt like a new part of her had been uncaged and left to explore the world. She felt more alive.

Phoebe’s heart swelled with joy as the crowd’s applause sailed through her ears, reminding her that she wasn't locked up in her bedroom. With a sly smile on her face, she lived in the moment and registered the way she felt to be there.
