Meeting Chloe

“Charles!”Chloe called out immediately I picked her call.

I tried to keep up with the mean character I had created in Pamela's head. She shouldn't catch me chuckling.

“How are you doing?”I asked in a neutral and low tone.

“I’m fine and I missed you. I just came back to New York, and you crossed my mind,”Chloe said, and unconsciously the end of my lips began to lift up in a smile.

“I missed seeing you too,”I said and she chuckled. Imagining her perky lips stretching out in a smile brought a feeling of warmth to my heart.

“So I will be at your place tonight, what do you say about that?”Chloe asked.
