She is my savior

As soon as the vehicle entered the sumptuous property, the driver parked in front of the mansion with a white facade. Enrico remained seated, his countenance heavy. The big man opened the car door and waited a few seconds until Enrico pulled out and closed the button of the blazer.

The first floor lights were on. The moment he entered the house, he heard his uncle’s voice complaining about a traitor.

Enrico went to the room and listened when the counselor spoke about the danger of sending him to that mission. The counselor was completely inclined to convince Don Bianchi that this was a delicate situation.

The Bianchi family was religious, however, the main businesses were focused on extortion networks, smuggling, illegal gambling and arms trafficking, so friendships with important people were essential to business.

The Bianchi were leaders admired and feared by everyone around them, from employees to neighborhood residents. To fame was given thanks to the strict codes of conduct of the Sicilian family, the main one of them was to brutally execute their enemies and traitors.

"May I ask why you’re speaking?" Enrico sat down on the sofa.

"Your uncle wants you to go after a traitor," the counselor said.

"He took the cash book and a flash drive with important documents". Don Bianchi fell heavily into the armchair.

"Do you know where he is?"

"I got a text message," the counselor said. "He'll take the book and the flash drive to the Gaspipe leader".

Enrico was excited to know that the traitor would meet the leader of the rival gang. This was the perfect opportunity to take revenge on the murderer of his parents.

"I'm going to find him and get the cash book back!" Enrico stood up.

"Kill the traitor!" Don Bianchi said to his nephew.

...

It was raining that night, the streets were deserted. Enrico hid in the shadows while following the traitor. He wanted to make sure there were no witnesses around him before he carried out his mission. Enrico grew up knowing that traitors were the worst kind of race and that they should be liquidated as soon as possible.

He waited for the accountant to come closer, patience is essential in this business. In a sudden movement, Enrico passed the rope around the man's neck who, instinctively, struggled to survive.

"You fucking traitor." He imposed all his strength tightening the rope more and more, the man searched frantically through the air without being able to free himself from his tormentor. "I'll teach you not to mess with my family".

Holding it between chin and head, he turned the traitor's neck to the opposite side and snapped his neck.

Enrico dumped the lifeless man’s body on the ground and spat on it, not satisfied, kicked the man’s body on the ground. He bent down and searched the jacket until he found the book and a flash drive.

"Hey, man!"

Enrico turned around after putting the recovered items in his backpack and saw two men coming towards him and then tried to run away, but one of them won the distance and grabbed him by the arm. Enrico elbowed the man in the chin, making him lose consciousness.

"Come on!" He showed teeth lined up in a white smile.

Enrico straightened his black glove and then cleaned the rainwater that was beginning to cloud his vision.

The long man took a knife from his waist and ran towards Enrico, he dodged the first blow, but the second hit his left arm. Grabbing his rival's head, he slammed his face against his knee and threw him to the ground, the knife falling wide.

Enrico was ready to execute him when he was surprised by a violent blow to his head. He felt his vision blurred and his body heavy, but he knew that if he fell there, it would be the end of him.

Gathering what little strength he had, he staggered to a low wall there and scrambled over.

On the other side, the dog growled fiercely when Enrico invaded the property. He ran away from the dog and stopped in the middle of the street.

The moment he arrived across the street, he walked slowly until his vision completely darkened, and he fell unconscious on the rain-soaked floor....

Flashes of moments from her childhood seemed clear in her memory. There was a beautiful smile on his mother's face when she woke him up in the morning to go to school. It had been a while since he dreamed of the tender and beautiful image.

The lids slowly opened and closed. Despite the blurred vision, he glimpsed the woman with wet hair; she had an appearance that reminded him of Enrico's mother.

"Mom!" Enrico whispered.

"Don't move," Livia ordered, "I'll help you!"

She ripped off the sleeve of her white blouse and wrapped it around the unknown man's bloodied arm.

"She is my savior”, Enrico thought before close his eyes.

...

Livia abruptly braked the car in front of the medical clinic, she was driving at high speed to help the man who remained unconscious in the back seat of the vehicle. It would be difficult to transport that tall man to one of the suture rooms. From the swelling that had formed on his head, he probably had a concussion.

After taking him out of the car, she dragged him to a stretcher with some difficulty and managed to take him to the room where she would find the necessary material to take care of those injuries. For a moment, she judged herself for being alone helping a man she didn't even know.

"The Hippocratic Oath!" Livia remembered her promise.  "I will fulfil according to my ability and judgment..."

She took a deep breath, took the scissors, then cut the sleeve of her patient’s blazer to examine the wound on her bloody arm.

"These fights never end well!" she muttered to as she cleaned the blood from the deep cut.

Livia began the suturing procedure after cleaning the wound and applying local anesthesia. She passed the fifth, and final, silk thread and then closed it before tying the knot. Examining the bruise on Enrico's forehead, he grumbled as she pressed her fingers over the lump.

...

The next morning, the sun's rays invaded the room while Livia was checking the dressings. She examined him calmly and smiled when he saw Enrico's eyes slowly opening.

"How do you feel?" She gave a smile.

When he finally regained consciousness, Enrico was surprised by the incredible similarity between that Livia and his late mother. The resemblance was so big that he was stupefied, he almost forgot why he was there.

When his eyes met Livia's black pupils, something special happened inside him, he couldn't stop looking at that woman. Enrico fell in love with Livia at first sight.

Livia retreated. The way the patient looked at her seemed to penetrate his soul. She needed to escape the seduction that emanated from that man’s beautiful blue eyes

"Do you have any relatives?”

"Why?”

"I want to inform your family that you are at the medical clinic?”

"No!" Enrico stood up quickly and felt the headache. There was a white band around his head. "Why did you bring me here?" Enrico frowned and pulled Livia’s arm.

Lívia's face turned pale, she hadn't expected the patient to be so aggressive after helping him.
