Samuel POV:
"Your highness, so is that an okay from yours and Prince Cameron's side for the new warrior trainer at the academy?" Said Justin, mine and Cameron's PA.
What was he even talking about? What were any of these people talking about, and for the love of the goddess, when will they shut up?
I was done for the day, waving my hand in dismissal; I went to get up when I heard someone squeak out,
"But your highness..." but before he could finish, I sent a death glare, making him shut his mouth tight. Judging by my mood, everyone quickly packed up and left.
I sat back in the high-back leather chair, looking at the roof and thinking back about the drama that had happened since yesterday.
Flashback
"Honey, maybe it's time for you and Cameron to take a chosen. Your wolves are strong and need a mate to help tame them. What happened in the Coliseum yesterday has the pack pretty shaken up." Said, mom.
Some fucker of mine and Cameron's warrior army thought it would be okay to go behind our backs and leak essential war strategies to the vampires in exchange for money. Thinking he wouldn't be caught, but as faith has it, the ones to catch him were Cameron and myself. He was out on the border, where the end of our territory line and no man's land starts. It's a small strip of maybe fifty acres of a dense forest, but everyone in the werewolf multiverse knows that the area is forbidden and cannot be passed on until proper scansion is given. The area houses rogues or lone wolves; however, until they are bothered, they remain to themselves and keep their presence as least known as possible.
That is also the exact area where me and my twin, Cameron, go from time to time to get away from our hectic lives and royal duties; there's a small stream close to the edge where it was said the moon goddess bathed and is blessed with magical properties. However, no one has ever yet to prove the fact. Therefore, it's considered a rumour rather than a fact. But somehow, whenever Cameron and I sit there, this peace envelopes us like it's calling to us.
It was the same as yesterday as well; Cameron and I were by the stream finalizing a warrior trainer for the academy when we felt a slight drop in temperature. Anyone else would have brushed it off, but we knew better than that. Having gone to war with the species over generations, Cameron and I were seasoned to pick up on their slightest presence: a vampire.
Or fists clenched, and our wolves howled in our heads, clawing to be let free and rip that undead parasite to shreds. But, we needed to be careful. Like wolves, they had enhanced senses. Not wanting to alert the creature of our presence, we pulled back our scents; being a pure-blood royal had its perks. Cameron and I had certain abilities; we were the first in over five hundred years of the royal line to show these abilities again. The last person to have them was our great-grandfather.
We walked towards the decaying scent of the parasite, staying hidden between the long shrubs. However, as we got close, there was another scent: a wolf, and by the smell, we could tell that wolf was not a rogue or lone but part of the royal pack. Every wolf from a pack had a distinctive smell, helping identify them from one another; the royal pack members had a hint of grass in their scent.
"Are you sure you weren't followed?" Said a hoarse voice.
"Positive! I told everyone I was off to bed, but I don't have much time. Do you have what we agreed on?" said a voice we would know anywhere: Jackel.
Jackel was second in charge after the head warrior of the royal army and keeper of all battle strategies.
"Yes. five hundred gold bars for the twins' war strategies for the north." Said that parasite.
That fucker!
He was selling off our secrets to the enemy.
What hadn't we done for this piece of shit? He used to be a rogue. We took him in, took care of him and trained him to be the best that he is, and he dared to go behind our backs for a mere five hundred gold bars.
That fucker was dead!
Unable to control myself anymore, I pounced out from behind the shrubs and lunged for that bastard, catching him by the neck. Cameron wasn't far behind and shifted into his giant jet-black wolf, lunging for that vampire parasite's neck as well. Not sensing our presence fast enough, that fucker was too slow, and Cameron bit down his neck, jerking his muzzle with the parasite's neck between his razor-sharp teeth. He ripped off his head completely, blood spraying everywhere and on his fur. Spitting that fuckers head out of his mouth like the trash he was, Cameron shifted and came to stand next to me as we towered over that fucker, Jackel.
"Your highnesses have mercy, I was black..." before he could even finish his sentence, I punched him out cold, and he fell to the floor.
I was seething from inside; I knew Cameron was too. Words didn't need to be exchanged for what our next step of action would be. We already knew being identical twins was like being one alpha in two bodies; we were always in sync when we needed to act.
We didn't have space in our ranks for assholes like this Jackel, we needed to make sure everyone understood what it meant yo double cross us, what the consequences would be.
I heard Cameron send out a pack mind link in my head asking everyone to come to the Coliseum in fifteen minutes. Everyone knew we were easily agitated nowadays; everyone walked on pins and needles around us, making sure not to get us mad.
As predicted, it was packed when we reached the centre of the Coliseum with that fucker being dragged by me on the ground. I could even see mom, dad and Alana, our baby sister, in the royal box as well. Dropping the fucker's unconscious body in the centre, Cameron and I looked up to our surroundings, and he then boomed in his alpha voice.
Cameron POV:The night air was alive with a magical pulse as I guided Lyla, her eyes covered by a soft blindfold, through the serenely lit path of our palace garden. Her hand, delicate yet trusting, was clasped in mine, while Samuel walked beside us, his presence a comforting shadow in the moonlit night."We're nearly there, my heart," I whispered to Lyla.Feeling her anticipation mingling with ours. The path under our feet shifted from the crunch of gravel to the softness of lush grass, signaling our arrival at the heart of our surprise."Can I look now?"Lyla's voice quivered with excitement, her other hand reaching out, perhaps feeling the change in the atmosphere, the music that floated around us like a tender caress."Just a moment longer," I replied. My heart pounding with a mixture of nerves and excitement. Samuel and I had planned this moment with painstaking care, wanting everything to be perfect for her. Guiding her to the center of the clearing, where the gazebo stood adorn
Cameron POV:It had been five months since the harrowing events in Vampriya, and life had settled into a new rhythm, one filled with love, passion, and the promise of a future we never thought possible.Every day with Lyla felt like a revelation. Our relationship had flourished beyond the raw intensity of those first encounters. Sure, we had our share of wild, erotic nights – moments where our passion for each other burned with an intensity that threatened to consume us. But there were also the playful mornings, the times when we basked in each other's company, reveling in the simple joy of being together.Lyla had grown remarkably in these past months, both in spirit and in her role as our future queen. She had decided to finish her schooling, opting for private lessons within the castle's grand walls. Her decision came from a desire to be close to us, to cement our bond and strengthen our union. And I couldn’t have been more proud of her. She was not just our mate but a true partner
Lyla POV:As the witch's blade hovered perilously close, a surreal calm washed over me. My heart pounded in my chest, my eyes fixated on Cameron and Samuel, their expressions a tapestry of worry and love. I silently mouthed, "I love you," expecting the sharp sting of betrayal. But instead, a shocking warmth enveloped me – blood, not mine, splashing against my skin.Confusion reigned as I saw Vincent standing defiantly, the witch's heart gruesomely clasped in his hand. He nonchalantly tossed it aside, his eyes locking with mine in a knowing wink. The ritual was broken, the air charged with a mix of disbelief and newfound hope.Noah's enraged voice shattered the moment."Vincent, you traitor!" he screamed, lunging at his brother with a viciousness that chilled my bones. The brothers collided with a force that resonated through the clearing. Their fight was a deadly dance of pent-up rage and familial betrayal. Vincent's every move was precise and calculated, countering Noah's blind fury
Lyla POV:Vincent's laughter echoed through the room, a sound filled with sinister undertones."Oh, brother, why do you insist on these little charades? Just be honest with her. There's no coronation. Instead, we have a lovely lineup of witches eager to drain every ounce of that precious eternal wolf essence from her," he said, his eyes flashing dangerously.Noah's face remained impassive, but there was a flicker of annoyance in his eyes."Vincent, I've got this under control," he said coolly.I glanced between the two brothers, my heart pounding in my chest. They were planning to kill me, to use me for my power. A surge of anger and determination rose within me. I wouldn't let them. Without warning, I shifted into my wolf form, the transformation enveloping me in a wave of power and strength. My grey fur, streaked with lavender, bristled with energy, and my lavender eyes blazed with defiance.Noah's expression turned to one of shock, then quickly morphed into rage."You think you can
Lyla POV:The air crackled with the intensity of magic, the night sky over Vampriya painted with the hues of battle. Our position at the vantage point offered a panoramic view of the chaos unfolding below. Alana, my brothers, the coven witches, and I were like sentinels, guarding against the tide of darkness that threatened to engulf us.The sounds of battle were deafening - the clashing of power, the hissing of spells, and the cries of the fallen filled the air. We stood our ground, our magic a beacon of light amidst the encroaching darkness. Each of us fought fiercely, our spells weaving intricate patterns of defense and attack.I could feel the raw energy coursing through me, the power of my eternal wolf stirring within, ready to leap into action. The witches beside me chanted their incantations, their voices rising and falling in a rhythmic cadence that was both haunting and beautiful. Their magic clashed with the dark witches, creating a storm of energy that crackled through the
Samuel POV:Stepping through the dense forest that borders Vampriya, the charged air crackles with tension. Cameron and I tread softly, our senses heightened. The dim moonlight filters through the trees, casting eerie shadows that dance on the forest floor."We need to be smart about this," I whisper to Cameron as we move closer to the outskirts of Vampriya. "No rash moves. We hit them hard and fast, but with precision."Cameron nods, his eyes scanning the darkness."Agreed. The element of surprise is on our side. Let's keep it that way."We huddle with our group of warriors, their faces a mix of determination and nerves. I can feel their energy, pulsing like a heartbeat in the night."Remember, our main goal is to distract and divide their forces," I instruct, my voice low but firm. "We need to create an opening for the main assault team to breach their defenses."One of the warriors, a burly man with a scar across his cheek, steps forward."We won't let you down, your highnesses. We
Lyla POV:As the dawn broke, casting a golden glow over the palace, I stood on the balcony, absorbing the quiet before the storm. Today was the day we would confront Noah, the day we had been preparing for. Anxiety bubbled inside me, but it was tempered by the resolve that came from the love and support of my mates, Cameron and Samuel.Cameron's arms encircled me from behind, his warmth a comforting presence."You ready for this, my love?" he asked, his breath tickling my ear.I leaned into him, feeling the solid strength of his body."As ready as I'll ever be," I replied, trying to sound more confident than I felt.Samuel joined us, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and determination."We're in this together," he reassured, taking my hand. "Always."Their reassurance fortified me. We were a team, unbreakable in our unity. I turned to face them, taking a moment to appreciate the bond we shared, strengthened in the face of adversity. We headed to the war room where Alana, my br
Lyla POV:The quiet of the early morning was a stark contrast to the whirlwind of emotions that had engulfed me the previous night. Sitting by the window, I watched the first light of dawn filter through the leaves, casting dancing shadows on the floor. The warmth of the sun seemed to reach deep within, soothing the turmoil of my thoughts.I was still wrapped in the blanket Cameron and Samuel had tucked me in with, their scent lingering on the fabric, offering a silent comfort. The memories of last night, the intense kisses, the affirmations of love, and the heartfelt conversation with my brothers, all swirled in my head, a mix of joy and poignancy.Lost in thought, I didn’t hear the door open. It was Alana, her bright smile instantly lifting my mood.“Hey there, babe,” she greeted cheerfully. “You seem deep in thought. Everything okay?”I returned her smile“Just reflecting on everything. It's been... overwhelming,” I admitted.Alana sat beside me.“It’s a lot to take in. But you’re
Lyla POV:I woke up to the first light of dawn filtering through the curtains, casting a soft glow across the grand room. Memories of the night before, entwined with Cameron and Samuel, flooded my mind, sending a warm flush through me. The intensity, the love, the unspoken promises we shared – it all felt like a beautiful dream. But as I stretched languidly, the other side of the bed was cold, empty. A twinge of disappointment nudged at me. Where could they be so early in the morning?Just then, the door opened, and both Cameron and Samuel walked in, their presence filling the room with an electrifying energy. My heart skipped a beat as they approached the bed, each wearing an expression that was a mix of tenderness and something more serious, more intense.Cameron leaned in first, his lips meeting mine in a kiss that was both gentle and demanding. The familiar scent of cedarwood and pine engulfed me, grounding me in the moment. His kiss was a reminder of the passion we shared, a prom
