LOGINAs a student at an elite academy for supernaturals, I’ve always thought I had my life figured out. My 18th birthday is just around the corner, a milestone that could change everything. For as long as I can remember, I've been betrothed to my childhood crush, who also happens to be my brothers' best friend. It seemed like my future was set in stone—until everything shifted. I never expected to find myself drawn to my warrior trainers, Cameron and Samuel. They're not just any trainers; they're the alpha princes of the werewolf race. The bond between us is growing stronger every day, and it’s tearing me apart. My brothers have warned me about the power and allure of dominant wolves, but they never could have guessed that the real threat would come from my own teachers. Now, I’m caught between my betrothal and these forbidden feelings, not to mention the strict rules of our supernatural world. Things get even more complicated when a sudden attack rocks the academy. I'm forced to make life-altering decisions that go beyond just my heart; the safety of everyone I love hangs in the balance. With destiny, love, and danger at every corner, I must decide whether to follow my heart or stay true to my obligations.
View MoreI have always known that I was hated. I have always known that I was unloved. Unwanted.
But this— This was something else entirely. I stood there, hands clenched at my side as my father, mother, and sister looked at me like I was trash. Like I was nothing. Like they weren't talking about my life like it meant nothing. “You should be grateful to us." My father's voice said, bringing me out of my thoughts. Grateful? I couldn't help but scoff as my eyes met his. “Why? Why do you hate me so much?" I whispered, my chest squeezing in pain. “Oh please, stop with the drama, take a look at yourself, would you love you if you were you?" My sister Rosella asked and my mother chuckled like it was funny. “You're sending me to die and you're laughing about it?" I asked, my chest boiling in anger. "We're giving you redemption from your pathetic life, you've done nothing but disgrace us as a family. We're only doing what's best for our family.” My mother finally said, looking at me with disdain. She didn't need to say it directly but I knew I wasn't part of that family. “What about me? What's best for me?" I asked and my father took a threatening step towards me. “You ungrateful child, you should be happy we kept you alive, what gives you the right to think you can question us?!" My father boomed in anger and that made something in me snap. “I am your daughter! I am your daughter, and you've done nothing but hate me for twenty two years, what have I ever done to you?!" I yelled in anger and I didn't see it coming when his hand landed on my face with a hard slap. “How dare you?! How dare you raise your voice at me?!” My eyes burned, my mouth wobbled but I refused to let the tears fall. I wasn't going to give them that satisfaction. “Have you looked at yourself in the mirror? Do you know how disgusting and ugly you look?” He sneered and all I did was stand there and take his insult. "And you had to fucking come through my bloodline, do you know how embarrassing that is?! And as if that wasn't enough humiliation, you don't have a fucking wolf!” My heart squeezed. My eyes burned harder but I'd rather die than let the tears fall. "Father, father,” my sister said in her overly sweet voice she used in fooling everyone. "Don't let her upset you, she's not worth it," she said as she held his hand and he sighed looking at her like the moon and stars revolved around her. A look he'd never give me. Ever. “If only you were like your sister. Rosella is making us proud. She's not only beautiful, she's strong and talented, unlike you.” My father said as he turned from Rosella, the look of pride he earlier had for her vanishing to disgust immediately his eyes landed on me. "You will be sent to the King's palace with the other omegas and there's nothing you're going to do about it.” “You know what Emilia, you should be happy. You get to die in the King's bed. That's if he doesn't kill you on the spot because there's no way the Alpha king would want to touch a pathetic loser like you.” “You all are going to regret this." I said as I clenched my hands tightly, drawing blood. “What are you going to do? Crawl from the grave and haunt us?” Rosella asked and they all burst out laughing. To think that this was my family. They never really loved me. My father said I was a disgrace to his family. I didn't have a wolf and I wasn't as pretty as Rosella. So as punishment, he made me an omega. Imagine the daughter of an alpha being demoted to an omega. I became invisible. Treated like trash in my own pack. Called all manner of names. ‘Fat.’ ‘Ugly pig.’ ‘Pathetic loser.’ At some point I began to believe them. “I won't die." I suddenly said out of nowhere and they stopped laughing and all turned to me. “I will survive." I said with determination but my sister snickered. “Oh please, haven't you heard? No woman leaves his bed alive.” And yet they were offering me to him. "But I will survive.” I said again, determination wrapping around my chest like a chain. "You're delulu,” my sister said with a shake of her head. “You all will regret what you've done to me. I'll make you pay. I promise." "Stop with the drama and go pack whatever garbage you have, you're leaving tonight with the others.” My mother said, like it was the most natural thing to say. Rosella smirked as she looked me dead in the eye. “You'll die Emilia, you'll die."Cameron POV:The night air was alive with a magical pulse as I guided Lyla, her eyes covered by a soft blindfold, through the serenely lit path of our palace garden. Her hand, delicate yet trusting, was clasped in mine, while Samuel walked beside us, his presence a comforting shadow in the moonlit night."We're nearly there, my heart," I whispered to Lyla.Feeling her anticipation mingling with ours. The path under our feet shifted from the crunch of gravel to the softness of lush grass, signaling our arrival at the heart of our surprise."Can I look now?"Lyla's voice quivered with excitement, her other hand reaching out, perhaps feeling the change in the atmosphere, the music that floated around us like a tender caress."Just a moment longer," I replied. My heart pounding with a mixture of nerves and excitement. Samuel and I had planned this moment with painstaking care, wanting everything to be perfect for her. Guiding her to the center of the clearing, where the gazebo stood adorn
Cameron POV:It had been five months since the harrowing events in Vampriya, and life had settled into a new rhythm, one filled with love, passion, and the promise of a future we never thought possible.Every day with Lyla felt like a revelation. Our relationship had flourished beyond the raw intensity of those first encounters. Sure, we had our share of wild, erotic nights – moments where our passion for each other burned with an intensity that threatened to consume us. But there were also the playful mornings, the times when we basked in each other's company, reveling in the simple joy of being together.Lyla had grown remarkably in these past months, both in spirit and in her role as our future queen. She had decided to finish her schooling, opting for private lessons within the castle's grand walls. Her decision came from a desire to be close to us, to cement our bond and strengthen our union. And I couldn’t have been more proud of her. She was not just our mate but a true partner
Lyla POV:As the witch's blade hovered perilously close, a surreal calm washed over me. My heart pounded in my chest, my eyes fixated on Cameron and Samuel, their expressions a tapestry of worry and love. I silently mouthed, "I love you," expecting the sharp sting of betrayal. But instead, a shocking warmth enveloped me – blood, not mine, splashing against my skin.Confusion reigned as I saw Vincent standing defiantly, the witch's heart gruesomely clasped in his hand. He nonchalantly tossed it aside, his eyes locking with mine in a knowing wink. The ritual was broken, the air charged with a mix of disbelief and newfound hope.Noah's enraged voice shattered the moment."Vincent, you traitor!" he screamed, lunging at his brother with a viciousness that chilled my bones. The brothers collided with a force that resonated through the clearing. Their fight was a deadly dance of pent-up rage and familial betrayal. Vincent's every move was precise and calculated, countering Noah's blind fury
Lyla POV:Vincent's laughter echoed through the room, a sound filled with sinister undertones."Oh, brother, why do you insist on these little charades? Just be honest with her. There's no coronation. Instead, we have a lovely lineup of witches eager to drain every ounce of that precious eternal wolf essence from her," he said, his eyes flashing dangerously.Noah's face remained impassive, but there was a flicker of annoyance in his eyes."Vincent, I've got this under control," he said coolly.I glanced between the two brothers, my heart pounding in my chest. They were planning to kill me, to use me for my power. A surge of anger and determination rose within me. I wouldn't let them. Without warning, I shifted into my wolf form, the transformation enveloping me in a wave of power and strength. My grey fur, streaked with lavender, bristled with energy, and my lavender eyes blazed with defiance.Noah's expression turned to one of shock, then quickly morphed into rage."You think you can
