Chapter Twenty-nine

Marvin is about to sigh when he realizes his wolf was not affected at all and pauses. He had felt the loss of his previous mate the moment he lost her even before finding out she was gone but his wolf was surprisingly unaffected this time.

Getting rejected probably wouldn't be as painful as the death of a mate but at least he ought to feel something.

"Damn!", he suddenly hears Gabriella say followed by a long groan and his eyes light up in worry. "I don't want him! I don't want him! Just take him away already!", she screams and he smirks realizing his speculation was right.

"I guess the moon goddess wants us to be together by all means," he shrugs and she screams again. "Calm down, Gabriella! People are beginning to stare at us."

"What do I care?", she retorts and begins storming out of the restaurant.

Marvin immediately stands to his feet and drops some cash on the table then hurries after her.
