CH20 - Kai's POV

Almost a week has gone by and Cedric still hasn’t returned. Dereck snuck in a couple more times since then, but we haven’t exactly had alone time, so nothing more has happened between us outside of a few kisses. Not that I am in any rush to sleep with anyone.

The only issue is that I’m still stuck in this stupid room until he gets back. The cage might be gilded, but it is a cage all the same. I just wish I could have a small amount of freedom, but I guess that won’t happen. I might be stuck in this room forever.

That’s not a situation I want to be in. Ever.

As I fall back onto the bed and wait for lunchtime, I can’t help but wonder if I shouldn’t try to barge past the omegas if they bring my food this time. Or if I shouldn’t get Dereck to help me fight off the guard and we both try to make a break for it.

Something has to change. I just need to figure out the best option to bring about that change. One where Dereck and I will not get ripped to shreds.
