Why! Every single time! This isn’t fair!Not only do I keep failing to win against this man, but with every touch, every kiss, my body decides it likes it and now is no different! The way Kai squirms against me drives me insane. I’m barely holding myself together at this point. Every ounce of my body is screaming to claim this man as my mate, but my heart knows not to force this. It pissed me off at first when he started laughing, but the moment he called me ‘fucking cute’, I could feel my face flushing hotly. I was so glad to know Kai wasn’t harmed and that the alpha of this pack seemed more interested in merely belittling him with a change of title. However, I knew it couldn’t last long and that I needed to find a way for Kai and me to escape or take over.I wasn’t too sure taking over would ever be an option for us. When I was disturbed this morning, I wasn’t happy. This wasn’t as dire as I expected, but I still had to handle it. The scouts hadn’t seen the pack we handled the other day, but someone else had trespassed.Thankfully, my scouts had already captured them, so all I needed to do was head back to the prison and find out what it was they were doing on our land. With luck, this is just a rogue that found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.As I head towards the packhouse, I spot Kai looking out the window. I wonder what has been keeping Cedric away for so long. After he came back this way, I was sure he would have come back up to annoy me. Yet there’s no sign of him at all.
