CH28 - Cedric's POV

When I was disturbed this morning, I wasn’t happy. This wasn’t as dire as I expected, but I still had to handle it. The scouts hadn’t seen the pack we handled the other day, but someone else had trespassed.

Thankfully, my scouts had already captured them, so all I needed to do was head back to the prison and find out what it was they were doing on our land. With luck, this is just a rogue that found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As I head towards the packhouse, I spot Kai looking out the window. He spots me and shoots a harsh glare, but otherwise, he doesn’t say or do anything to insult me.

I flash him a charming grin and continue onwards towards the prisons. I don’t like to make use of them, but until I know who this person is and what they want, I can’t let them go.

Part of me wishes I could spend all my day with Kai instead, but my alpha duties must come first. With a heavy sigh, I enter the prison
