Although I kept my composure, Cedric’s question left me a little dumbfounded. Was he serious? Three alphas had ever ruled in the history of our packs, or any pack before us. Not even mentioning the fact that we would all share the mark of bonding between us.

I wouldn’t just be a lover, limited in my affections. I could love Kai just as equally as Cedric could. The downside, if one could call it that; was that I had to take Cedric as my mate, too. Was I ready for that? Could I love him as I loved Kai?

“I accept.” The words left my mouth before I had even finished contemplating those thoughts.

Even though it was going to be strange, I didn’t see any reason to reject Cedric. We had already shared a night with Kai, and he wasn’t asking me to submit to his will. Instead, he was asking for our relationship to be mostly unchanged. It would promote me to the third alpha in our pack.
