Chapter Five

"No Jeannette, you haven't been bad." Devon said smiling. "You've been very good, we're very happy with you."

"Master, you're going, as are Mistress Rebecca and Master Thomas?"

"Yes, we're going. We'll meet another Master before long, Master Andre." Devon said.

"Am I allowed to stay here?" Jeannette asked in a tight thin voice.

"Yes, you may stay here. If you leave, you'll never again be allowed back to the farms. If something goes wrong, you're stuck out there." Devon said laying out the ground rules.

Jeannette sagged slightly. She was obviously thinking. She looked up at Master Devon, but got no guidance on what she should say, nor any from Mistress Rebecca or Master Thomas. She thought about what she liked, and loved. She loved Devon. He had saved her life, she knew that. She had seen him do that. Master Devon had saved her life, and allowed her to serve. If Master Devon left, she'd miss him terribly, and sooner or later someone would decide she'd served enough.

If Master Devon left, and never came back, Jeannette wouldn't be able to serve him, to thank him for saving her life. For allowing her to serve. It would be safer here, no decisions, no outside, no clothes, no independence. It would be bad here, No Master Devon.

She looked up. "Master has given me a choice, and I choose to follow you master."

Devon nodded. "I understand. Thank you Jeannette. Please go back downstairs and speak of this to no one."

"Yes Master, thank you Master." Jeannette said and gracefully stood and glided to the door and through it.

Dominique waited until Jeannette was out of the room before asking. "What do you understand?"

"She knows I spared her life when others wanted her dead. I've never told her so, never said anything about it. She knows anyway. She also knows she's happier with me, than with anyone else. She loves me to a certain extent, and loves this life, the life of a slave. She's choosing to follow me, and the uncertain future out there, instead of the safer path of staying here." Devon explained.

Everyone was silent for a moment, digesting these words; Dominique was again struck by the fact that Devon understood his slaves, what motivated them, and what they were thinking.

"Brian's not a trainer, he's a medical student who flunked out. I'll need a medical person, but one who can be licensed as a nurse, or a paramedic. Brian can't train, Thomas can and is good at it. Carla is almost as good as Rebecca at Ballet, so this farm's grace and poise shouldn't suffer. Rebecca is the best at ballet I've seen, and that's the poise and grace that our clients will want." Devon explained.

"So where are you going to find a suitable medical person?"

Devon shook his head. "I don't know, a contract with a local doctor wherever we set up probably. I'd like one on site, but that may be a pipe dream."

Dominique said. "I don't know Devon, all you have to do is find a Paramedic, or a Nurse who likes to be tied up and spanked, and you're home free."

Devon smiled. "You know, that's a good idea. I think I'll do that."

Dominique laughed and said. "Jeannette. The group says they changed her information in the law enforcement computers. Robert's checking on that, and we'll have confirmation on it before you depart. Assume a week on the identities, and we'll be ready then. I'm leaving to meet with our..." Dominique shrugged and said. "I presume we call them stockholders now. I'll be meeting with them in three days."

Devon nodded. Rebecca and Thomas came in and sat down. Devon handed them the project information and they scanned through it as he spoke. When he was done, he invited them to join him.

If you were estimating, Rebecca would appear to be about thirty. Rebecca's hair was light brown, with only a hint of rust coloring to it. Her fair skin and medium sized breasts made her look softer than she really was. Unless she was in mode as a strict trainer. Then her hair looked like a halo of energy surrounding her head. She crackled with pure energy when she was punishing a trainee for not trying hard enough. Her mannerism was dismissive at times, or condescending at others. She listened to the proposal, and glanced through the briefing documents once and then went silent.

Rebecca turned and looked out of the window towards the afternoon sun and looked at it for a few minutes. "I haven't been away from a farm for more than a few days in almost ten years Devon. Not since I looked up and saw you unlocking the ball gag in my mouth." Turning back to Devon. "I'm in Devon."

Thomas was looking at the table and said. "If we leave, we're out for good right? Any trouble, and we're on our own."

"One set of escape documents, that will expire in about four years." Robert said. "After that, you're truly on your own. The escape set won't get you to us, so don't look for us."
