Clara's POV

When Brown arrived before the entrance of Edwin's new Hotel, he slowed down his car and parked it along the way.

"Thank you for the ride," I told him as I unfastened my seat belt to get out of his car.

"Alright, Clara. Take care," Brown replied while I got out of his car, and waved goodbye at him.

I went into the hotel in search of Edwin. The night had fallen, and I still had to see my son.

However, as I met with the receptionist and asked for Edwin, "Hello, I am here to see Edwin?"

The female receptionist looked at me and asked, "Do you have an appointment with him?"

"No. He is like a friend to me," I said with a smile.

"Then give him a call," the receptionist replied, not seeming interested in calling Edwin.

I knew that I had Edwin's number, but even as he was best friends with Jace, I hardly gave him a call.

With determination, I phoned Edwin's number.

"Hey, Clara. What's up? I wasn't expecting your call. I just went back to my suite. Any problem?" Edwin asked me at onc
