(Jace's POV)

I knew that Celine was tense when she saw me draw near her. But I couldn't help but desire to kiss her mouth. The thought came to me like a ticking bomb to go close to her and kiss her.

I was supposed to be avoiding her, but seeing her often, I couldn't help but desire to be this close to her.

I want to kiss her. Do those crazy romantic stuff with her.

I recalled at the drive down to the local community. Mandy had asked me if I checked her wedding gift to me. And I felt so guilty that I haven't even pulled the wrap to unlock it.

I had to tell her that I kept it safely in my bedroom because if I had told Mandy the truth that I just kept it without checking it, she would have become sad and might have developed another suicidal thought that I do not care about her.

Since she knows that I cannot love her beyond seeing her as my sister.

"What's the thing that you want to give me?" Celine asked, as she stood up from her chair and walked up to meet me.
