Nicole:

The next day, I logged in to my mail and noticed there was mail from the hospital that I had been working for before the incident of the kidnap.

“Job offer…” that was the title, and seeing the mail made me excited. I recalled them telling me about wanting me to be a doctor, but they still had to send me an official letter, and it finally arrived.

“Yes! Yes!” I breathed happily, dancing to no music. As I did, the door opened, causing me to turn my head towards the direction of the creaking sound. That was when I saw Aston. He looked puzzled, maybe seeing me dance like that gave him a scare.

His facial expression was filled with creased lines, his brows were kneaded together, and his gaze showed extreme worry.

“Hmm, I'm guessing there's some kind of news?” He expressed, and I nodded, jumping up as I happily swam into his hands. He had no idea how excited I was, but I was happy that he could sense it.

“Okay, I see someone's excitement. What's going on, tell me… I'm dying to

Nicole:I slowly opened my eyes, slowly taking in my surroundings. I was in a hospital room, surrounded by sterile white walls and dripping in my arm. The lights above seemed too bright, and I squinted, trying to adjust to the harsh glare. I didn't even know what else to say, all I knew was that something wasn't right. The last thing I recalled was trying to wrap my head around the case, and then I felt really dizzy.‘What could have happened?’As I tried to piece together what had happened, I saw him walk in, looking really worried. Aston. My heart swelled with concern, seeing the lines of worry etched on his face. He approached me, his eyes filled with relief and apology. I could see the tension in his shoulders, the way his jaw was clenched in concern. But before he could say anything, I knew what I had to tell him. "We were set up," he started to say, but I cut him off. "You were, but she wasn't set up," I said firmly. "She picked up your call and had a scheming tone."Aston's ey

Aston:I paced back and forth in the hospital waiting room, my mind racing with worst-case scenarios. The nurses had rushed Nicole away, leaving me to wait anxiously for news. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was seriously wrong. As I walked, my thoughts turned to the possibilities. Was she poisoned? Had someone intentionally harmed her? I bit my finger, trying to process the chaos that seemed to be unfolding. I thought about all the potential culprits, all the people who might want to hurt her.“No, no bad thoughts. Just calm and try to process everything slowly so you can't rush it…” I thought back to our conversation before I left to confront Belle. Had Nicole mentioned anything that could have led to this? Was there something I was missing? I replayed our words in my head, searching for any clues. But there was nothing. Just the usual conversation, the usual banter. She just left the room in pain, and I got overly worried. The questions swirled in my head, making it h

Aston:I couldn't shake off the feelings of guilt and pain that had been gnawing at me. Something wasn't adding up, and I needed answers. I decided to confront Bella about it. I called her and asked to meet at her place. When I arrived, I was relieved to find her alone."Bella, I need to ask you something," I said, my voice firm. "What did you put in that drink?" I asked directly, my eyes locked on hers. I was trying to read her reaction, to see if she would crack under the pressure.Bella's expression didn't change, but she shook her head. "I don't know what you're talking about, Aston. You must have been really tired," she said, her voice calm. Her response was too casual, too nonchalant. I studied her face, trying to read between the lines. Was she telling the truth, or was she hiding something from me?I took a step closer to her, my eyes never leaving hers. "Don't play dumb with me, Bella," I said, my voice low. "I know something's going on. And I'm going to find out what it is."

Belle's povI sat with Samantha, sipping my wine and basking in the glow of our success. "We got Aston right where we want him," I said, my voice filled with satisfaction. Samantha nodded in agreement, and we clink our glasses together in a toast. The plan had been months in the making, and it was working perfectly. We had manipulated Aston, using his trust in me to our advantage. And now, with Nicole doubting him, we were one step closer to achieving our goal. I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. We had played the game perfectly, using every pawn to our advantage.Samantha's eyes glowed with calculation as she spoke. "We needed him to be vulnerable, to be in a position where he wouldn't be able to think clearly." I nodded, remembering the way Aston had confided in me, the way he had trusted me with his deepest secrets. It had all been a ruse, a way to get close to him and manipulate him.As I looked at Samantha, I felt a sense of happiness. We had worked toget

Aston:I tried to piece together the events of the previous night, but my memories were hazy, like fragments of a broken puzzle. I recalled taking a glass of water, feeling dizzy, and then...Belle. She had tried to help me, but I had pushed her away, trying to fight her off. “Let me go! Don't touch me, I have a wife…” I vividly remembered telling her to leave me alone, but my body had betrayed me, refusing to cooperate. My limbs had felt heavy, my senses dulled, and my mind foggy.“What did you do to–” I expressed before I blacked out, I had a faint recollection of Belle's face, her smile, and her words. But everything after that was a blur, a complete void in my memory. What had happened? Had I...? The thought sent a shiver down my spine, and I felt a wave of nausea wash over me. Had I done something I would regret? Something that would hurt Nicole even more?My mind was racing with questions, but the more I thought about it, the more my head spun. I felt like I was trapped in a ni

Nicole:My mom's eyes narrowed slightly as she studied me, her expression soft but probing. "What's wrong, sweetie?" she asked, her voice gentle but insistent. I tried to wave it off, not wanting to burden her with my problems. But she pressed on, her tone encouraging me to open up.I sighed, feeling a lump form in my throat as I struggled to hold back tears. "It's Aston," I said finally, my voice barely above a whisper. I told her about his father being in the hospital and the argument with his mother. But the real pain came when I shared about the mysterious message I received, the one that had left me reeling. My mom's expression turned concerned as I recounted the story, her eyes filled with empathy. "I tried reaching out to him," I continued, "but Belle took the call." Just saying her name out loud felt like a betrayal, and I felt a pang of hurt all over again. "She said he was busy with her," I added, my voice cracking. My mom's face softened, and she pulled me into a warm hug.
