Hello, everyone! I hope we've been enjoying the book thus far! Please comment your thoughts, I would love to hear all of them
Elle didn't give me a break, even Manuel had to explain that I wasn't a model but here for a friend. She didn't mind, saying that it was for a commercial for pregnant women and babies. Since I had a good bone structure, as she put it, and I was pregnant, it didn't matter if I was a model or not. I wanted to turn it down but she seemed really desperate and on the verge of tears so I agreed. Before I could blink, her team took me over to their side of the arena, helping me out of my clothes and dealing with my makeup and hair. Once they were done, I could hardly recognize myself. It wasn't a bold makeup but it did enough to highlight my face. I couldn't remember the last time I dressed up like this, it had been so long. "You're absolutely stunning, darling," Elle said behind me and I smiled. They had dressed me in dark blue baggy jeans and a plain white crop top , showing off the roundness of my belly.I didn't know what they sprayed on it but it gave my stomach a golden bronze s
I woke up the next morning, feeling a pleasant tingling between my legs. I hadn't felt this well rested in a while and for a moment, I wondered what caused this until it hit me. I shot up with a gasp, looking around at the familiar room. I was still at Gio's penthouse, lying on his bed in his bedroom. Fuck! We had sex last night, it was a memorable one but I didn't feel proud of it. I looked at my side and it was empty. I guess he must've shared the same sentiment. With a sigh, I climbed down from the bed and shrugged on a robe, picking up my clothes that were strewn all over the room. Did he really hate me that much? He took off before I could even wake up? I felt nothing but burning disgust for myself, couldn't I have kept my legs close? I stopped in front of the kitchen counter staring at the bright yellow sticky note. With a sigh, I plucked it off the counter and read the messy writing on it. 'You have the entire house to yourself. I made food too, you can ring the butler
GIOVANNI'S POVA tune was under my breath as I moved around the kitchen, arranging the pasta on the plate with a proud smile. A part of me was unsure if I would be able to pull the Bolognese sauce but I did and it smelled incredible. I placed the plate on the counter in front of her and nodded. "Bon appetit." I watched as she eyed the plate with an unsure expression. She picked up the fork and my breath froze in my throat as she lifted it to her mouth and chewed. She made a small noise and then it turned into a moan, her eyes rolling and a chuckle slipped from my mouth. "That good?" She bobbed her head but didn't say a word, rushing through the plate and I laughed at her reaction, "slow down or you'll have an indigestion." She shook her head, "this is really good," she moaned under her breath, kicking her legs with excitement. "I didn't know you could cook this well." I shrugged, leaning over the counter. "I have quite the experience. After all, I own a chain of restaurants."
Later in the day, I was discharged by the doctors who assured me that I was better now. I just needed to rest and eat better. My coworkers had left a few minutes ago after telling me that I had the week off. Michelle, on the other hand, was preparing to take me home. "I was thinking about pizza for dinner," Michelle said with a laugh and I hummed playfully. "There's this new place I found online and the reviews are good."I groaned, "what about Chinese? I would kill for some chow mein right now-"The door pulled open and Giovanni walked inside, the room instantly falling quiet. Michelle watched him narrowed eyes while my breath had frozen. "The doctor said you can leave," he stated simply, staring at me dead in the eye. "You're coming with me, I don't trust you'll stay out of trouble on your own."Michell scoffed, walking towards him. "Excuse you, she's not alone. She's with me."He turned to her, "and where were you when she was harming herself and the baby?"Michelle opened and cl
I could hear the beeping sound of a monitor and sniffling. My eyelids flickered, an exhausted groan slipping from my mouth. When my eyes finally opened, I was met with the bright blinding lights from the ceiling overhead. Michelle gasped, leaning over my face."She's awake! Oh my gosh!" She rushed over to the door, yelling. "Doctor! Is anyone there!?" The sound of rapid footsteps followed and I could faintly hear the Doctor's calming voice asking me questions. "Miss Munroe, can you hear me?" I nodded, "yes," came out as a feeble whisper. The nurses checked my vitals and they murmured between each other. Michelle stood behind them, her fingers nervously working together. "Will she be okay? What about the baby?" The doctor turned to face her with a smile. "You don't have to worry, both the mother and child are safe." Michelle sighed in relief and I did too, an exhale leaving mouth. My hand shakily found my bump and a whimper left me when I felt it, warm and still there. The docto
I groaned in frustration, pulling off the t-shirt and shrugging on another one. It was Dad's so it looked slightly bigger on me and I loved it. My room was a mess, I'd run out of clothes to wear so I had to raid Dad's closet to find something more appropriate My baby bump was becoming more obvious now and I couldn't wear a hoodie in this suffocating heat. My t-shirts weren't cutting it anymore and Michelle refused to lend me any of her own.In her own words, she wouldn't take part in the hoax I was playing. I'd tried to explain it to her a dozen times but she wouldn't listen. Three months had rapidly gone by, I was slowly accepting my fate of becoming a single mother although it hadn't been easy. I was enjoying every phase of it and also saving up for the hospital bills and the nursery. I wanted my baby to have the best care possible and I was doing whatever it took, even if it meant working overtime. No one at Tate's place knew I was pregnant, I hadn't found the right time to te
