Theodore’s eyes are huge as he can’t stop looking around while he fastens his seatbelt.
I open my newspaper, hiding my grin behind it because I don’t want him to feel embarrassed, as he is admiring the private jet we just settled in.
“Can I bring you a glass of champagne?”
Theodore looks at the stewardess with big eyes, as if he were caught in the headlights, but fails to answer her.
I chuckle because he clearly shouted ‘What?’ in his head.
“Or would you prefer a glass of wine? White or rosé?"
He shakes himself to reality, smiling uncomfortably

NathanaelHe is only letting his walls down slowly. But who could ever blame him?I pressured him to say something he didn’t want to disclose so openly to me yet, even if he was screaming it at me over and over again in his mind. And when I finally got him to say it out loud, I didn’t even say it back. What an idiot. But I had played it in my head a thousand times, I thought I would be prepared, as I was convinced that after hearing it so many times, it wouldn’t have any effect on me.It felt so playful when he said it in his head with his bubbly demeanor, but as he said them out loud, they crashed over me like a tsunami, hitting me with such an i
Theodore“I want to look after you—” My words turn into a strange squeal as he grabs me, throwing me over his shoulders. He laughs while I protest on his shoulder, and closes his pants on the way to the private elevator.“Nate! We need to clean up!” I thrash in his hold, but he doesn’t even seem disturbed by it in the slightest because he continues to walk unbothered, pushing the button effortlessly.“I’ll send someone.”I know that he is fucking with me, and I throw my hands in front of my face, letting myself slump over his muscular frame. “This is so embarrassing."He steps into the elevator, and I can hear his huge, sly grin in his voice when he presses
TheodoreI drive into the underground parking and am about to turn into the direction of the lots assigned to the employees, as Nathanael pulls at my hoodie. With a gesture of his head, he incites me to drive in the other direction, where I know he and the other high-ups keep their cars. I don’t see a reason to protest and make the engine howl as I regain speed, turning into another part of the parking basement. This literally gives me the chills, as even this part of the building is divided into two insanely different-looking constructions. These guys even have compartments, making it look like every car has its own room. And three protective walls around its front. ‘All the way down. The Sian is mine,’ he simply states, his voice echoing through my mind with nonchalance as if he didn’t just point out a fucking limited-edition Lamborghini in the process. Fine for me. I drive all the way down and halt behind his sports car, before I lower one foot to the ground to pilot my moto
Theodore“That’s not what I meant,” he murmurs, and I tsk, moving closer to him. “You feel something, then.” I poke, causing his eyes to set onto me. Smiling, I enjoy his eyes changing their color as he studies my face. “What are you doing here? Why did you disappear?” I hate myself for not being able to stay strong, my heart already racing in my chest because I fear him saying that he wouldn’t feel anything for me. As if this wasn’t already a given. He shakes his head. “It’s nothing.” “Nothing is a big word for a dude drenching in the rain without any reason,” I joke, but he just glares at me. I bite my tongue, refusing to give him yet another chance to change the subject. My heart does a somersault when he finally sighs, averting his gaze once again. “Many years ago, I used to really enjoy the rain. I had forgotten how good it feels.” Okay, this is not helpful at all. “Good thing you can’t get sick then.” Chuckling stupidly, I scoot a bit closer and finally get a shy smirk f
Theodore“Maybe he went to that realm. The one with the big-ass wolves. Can you bring me there?” I walk past her, feeling agitated. She turns around, following me. “I can’t send you into another realm on your own. That is dangerous. Just wait here for him. The day will soon be over. He usually returns a bit after midnight.”Checking my watch, I scoff. “It is only eight p.m. I can’t possibly wait for another four hours. Just do it. I promise that nothing will happen.”Her high heels click over the tiled floor as she tries to keep up with my erratic movements. She tries her best to convince me that she can’t do it, as it would be too dangerous, as her voice fades into the background. Looking over to a wall wit
