Pack.

Mathew POV.

"Tell everyone to get out in the clearing," I order my beta out loud, we all share a mental connection, I could order them all to come, but I'm trying my best to keep my connection to the pack to a minimum, they could feel my pain every time I connect to them.

"Yes, alpha," Zane answers, Zane is the beta, it's him, me, and three others, who live in my house, they are the strongest in the pack and my good friends.

"What do you want them for?" Nathaniel asks me, Nathaniel is part of the twin set, him and Nicholas, and they share the status of being the delta, the third in charge.

"Tell them they are safe from drills, but I need to talk to them," I say.

"Of course," he says with a chuckle, the pack hate when I lead the drills, I make them work for it.

The pack needs to know about the news, Lucifer has agreed to our demands, we're getting his heart, but we're not as cold-hearted as he thinks we are, we are wolves, we are creatures who belong to the moon and the goddess, although our loyalty has always been to Lucifer.

I stood outside waiting for them to get over here, it took them forever to get over here, lazy arses, but things would change again, once my heart heals, if it'll ever heal, and then I'll be back to kicking their arses into working out and running drills.

"Alpha," most of them say coming over, bowing their heads to me, paying their respect and keeping their distance away from me, in fear of course.

"Lucifer..." I start getting all of their attention, everyone wants to know what was up with the king of hell, what he got to tell us or not.

"Lucifer has agreed to give us our demands," I say with a smile, we won.

"The king of hell is giving us his kingdom?" one of the idiots called, I only looked at him, I was near jumping and beating his ass, but I'm in a good mood today, I'm going to give him another day to live.

"No, you idiot," I say with a growl, he better shut up before I kill him, "He's going to give us his heart," I say with a smile on my face.

"We'll break it? Just like he broke yours and ours?" another person asks, I would've done that, but it was very tempting, but we're not monsters.

"And show him that we are the monsters that we are accused of being?" I ask the whole pack, we should be on the same page, not just me ordering them to step down, they need to believe it.

"We're not monsters," the pack screams right and left, I know they aren't monsters.

"And we shall show Lucifer's heart what being with wolves really means," I say and they all agree with me, it's what I was expecting from my pack, I knew I could depend on them.

"The girl would be over today, a demon and a witch would bring her over," I say out loud, Lucifer would send her soon.

"Yes, alpha," the pack agrees with me, going down on their knees, bowing their heads, they will always obey me.

I went back to the house, we live on a farm like home, everyone works here, we got horses, animals and plants to take care of. I can't wait to have the girl over, would she love the animals? Would she play with them? A small smile came over my face, I didn't know her yet, but I feel connected to her, but would she hurt us, would she betray us.

I went to the barn and got my horse Summer, she's a beautiful mare and she's mine, I started to pet her, brushing her main before getting my saddle ready and getting o top, riding my mare checking on the rest of the pack.

I was away, enjoying the cold air, me and Summer enjoying each other's company, but that's when Nicholas connected to me through our bond.

'Alpha, they are here,' Nicholas says, they weren't supposed to be over for another hour at least, but they are here now.

'I'm coming,' I tell him and start the ride back to the house, to meet Lucifer's heart.

When I came in, I saw the same demon and witch from before, standing together with a girl standing in the middle, as the rumour said, she had ears and tail, a half kitten creature.

"Alpha, this is Iris," the demon introduces.

"Lucifer's heart," I say nodding, getting off my horse, seeing the witch getting closer with her eyes filled of excitement.

"You like horses little witch?" I ask her, they're trying to make amends with what happened, if lucifer is willing to play nice, so should I.

"Yeah," the witch says now standing next to Summer, I simply smiled to her going down.
