chapter 14

Lillith stopped in when she got to the front of a stream. She steadied her breath and fell to the floor to take some water into her mouth.

She had been running for about an hour and it told on her body.

In no time, she regained her strength but decided to sit there for a while. She knew she was safe and that was because she had crossed the boundary into somewhere else. She didn't know this place but something told her no one lived here.

Pushing herself up to her feet, she started walking by the stream, taking note of the trees that covered the whole area and rocks. Nocturnal animals went about their duties and she heard a squirrel scurry past her before running up a tree.

She was in the middle of nowhere. She stopped in the middle of the woods and began to look around.

She was in a dilemma. She was safe but lost. Being lost was not as bad as being in the danger of being found by Leon's men but she has to find somewhere safe from any sort of attacker.
