"I want Mommy!"

Alea continued to whine about being with Audrey. Nicky brought Alea into the room so that she could fall asleep, but instead of falling asleep, Alea continued to cry for Audrey.

This was the first time Alea was away from Audrey. She was not used to it, especially since Audrey always read her a fairy tale when she went to bed.

"Alea, baby, it's late, Mommy will come tomorrow, but now Alea will sleep first."

Alea refused to listen and continued to cry for Audrey. Nicky was confused and at a loss.

"What if Uncle reads a story? Alea loves fairy tales, right?"

Nicky quickly took a storybook from Alea's bag. Audrey had brought it to him earlier. She knew Alea's bedtime habit.

"Here you go." Nicky showed her a storybook.

Alea's attention was distracted, and the child looked at the book Nicky was holding. Although her sobs were still audible, they were not as loud as before.

"You like stories about princes and princesses, right?"
