Lara's pov:
panting as I managed to get free from his hard grip , just when I thought it was over he gripped my hair from behind and slammed my back to the wall behind me "ahh, stop you're hurting me " I cried with the last strength I had Holding me still and making his way with his hands towards my left breast ,my breathing became heavy " since when did the great Alpha start taking orders from a mere human"? He spoke with his voice low and dangerous I know I wasn't supposed to feel that way ,but his voice had a way of drawing me into a pit I can't escape, his touches arouse feelings I never knew were there Speaking with pleading eyes ,I raised my head to say" Please not today my stomach hurts ....th... The child " I tried to cover my belly with my free hand Sniffing my hair he mumbled " mmmmhm sweet dinner " and with that he used just one hand to tear what I was wearing, revealing my pure white skin that already had few hickeys around .Taking one of my breasts into his mouth he touched the other and kept caressing it making me weak in the legs He then moved his strong and firm knee and began rubbing it against my below Few minutes into that he replaced his knee with his fingers , gently moving his hands upwards he suddenly put his hand inside me and started thrusting in and out.. Finally not able to hold it in anymore I began moaning and moving my hips as well ,I Knew this wasn't right and I should hate him for this, but I just couldn't Whispering he asked " do you want me to stop"? Not knowing what to say I just kept silent "ANSWER ME LARA" he spoke with force this time as he added one finger and went a little bit faster " no no no! please yes " I whinned and looked at the window Holding my head to face his handsome and seductive eyes , " keep your eyes on mine " he spoke and kissed my lips gently but firm and possessively He was all over my body and it was driving me really crazy , just when I was about to reach my climax he withdrew from me with speed and I felt and empty hole deep in my stomach " no no I wanted more! I needed his hands all over me again , fuck! I missed it " Raising my head to look at his tall and huge body move towards the little sink in the bathroom , washing his hands I asked weakly which I knew he'd hear anyway. "why? what have I done? Reaching for his glass of wine which he dropped minutes ago before the torture he took a sip and walked to the door Hands on the door Knob he spoke with a low and dangerous tone " this is just the tip of an iceberg Lara , you'll regret trying to fool me into this trap , I'll use you as a scapegoat for any other stupid lady who thinks she can just come out of the blue and make things hard for me" I'll make sure you know why they call me ruthless , now wipe those fake tears , clean up and meet me in five minutes else!... And he walked out. FIVE MINUTES!? , just how did he expect me to do that when he ripped all my clothes to pieces ? With tears still on my face I sat on the bare floor wailing, but I stopped wailing when I felt my baby kick a bit Touching my belly I smiled sadly and spoke softly" I'm sorry baby, mummy is really weak compared to daddy and his subordinates, but trust me baby , we'll go through this alive that I promise " Standing up with face full of new ambitions I dragged my almost naked weak body to the washroom and cleaned up Coming to the room I saw new arranged set of clothes on the bed , Chuckling with no emotions on my face I dressed up and walked out of the room Coming into the main hall I saw Ella, the alpha's assistant walk up to me With a not so happy look she then spoke without respect or anything of the sort " so weak, you've made us wait for 10 minutes already , now I had to stress and find you " she spat " Now move towards the exit else we're leaving your ass out here and trust me you're gonna walk home , which you know how it felt the last time you did" Ella spat as she spoke " now get going human" she said and didn't even wait to assist me a little bit which I knew she'd rather die than do Raising my legs to move , I could still feel pain I my joints ,but I hid the pain and kept walking ahead , trying to keep up with her pace which I knew she deliberately walked that fast to stress me Coming out of the 10 storey building at the gates I saw other cars including that of the Alpha speed off as She opened the door to one of the servants car for me " get in!" Without a choice I went in and 'slam' the shut it loudly Adjusting and making myself comfortable I heard the driver ask " can we go now Luna"? Closing my eyes I used my last breath to say " yes Peter, please " And I closed my eyes as tears fell from the side Car already moving I just kept thinking about my life in the past 1 month and a week It has been hell for me I just kept blaming myself for being so stupid and naive Sniffing hard and almost every second ,Peter couldn't help but ask, bringing me out of my thoughts " umm Luna , are you okay? , should I pull over and call doctor Jane?" Is it the baby or where does it hurt"? he asked in one breath Smiling sadly I just asked " Peter " " " yes Luna " he answered gently then I asked a question which I knew he had no answer to "Why me"?The door slammed shut behind Lara, the sound echoing like thunder in the silent corridor. To anyone else, it looked like nothing more than a frustrated Luna retreating into her chambers—but Alex had been around long enough to know better. He frowned, eyes fixed on the door. Something about it… pulsed. He stepped forward, trying the handle gently at first. Nothing. He pressed harder, but when his hand brushed the wood, a sudden spark of golden light burst out. The force flung him several steps back, his boots scraping against the polished floor. Alex’s eyes widened, his breath catching. “What the hell was that?” he muttered. His chest heaved as he looked around quickly, relieved no one was present to witness this forbidden spectacle. He returned to the door, teeth gritted, and tried again—this time summoning a fraction of his wolf’s strength. Nothing. The barrier remained. All he could hear from inside were muffled sobs, faint but sharp en
Crane leaned back into the high-backed leather chair, Lilune’s faded photograph still clutched in his hand. The exhaustion of the day pressed down on him—the weight of Greyhem’s warning, Alex’s evasive answers, his own gnawing doubts. His wolf had gone quiet too, as if retreating somewhere deep inside, watching silently. The photograph trembled slightly in his fingers. Lilune’s eyes, captured forever in that frozen smile, seemed to stare back at him. Soft hair lifted by the breeze, sunlight dancing on her pale skin, wildflowers framing her like the goddess she had been to him. He closed his eyes. Just for a moment. Just long enough to rest. Darkness swallowed him. Then— The world bloomed into color. A wide meadow stretched before him, fields upon fields of wildflowers swaying under a golden sky. The air was fresh, alive, tinged with the sweet perfume of blossoms. Birds wheeled overhead, and the wind carried t
The heavy oak doors shut behind them with a soft thud, muffling the noises of the mansion. Crane strode in first, shoulders tense, his frame towering like a storm waiting to break. Alex followed at an easy pace, but his fingers twitched slightly as he raised a hand. Without waiting for permission, he pressed his palm against the carved wood, murmuring words under his breath. A faint shimmer rippled across the office like heat on stone—silent, invisible, but strong enough that even a supernatural being would strain against it. The air itself seemed to grow thicker, as if the room now existed outside the rest of the mansion. Sealed. No one was getting in, and nothing was getting out. Crane’s golden eyes lingered on the shifting haze before it vanished. He grunted. “Overkill.” Alex leaned lazily against the door, pretending nonchalance though his heart thudded faster than usual. “You asked for privacy. I gave you privacy. You
Lara’s lashes trembled against her cheeks. She wasn’t awake, not really — but she wasn’t lost in ordinary sleep either. Her body lay still on the bed, but her mind… her mind was somewhere else. Somewhere blurred, fragmented, voices whispering in the distance like echoes through a stone corridor. Her lips moved faintly as if answering questions that none of them could hear. Alex stood at the foot of the bed, his jaw clenched, eyes darkening as the faint shimmer of energy began to coil around her temples. Her skin glowed faintly, too warm, veins of silvery light threatening to pulse beneath her skin. “Everyone out,” he ordered sharply, his voice cutting like steel. Peter frowned, unwilling. Yousef hesitated too, for once not laughing or teasing. But the way Alex’s eyes flared left no room for argument. The air itself seemed to shiver, as if obeying. Peter was the first to step back,
Ella’s chamber was a storm of silk and broken glass. Vases that once held fresh lilies lay shattered across the floor, shards glittering like cruel diamonds beneath the dim light. She had ripped the curtains from their rails, clawed at the velvet pillows on her bed until the feathers spilled in a mockery of snow, and her breath came in ragged gasps, hot and desperate. Her hair, usually combed into perfection, now stuck to her damp face, strands clinging to the salt of her tears. She paced, barefoot, kicking porcelain pieces as if punishing them for existing. Every step screamed frustration, every movement a testament to the fury that burned through her veins."Her," Ella spat aloud, her voice breaking in the silence. "Always her!"The name Lara rolled on her tongue like venom. A weak, plain, undeserving girl—yet Crane looked at her, guarded her, as if she was the rarest jewel. And Ella? Ella who had stood beside him in battles, who had sharpened her c
The forest swallowed Crane’s heavy steps, the air growing colder the deeper he went. His wolf ran wild beneath the canopy, paws digging into the soil as if it could claw out the confusion gnawing at his chest. He stopped by the old riverbed, where moonlight reflected faintly even in the day, panting as his chest rose and fell with ragged breaths. But his mind would not quiet. Lilune. The name throbbed like a wound he thought he had buried centuries ago. Ella’s venomous tongue had dragged it back to life, and now, with Lara’s unconscious body flashing in his thoughts, everything inside him felt tangled. He shifted back into his human form, sweat dripping down his temples as his hands shook. His wolf raged, pacing restlessly in his head— mate, mate, mate— but his heart resisted, chained by memories. Crane slammed his fist into a tree, bark splintering under the force. “Damn it!” His voice cracked, raw
