“Don’t go.”

I stayed around as he showered and changed into loose clothes. The wound on his side had reopened yet again so I went to my room to get a first aid kit to dress the wound. There was still blood on me from hugging his bloody wolf and the rogue stench was killing me. I wanted desperately to go wash off and change out of these clothes but Xander held onto me with a whine.

“I have to change out of my clothes,” I said. “I’ll check back once days breaks although I’m certain your injury wound be healed by then.”

“Don’t leave me all alone, please.” He did not let go of my wrist as he begged me not to go. “You can wash here and borrow a shirt. Please, don’t leave me all alone.”

Did he get traumatized? Why was he clingy all of a sudden? I touched his forehead to see if he had developed a fever. He pressed his face against my palm, holding my wrist and nuzzling his face against my wrist even after I confirmed his temperature was not high.
