Lena’s POV

Amara didn’t deserve the life she had. The world handed her everything—beauty, love, admiration—while I was left with nothing but the title of being the illegitimate daughter of the vice president of Luton, a well-known real estate company. I was engaged to the second son of the CEO and President of the company, who had been adopted, while my sister married the heir. How cliché, right?

No matter how hard I worked, I could never rise above her. She was everything I could never be, and the worst part? She didn’t even appreciate it.

From the moment Amara introduced me to Darius, I knew he was mine. He belonged to me, and it had always been clear that I would do anything to keep him by my side. He was exactly what I needed—handsome, successful, and, more than anything, vulnerable.

Darius had a fragile ego, one I knew how to manipulate. He needed constant reassurance, someone to make him feel important. His father barely acknowledged him, and Amara—though she loved him—was too wrapped up in her own perfect little world. But me? I made him feel like he was everything.

I remember the time we had sex was in Amara's office. I never knew he could be that wild or maybe I did ,all I did that day was provoke him a little and the next minute I was on her desk.

He bent me over, pinned me to the desk,my legs spread wild open, he tore away the leggings I had on and ate me out like I had never expected. I moaned loudly but the office was sound proof so no one could hear us.I returned the favour by taking in his dick in my mouth, licking it with my tongue like it was the best thing I ever tasted.

he shivered in pleasure and I knew Amara had never done this and it's quite funny I'm the one who told her men hated it and she believed me.

The next minute he had already thrust his dick inside my wet pussy ,he was a bit impatient but who could blame him? The sounds of our bodies colliding filled the office for nearly an hour in different positions while Amara was still in the board meeting.

We cleaned up quickly to avoid suspicion but I knew he would never forget this moment.

I saw him in ways she couldn’t, ways no one else could. And I made sure he knew that. I gave him the validation he craved, the adoration he wanted. I made him believe he couldn’t live without me.

But it wasn’t just about the ego. Darius was mine, and once I set my sights on something, I didn’t stop until I had it.

The hospital room was sterile and cold, but the air between Darius and me was anything but. He stood by the window, looking out over the city, a frown pulling at his lips. He was trying to maintain distance, but I knew better. I knew him too well.

“How long do we have to keep pretending?” I asked, my voice low but steady, watching him as he turned to face me.

He avoided my gaze, his hands shoved deep into his pockets—a clear sign of discomfort. “What do you mean, Lena?” he replied, though I could tell from the tension in his jaw that he knew exactly what I meant.

“You’re worried, aren’t you?” I continued, moving closer, my voice soothing, vulnerable. “About Amara. About what she’ll do when she wakes up.” I leaned against the edge of her bed, glancing down at Amara’s still form. Her shallow breaths were the only sign she was still alive.

Darius sighed, the weight of his thoughts pressing on him. “She’s too strong, and her influence... I still need it. What if she remembers everything? What if she knows we… we’re the ones who—”

“We?” I interrupted, stepping closer, my voice quiet but sharp, cutting through the tension. “It’s you, Darius. You were the one who betrayed her first. I didn’t push her down the stairs alone. You stood there.

And now she’s lying there, vulnerable. All we have to do is keep her in the dark.”

He stiffened, guilt flashing in his eyes. “I didn’t mean for any of this to happen.”

“You didn’t mean for it to happen?” I scoffed, brushing a lock of hair from my face, pretending to be calm. But inside, I was far from it. “You were ready to walk away from her the second it became clear that I was the one who could give you everything you needed. I just… helped you realize that.”

Darius stepped forward, his gaze darkening, his voice tightening. “What if she wakes up? What if she remembers the truth? She could destroy everything.”

“She won’t remember,” I said firmly, reaching out to place a hand on his chest, my fingers tracing the fabric of his shirt.

“The doctor already confirmed it. Not if you keep pretending to be the loving husband you should’ve been all along.”

His eyes searched mine, hesitant. “And what if she does remember? What then?”

I smiled, slow and confident. “Then we make sure she doesn’t wake up. And even if she does, she won’t last long.”

The words slipped out before I could stop them, but there was no turning back now. At that moment, Darius froze. He knew exactly what I was suggesting. But he didn’t push back. He didn’t have the strength to fight me. And why would he? I had given him everything—his validation, his confidence, the love he could never get from his own family.

But even as I spoke those words, a small part of me wondered if this was the right path. Amara—despite all her faults—didn’t deserve this. She didn’t deserve to have her life destroyed just because I was tired of being the shadow.

But that part of me was buried deep, hidden by the need to secure what was mine. I would do whatever it took to keep Darius. To make sure everything I wanted—everything I deserved—was finally within my grasp.

I looked back at Amara, lying motionless on the bed. “Don’t worry, Darius. If she wakes up, she won’t remember a thing. And if she does, we’ll make sure she doesn’t tell anyone.”

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 44;TROUBLE FINDS ME

Leon’s POV The moment our eyes met, I knew exactly who he was. Alex Blackwood. Jesse’s boss. The shock nearly showed on my face, but years of surviving prison had taught me how to hide reactions quickly. I lowered my gaze almost immediately and forced myself to continue serving the table like nothing had happened. The timing couldn’t have been worse. The second I arrived in New York, I reached out to Jesse for help. We had known each other years ago, long before my life spiralled into disaster. Back then, we were reckless boys chasing trouble without understanding how cruel the world could become. What surprised me most was discovering that the inmate who helped me escape prison—Calum—was actually Jesse’s younger brother. Before disappearing, Calum had handed me a letter addressed to Jesse, explaining everything about my situation and warning him that my life was still in danger. By the time I reached New York, Jesse already knew who I was and why I needed help. That

Amara’s POVThe restaurant was breathtaking. Soft golden lights reflected against the elegant glass walls, and the quiet music playing in the background gave the entire place an intimate warmth I had never experienced before. Everything about it felt expensive, refined, and far beyond anything I was used to. Alex, on the other hand, looked completely at ease there. The moment we sat down, he ordered food for both of us without hesitation, clearly noticing I hadn’t eaten all day. My stomach embarrassingly betrayed me earlier in the car with a loud growl, and the amused look on his face afterwards nearly made me hide in shame. Thankfully, he only teased me lightly about it. We spent the next hour talking effortlessly, moving from casual jokes to deeper conversations so naturally it almost felt strange. Around Alex, silence never felt awkward. But at some point during dinner, I noticed his attention lingering on my necklace again. His expression had shifted slightly the mom

Elizabeth’s POV Ever since that night, William had started coming home earlier than usual. To my surprise, he also stopped disappearing into Nanny Vicky’s room and began sleeping beside me again without me having to say a single word. The sudden change amused me more than it should have. During dinner, I often caught him staring at me when he thought I wasn’t paying attention. His eyes would linger a little too long, almost like he was trying to figure me out—like he no longer knew the woman sitting across from him. And honestly? I found the entire situation hilarious. For years, William barely noticed my existence unless it benefited him. Now suddenly, after one night, he watched my every move like I carried some dangerous secret. Maybe I did. I lifted my wine glass slowly, pretending not to notice his gaze while inwardly enjoying the effect it had on him. The balance in our marriage had shifted, and William felt it, too. That was the interesting part. Men like

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 41;CITY LIGHTS

Alex’s POV The new auction house I acquired demanded most of my attention lately, but even with business piling up, I still hadn’t stopped searching for clues about the artwork I needed to find. Every lead seemed connected to another secret, another lie, and I was beginning to realize this mystery ran far deeper than I originally thought. Still, I had already done a good job baiting Rick into my game. Now, all I had to do was wait patiently for him to bite. Men like him always did when money and power were involved. Late last week, I received information that Amara would be leaving the country soon. Apparently, she had secured a collaboration with a well-known fashion brand to showcase her jewellery designs. Honestly, I was impressed. Most people would still be drowning in heartbreak after a divorce like hers, but instead, she was rebuilding herself from the ground up. There was something undeniably admirable about that kind of strength. And the fact that we were heading in

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 40; BE SAFE

Lena’s POV I had finally moved into the mansion, yet the atmosphere still felt far from peaceful. Darius remained bitter about the divorce papers and the way I forced his hand into signing them, though there was little he could do about it now. What amused me most was how badly he tried to hide it. The constant phone calls. The late-night drinking. The way his expression darkened every time Amara’s name came up. He still wanted her back. Too bad for him… she was already gone. I sat in my office, absently flipping through documents when my secretary knocked softly before stepping inside. “Ms. Lena,” she said carefully, “Amara officially submitted her resignation letter to the board this morning.” My fingers stilled against the paper. “She resigned?” I repeated slowly. “Yes, ma’am. Effective immediately.” The room fell silent after she left. I leaned back in my chair, narrowing my eyes thoughtfully. Was Amara really walking away from everything that easily? No.

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 39; FASHION WEEK

Amara’s POV Victoria messaged me early the next morning to let me know a driver was on the way to pick me up. The countdown to the fashion show had officially begun, and the pressure around the office was intense. Victoria had grown noticeably restless over the past few days, especially after her rival, Sophia, kept throwing subtle insults and challenges online. But this time, they were going to be shocked. I had spent nights perfecting the necklace piece for the collection, and for the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely confident in my work. When I arrived at the company, I paused outside Victoria’s office before knocking softly. Through the glass walls, I could see she had just wrapped up a meeting with several board members. Everyone inside looked polished, powerful, and intimidatingly comfortable in that world. Oddly enough, I felt out of place. The feeling unsettled me because I had spent years running my father’s company without ever doubting myself. But eve

Darius POV I couldn’t remember signing those divorce papers. The night had been a blur I had too much wine before Lena arrived, nothing made sense. She definitely had something to do with this. Frustration coiled in my chest, sharp and bitter, but there was nothing I could do—Amara had already le

Victorias POV “Why won’t she let us pick her up?” I vented to Nicole, pacing the room. “She came to my house yesterday, soaked to the bone. It’s obvious things with her husband have gotten worse since that… mistress moved in. And him claiming it’s for the child she’s carrying—give me a break.”

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 31; CROSSROADS OF FREEDOM

Amara's POV Finally, I was getting discharged today. I don’t think I could have survived another day trapped in that suffocating silence and confinement. Victoria had called earlier, offering to pick me up, but I had turned her down. “It’s fine,” I said. “Darius is on his way, and I’ve already a

LENA'S POV Running the company was far more exhausting than I had anticipated. Endless meetings, power plays, and board members still casting suspicious glances my way—it was a test of patience. But I didn’t blame them. I had leverage, and they all knew it. Every secret, every little piece of dirt
