Dual POV

Lena’s heels echoed against the cold stone floors of the prison corridor, each step deliberate, measured. The sharp click of her shoes reverberated in the silence, a rhythmic signal of authority that seemed to part the air before her.

Her gaze remained forward, eyes narrowed in steely focus, ignoring the hissing whispers of inmates as she passed. She was untouchable here, just as she had always been in the world outside.

At the visitor’s room, the guards were already waiting. They unlocked the heavy metal door with practiced precision. The man inside had been shackled, his hands bound in iron cuffs—an unmistakable reminder of the fate he had been forced to endure.

The guards removed the cuffs, but his eyes never left Lina. The brief moment of freedom did little to ease the tension in his shoulders; he looked like a cornered animal, uncertain of the predator that stood before him.

Lena took a seat across from him, her posture relaxed, but her presence was sharp and undeniable. The man shifted uncomfortably, his fingers twitching as though desperate to escape the invisible hold she had on him.

The air between them was thick with unspoken history—a history that left a bitter taste in the man’s mouth.

She leaned back slightly, her lips curling into a smirk as she studied him with unsettling amusement.

“It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?” Her voice was calm, but the sharpness in her tone betrayed her delight in his discomfort.

The man’s gaze flickered with a mix of anger and fear. He had once trusted her. He had once believed in her promises. But those promises had been shattered the moment his freedom had been ripped from him.

He couldn’t suppress the bitterness that bubbled to the surface as he spoke, his voice hoarse from years of confinement.

“What do you want, Lena?” he asked, his eyes hardening. “I’ve done everything you asked. I’ve rotted in here, paying for a crime you committed.

You promised me one year—maybe two. But it’s been far longer than that. Why haven’t you let me go? Why am I still here?”

Lena’s laugh was sharp, cutting through the tension like a blade. It was cold, calculated, and carried the unmistakable edge of someone who reveled in control.

“Shut up,” she commanded, her gaze turning colder still. “You have no right to question me. You’re alive because I allowed it, remember? Don’t forget who holds the strings here.”

The man swallowed hard, his fear deepening. His voice trembled slightly as he tried to reason with her, though he knew it was pointless.

“They’ll kill me if I do what you want. They’ll…” His voice faltered, and he looked away, trying to hide the terror in his eyes.

Lena’s expression remained unchanging, her gaze intense. She leaned forward, her words slow and deliberate.

“You don’t understand,” she said, her voice a low, deadly whisper. “If you don’t do what I say, you’ll die anyway. But don’t worry. No one will miss you.

Everyone thinks you’re already dead for years now and they have moved on.Do you really think anyone will question what happens to you now?”

Her words hung in the air like a noose, suffocating him with the weight of the threat. He knew she wasn’t bluffing. She had the power to erase him from existence with a single word, and she wouldn’t hesitate to do it.

Lena stood, her movements fluid and graceful, the threat in her eyes undeniable. She looked down at him, her lips curling into a cruel smirk.

“You’ll meet someone. A man named William,” she said, her voice cold and controlled. “He’s got connections—connections that can expose the dirty secrets of the shareholders.

That’s how we’ll get the upper hand on Amara at the next meeting. You’ll use this information to threaten them, manipulate them. And if you refuse...” She let the sentence trail off, the unspoken implication hanging heavily in the air.

“Don’t forget, you’re nothing without me. You will die, and no one will care.”

She turned on her heel, walking towards the door, the sharp click of her heels once again filling the space. She paused, glancing back at him with one last, mocking look.

“Do as you’re told, and you might just see the light of day again. Fail, and you won’t even be a memory.”

The door slammed shut behind her, leaving the man alone in his cell, trembling not just from the cold, but from the suffocating fear that had settled deep within him. He had never been truly free. Not while Lena controlled him, not while she had her grip on his life.

Lena’s car sped through the city, the darkened streets blurring past her. She felt the weight of her plan in her chest—heavy, but satisfying. The power she wielded was intoxicating. She had every intention of crushing Amara under her heel, and she wouldn’t stop until she had absolute control.

The car came to a stop outside the office, and Lina slid out with effortless grace, her secretary already waiting for her with a brief smile. But Lina wasn’t here for pleasantries. She had more pressing matters to attend to.

Inside, Darius stood before his desk, his eyes staring blankly at a photograph of Amara. The image of his wife—a reminder of the life he had lost—pulled at his heart, a bitter ache that he couldn’t escape. Regret, like a dark cloud, hung over him.

He had been a fool, swept up in a dangerous game that he didn’t know how to win.

His thoughts wandered back to that night—the jewelry exhibition.

The way Amara had looked, so beautiful, so full of life. The memory of her warmth, her smile, haunted him, and for a brief moment, he wished he could turn back time.

But he couldn’t. The damage had already been done.

He had fallen into Lena’s web, and now he was too far gone to break free. Her grip on him was tight, suffocating, and despite his lingering feelings for Amara, he couldn’t escape her. Not now.He was also indirectly responsible for the death of their child.

The door creaked open, and Lena stepped in, her presence sweeping through the room like a storm. She paused as her eyes scanned the space, briefly resting on Amara’s photo.

A flash of anger flickered in her eyes, but she masked it quickly, her face turning to stone as she approached him.

“Do you still miss her?” Lena’s voice was a soft, cruel whisper.

Darius froze, his breath catching in his throat. He quickly shoved the photo into his desk drawer, his hand trembling as he did so.

“I…” He faltered, his voice caught in his throat.

Lena didn’t wait for an answer. She was never patient with him. She leaned forward, her gaze intense and predatory.

“Forget about her, Darius,” she said, her voice dripping with possessive venom. “We have bigger plans. You can’t go back to her. You know she never cared about you, not really. All she did was watch you fall.”

Darius’s stomach churned as doubt clouded his mind. Maybe, just maybe, there was a chance for redemption now that she couldn’t remember everything. But then the crushing thought hit him—what would happen when her memories returned? When she recalled the truth, the betrayal, the lies—she would hate him.The hope he had clung to for so long would be nothing more than a fragile illusion, shattered in an instant.

Lena stepped closer, her presence suffocating, each movement deliberate as she traced her fingers along the edge of his desk. Her touch was like a silent, venomous reminder of the control she had over him.

Every caress of her fingertips felt like another strand in the web of lies she had spun, tightening around him with each passing second. His every instinct screamed to break free, but he was powerless, trapped in the tangled mess she had crafted.

He knew he had only himself to blame. His jealousy, his need to control, had driven him to make choices he couldn’t undo. His actions had placed him here, ensnared in a web that he could neither escape nor untangle. And now, trapped in Lena’s manipulation, he realized with bitter clarity that he had become a prisoner of his own making.

“I’ve been here for you, Darius,” she murmured, her voice coaxing, persuasive. “When no one else would, I was the one who took care of you. I made sure you rose. I’m the one who stands by you now, not her. Don’t you remember that?”

Her words slithered into his mind, planting themselves deep. He couldn’t stop the gnawing feeling that, despite everything, she had a point.

She had been there when no one else had. She had given him everything, and yet, here he was—torn between his regrets and his desperate, toxic attraction to her.

Lena sat on his lap kissing him while she slid her hands down to his trousers unbuckling the belt and zipping his pants down. She squeezed his dick asserting dominance.

Darius knew what she was doing and knew he had lost completely immediately she started to suck his dick.

"We're in the office, Lena," he said, his voice strained, trying to push back against the growing pull of desire. But she didn't stop.

Lena knew exactly how to touch him, where to press, and when. She had learned every little detail, had taken classes, honed her skills—all to make sure she could play him like a violin. And now, it was working.

Minutes passed, the air heavy with tension. Darius moaned, his control slipping, the weight of the situation threatening to break him. His mind was clouded, the rational part of him screaming to pull away, but the rest of him was lost, helpless.

"Fuck, Lena," he finally gasped, surrendering to the control she had over him.

She smiled, cleaning herself up slowly, her eyes glinting with satisfaction. She had him, locked in her trap, and he knew it. There was no way out now.

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 44;TROUBLE FINDS ME

Leon’s POV The moment our eyes met, I knew exactly who he was. Alex Blackwood. Jesse’s boss. The shock nearly showed on my face, but years of surviving prison had taught me how to hide reactions quickly. I lowered my gaze almost immediately and forced myself to continue serving the table like nothing had happened. The timing couldn’t have been worse. The second I arrived in New York, I reached out to Jesse for help. We had known each other years ago, long before my life spiralled into disaster. Back then, we were reckless boys chasing trouble without understanding how cruel the world could become. What surprised me most was discovering that the inmate who helped me escape prison—Calum—was actually Jesse’s younger brother. Before disappearing, Calum had handed me a letter addressed to Jesse, explaining everything about my situation and warning him that my life was still in danger. By the time I reached New York, Jesse already knew who I was and why I needed help. That

Amara’s POVThe restaurant was breathtaking. Soft golden lights reflected against the elegant glass walls, and the quiet music playing in the background gave the entire place an intimate warmth I had never experienced before. Everything about it felt expensive, refined, and far beyond anything I was used to. Alex, on the other hand, looked completely at ease there. The moment we sat down, he ordered food for both of us without hesitation, clearly noticing I hadn’t eaten all day. My stomach embarrassingly betrayed me earlier in the car with a loud growl, and the amused look on his face afterwards nearly made me hide in shame. Thankfully, he only teased me lightly about it. We spent the next hour talking effortlessly, moving from casual jokes to deeper conversations so naturally it almost felt strange. Around Alex, silence never felt awkward. But at some point during dinner, I noticed his attention lingering on my necklace again. His expression had shifted slightly the mom

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 42;THE WIFE HE OVERLOOKED

Elizabeth’s POV Ever since that night, William had started coming home earlier than usual. To my surprise, he also stopped disappearing into Nanny Vicky’s room and began sleeping beside me again without me having to say a single word. The sudden change amused me more than it should have. During dinner, I often caught him staring at me when he thought I wasn’t paying attention. His eyes would linger a little too long, almost like he was trying to figure me out—like he no longer knew the woman sitting across from him. And honestly? I found the entire situation hilarious. For years, William barely noticed my existence unless it benefited him. Now suddenly, after one night, he watched my every move like I carried some dangerous secret. Maybe I did. I lifted my wine glass slowly, pretending not to notice his gaze while inwardly enjoying the effect it had on him. The balance in our marriage had shifted, and William felt it, too. That was the interesting part. Men like

Alex’s POV The new auction house I acquired demanded most of my attention lately, but even with business piling up, I still hadn’t stopped searching for clues about the artwork I needed to find. Every lead seemed connected to another secret, another lie, and I was beginning to realize this mystery ran far deeper than I originally thought. Still, I had already done a good job baiting Rick into my game. Now, all I had to do was wait patiently for him to bite. Men like him always did when money and power were involved. Late last week, I received information that Amara would be leaving the country soon. Apparently, she had secured a collaboration with a well-known fashion brand to showcase her jewellery designs. Honestly, I was impressed. Most people would still be drowning in heartbreak after a divorce like hers, but instead, she was rebuilding herself from the ground up. There was something undeniably admirable about that kind of strength. And the fact that we were heading in

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 40; BE SAFE

Lena’s POV I had finally moved into the mansion, yet the atmosphere still felt far from peaceful. Darius remained bitter about the divorce papers and the way I forced his hand into signing them, though there was little he could do about it now. What amused me most was how badly he tried to hide it. The constant phone calls. The late-night drinking. The way his expression darkened every time Amara’s name came up. He still wanted her back. Too bad for him… she was already gone. I sat in my office, absently flipping through documents when my secretary knocked softly before stepping inside. “Ms. Lena,” she said carefully, “Amara officially submitted her resignation letter to the board this morning.” My fingers stilled against the paper. “She resigned?” I repeated slowly. “Yes, ma’am. Effective immediately.” The room fell silent after she left. I leaned back in my chair, narrowing my eyes thoughtfully. Was Amara really walking away from everything that easily? No.

  • Survived Betrayal, Made My Ex-Husband Crawl   CHAPTER 39; FASHION WEEK

Amara’s POV Victoria messaged me early the next morning to let me know a driver was on the way to pick me up. The countdown to the fashion show had officially begun, and the pressure around the office was intense. Victoria had grown noticeably restless over the past few days, especially after her rival, Sophia, kept throwing subtle insults and challenges online. But this time, they were going to be shocked. I had spent nights perfecting the necklace piece for the collection, and for the first time in a long while, I felt genuinely confident in my work. When I arrived at the company, I paused outside Victoria’s office before knocking softly. Through the glass walls, I could see she had just wrapped up a meeting with several board members. Everyone inside looked polished, powerful, and intimidatingly comfortable in that world. Oddly enough, I felt out of place. The feeling unsettled me because I had spent years running my father’s company without ever doubting myself. But eve
