Chapter Fifty-Seven: Human Queen

I sat silently in my place as the car continued to barrel down the road in the direction of town, my hands placed in my lap as I attempted to process all the new information that had been given to me all at once.

I didn’t know why but the news that I would be Queen came as a complete shock to me, I know how ludicrous that sounds as I knew what title Baron held, but I guess as I was attempting to ignore the fact that he and I were mates for as long as possible, the topic of me accepting him and becoming his Queen seemed impossible to me.

But now to witness each person I passed bow their heads towards me, it was as though reality had finally, set in and what huge responsibility I held on my shoulders began to cause me to worry a little, would I be up to the task of being Queen?
