Sometimes Serena had noticed Amy flirting with Simon when she thought Serena was not looking, and the moment Serena focus her attention on them , she try to be friend with her.

One thing Serena was grateful for was that Simon never had any interest in his colleague and she was happy, nevertheless Serena wanted to be sure the friend Simon was talking about was not Amy, " can you text me when you get to Spain?" Desperation etched in her voice as she begged for this one last favor, just a simple click of his finger across his phone, that is all she asked for.

Simon gaze burned into the ground, he stood there with one hand on the door lock and the other holding his suitcase, Serena stood there anticipating with bleeding heart, dried tears on her cheek and fresh ones sitting in her eyes, the anticipation surrounding them was forceful, she needed him to hold her up like he always promise he would.

Simon rolled his lip together, lifted up his face and skip right over her, Serena's heart flipped and crashed to the bottom of her chest shattering into a billion shreds as he turned the handle of the door and yanked it open.

"No"

He shut the door with that as his last word kept ringing in her head, " NO"

The moment the door closed, she collapsed onto the couch next to her, crumbling into herself as her heartache ripped down the length of her body, her loud cries echoed across the room penetrating every open space of the apartment along with her frantic breathing as the atmosphere became a mixture of grieving moans.

Alone with her sorrow, she crawled like the pathetic animals she had turned into back to the couch and against the front window of their apartment, tearing the curtain of the window open she wanted to see the love of her life for the last time, to see if he was outside feeling remorse about leaving her, having a rethink, running back into the apartment laughing telling her it was all a joke, she wanted to see him as he drive away from the life they had built together like it was nothing.

As her watery gaze found Simon, he was throwing his suitcase into the trunk of a red sport car, every sob wracking her body ceased as she saw the car.

She knew the car!

She sees it everyday at his office.

As the piece of familiarity fell together in serena's mind, the owner of the car popped her head outside of the driver side, giving Simon a sweet smile.

Amy.

Simon opened the passenger side door and Amy flashed him a warm smile that curdled the acid in her stomach, they both kissed and disappeared into the car together as Serena watched them drive away into the sunset as the new romantic character of what was going to be a fairy tale and happily ever after.

In that same minute Serena realized she had become the villain, she suddenly felt sick, she was the outcast of her own story.

Serena stayed indoor crying her eyes out for weeks, she had grown thin, her face paled, and her hair unkept, she had tried stalking Simon on many occasions, she could remember the first day he broke up with her, she had picked her phone later that night, glad to see he had not blocked her, Serena went to his I*******m profile and saw he had posted, announcing to the world his new relationship with Amy.

Simon had gotten over one thousand views with people congratulating him, a comment caught her attention, someone had asked about her, and Simon's reply brought fresh tears to her eyes, he told the commenter that she was in the past, he is happy to start a new life with his newly found love.

Serena had cried herself to sleep, she had emptied every bottle of both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic wine in the apartment she once shared wirh Simon, one turn of her head, she would see their pictures hung on the wall.

Getting a hold of herself after crying for two weeks, she summon courage to remove every piece of their memories together hung on the wall, she let out a blood curdling scream as she smashed the glass frame, gathered everything he had bought for her, leaving nothing behind, she set fire on it, watching it burn.

Serena looked around her semi-empty room, gathered her belonging, she determined to start her life again miles away from her present location, she vowed to do everything in her power to get over Simon forever.
