Chapter 7

Skylar POV

I held Leon tighter as she look frightened by me 

"Why are you so tense?" I asked after calming down

"It...it nothing I was just...you know...I"

"What's wrong?" My so called Mom interrupted clearly confused as she looked from me to Stacy

"Any problem?" She asked again

I turn to her and smile "we are fine just having a little chat with sister"

"Dinner is ready, let's eat" Mom led us to the dinning

"What happened ? Do you remember anything?" Leon whispered as we were led to the dinning

"It nothing" i shaked my head 

He added force to my palm and I was forced to look at him

"I'm fine" 

He pulled a chair for me as we got to the table 

My father is already waiting for us 

We all sat and ate in silent 

I studied my so called family, Stacy was deep in thought and wasn't eating much,my Mom was keeps filling my plate and my father just ignored me

"Where's my brother?" I don't see him so I asked

"He's on a business trip" my Mom smiled and add food to my plate

I nodded continue eating

I waved them goodbye as I and Leon got into the car.

They watched as our car left,and I also kept looking at them till I can't see them again

'There's something wrong with that stairs am sure,it like I once fell off it but I can't remember clearly,what could I be missing'

"You remember something right?" Leon interrupted my thought

"Nothing much thought,you said I got into a car accident right?" I looked at him attentively to catch if he's lying but he stare back at me and nodded

'Guess I really had an accident but why can't I believe it?'

"You don't believe me?" Leon raised his brow 

"Of course I do" I replied and wave off my thought 

"We are home" Leon helped me out of the car and we went in 

"I'm tired" I muttered

"Go shower and dress up I will be waiting for you" Leon said and went into the kitchen

I went to our room to shower and changed into my pajamas 

I lay on the bed and soon fell asleep

   

 I stretched and groaned,I was in the same position I was in which means Leon hasn't come to our room.

I stood up and went to the kitchen to get water but paused when I hear Leon voice from the kitchen

"It time,make him lose the deal"

He kept quiet to listen to the other person on phone

"And prepare the bankruptcy of James and Co limited, I want it bankrupt in a week and Stella or whatever her name is make sure she don't go international" I felt chill and can't help but shiver

'Why did Leon want to finish my family? What exactly is wrong here? I know he hates them but this is too much 

What is Leon hiding from me?'

"Ouch" i staggered and almost fell and my cover was blown

I stare at the chair that blew my cover in annoyance

"Let me call you back" Leon hanged up

"You ok" he moved close to me and helped me up

"What was that about?" I turned to him as he sat me down

"It nothing much" he answered without sparing a glance

"Really? Bankruptcy? disqualify Stacy? Make Alex lose what he went for? And you said it nothing"

"Skylar you won't understand,you will one day but for now just trust me it all for your sake" Leon lament

"I won't understand? Then you make me" 

"Skylar just trust me" Leon sighed 

I stare deep into his eyes and was almost lost in it 

"I'm trusting you one last time" I stood up and Leon pat my hair

"I'm going back to bed" I was already on my way to the room and Leon followed behind me.

Stacy POV

I paced from right to left,I bit my nails in anxiety,my heart kept beating really fast. I tried to calm down but I wasn't able to 'Skylar must have remembered, she definitely remembered some…'

"Stacy will you stop pacing around I'm getting dizzy" Mom frowned

She doesn't  seems to care when I told her about it

"Mom I swear Skylar remembered she definitely remembered everything you need to see the way she reacted on the stairs" I explained without a break

"Calm down Stacy.Skylar remembered nothing. Do you think she will have dinner with us after she remembered? You are just anxious" Mom tried to calm me down but I'm not buying it. I saw Skylar's expression and the dark gaze she gave me even though she tried to hide it.

"Come on Stacy it's ok Skylar…." Mom stopped and look at the door.I also stopped pacing when I saw the door opened and dejected Alex entered

"Alex" Mom called

"Alex" She called again and Alex ignored her.Alex pass us as if we were invisible,Alex was on the stairs when Mom reacted 

She went after him and pull him

Alex looked at her with crazed eyes and Mom let go of him out of shock.She stepped back.

Alex gaze moved to me too.His crazed cold gaze frightened me and I can't help but shiver

He claimed the steps closely both I and Mom watched as he went into Dad's study

"Something must be wrong" Mom managed to find her voice

I nodded with fear.Alex is the scariest of us all.And he's capable of doing anything he's unstoppable. He made me forget about Skylar for a while.

Mom was about to tell me something when we heard Dad's loud voice

"You bastard can't you even handle a small task how could you blow it up"

We know for sure he was talking to Alex

"Mom should we go check?" I asked and Mom shakes her head no 

"But Mom what….."

"Trrrr" 

The sound of the broken vase interrupted

Dad caused and we heard the sound of things breaking

"We better stop them" Mom took to her heels and ran into the study I followed after her

I was shocked by what I saw inside

Alex and Dad were standing face to face,they both looked angry.Alex eyes was Bloodshot I can tell he's more angry than Dad. They looked like they wanted to kill each other  and Alex raise the small family portrait on the desk and swing it in Dad's direction 

"Alex!" Mom yelled…..
