The sun shone brightly in the sky like it was never as dark as the coal a few hours ago.

"Are you heading to office?" Tori asked from the other side of the phone.

"Yup. When are you coming?" I ask her, pressing the phone between my shoulder amd ear as I use both my hands to lock the door of my apartment.

"Tonight." She tells me, her voice laced with excitement.

I moved to Spokane city a month ago. It was a decision to re start a new life that was mine to live and mine to ruin. Spokane is almost 279 miles away from Seattle but it is close enough. I can always visit my parents after a four hour driving in the car.

Spokane is a beautiful place to live including the better career and job opportunities.

"Make sure to have loads of tubs of ice cream." She tells me and I respond to her positively.

"Okay, I gotta go now."
