Finn sighed deeply. He nodded. “It's okay. Just think about it. I'll be waiting for you,” he said.

Feeling like the conversation would go a different way, Jojo stood up. “I'll get ready,” she said. She also wanted to be out of that house.

However, she was just passing past Nill's room when she heard Vera's hushed voice. “If you let them see any of these, I will kill you.”

Jojo was frozen in place. She hesitated for a second before peeping in through the door. Nill was kneeling on the ground while packing his bag, and Vera looked so mad at him.

“Why couldn't you even say no? Didn't I tell you? He doesn't care about you!” She said, her fingers clenched.

“But... Daddy loves me. I want to live with Daddy,” Nill said, tears falling from his eyes.

Vera seemed stunned for a second. “What? You dare talk back at me?” She asked. “Get up! I can say right now that you are not going anywhere.”

She held Nill's hand and forcefully pulled him up. Jojo felt her breath turn so hot. She felt so annoyed.
