Jomar burst into laughter at Josh's words. "Are you kidding? You? Yannie's boyfriend?"

"Who else do you think?" Josh said seriously to Jomar, then turned his gaze to me. "Let's go and talk," he said and was about to take my hand. However, Jomar quickly pulled me away from Josh and slightly hid me behind him.

"Is what he's saying true, Yannie?" Jomar asked me seriously, looking at Josh with a sharp gaze.

"H-Huh?"

"Is it true... that this guy is your boyfriend?" Jomar repeated the question, still staring intensely at Josh.

I glanced at Josh, meeting his eyes. His throat moved as he swallowed, and his eyes pleaded with me.

"You can't answer, which means what this guy is saying is not true. He's not your boyfriend, and he's just here to cause trouble. Am I right, Yannie?" Jomar said when I didn't respond.

"Yannie, please. Let's talk—"

"Leave," Jomar quickly cut Josh off. "Can't you see? Yannie doesn't want to talk to you."
