I let out a cold laugh and said, "You're not sorry, Gwen. You're just scared because you know you're about to lose everything."Gwen's face went deathly pale; she knew then that I wasn't going to help her.But after a long pause, she suddenly clenched her fists and said through gritted teeth, "Ernest, don't get too smug just yet! Even if I go down, I'll make sure you don't have it easy either!"Let me tell you—Keith is a thousand times better than you! Even without you, I can still grow Blanchard Group into something great!"I met her threat with a look of pure derision. "Keith? Why don't you take a look around and see where he is right now?"Gwen froze. She scanned her surroundings but couldn't find a single trace of Keith. It was only then that she realized he hadn't said a single word throughout the entire confrontation. Panic set in. She pulled out her phone and dialed Keith's number, only to be met with an automated message saying his phone was switched off.I looked at he

With tears and snot streaming down her face, she wailed hysterically, "Mr. Swanson, Ms. Swanson, we were wrong! We were too stupid to see who stood before us. Please, show us mercy and forgive us!"We truly had no idea Aurelia was your daughter. If we had known, we wouldn't have dared to cross her, not even if we had a hundred times the courage!"They begged and pleaded. Their voices were not only shrill and desperate, but also filled with profound regret and terror. Mr. Swanson looked

I frowned deeply at the utterly unreasonable Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard, a wave of irritation rising in my chest."Watch your mouths. My wife is standing right here," I said coldly, casting them a warning look.At this, Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard grew even more agitated."You bastard! You've been fooling around with some vixen on the side too?" Mrs. Blanchard pointed at Aurelia and spat venomously, "Look at that face—what a whore! You can tell she's nothing but trouble!"You think you can steal my daughter's man? Let me teach you a lesson your parents clearly never bothered to!"As she spoke, she actually lunged forward to strike Aurelia. Swift as a flash, I stepped in and shoved Mrs. Blanchard back. "What do you think you're doing?"Mrs. Blanchard stumbled and fell straight to the ground."Help! Murder! I've just been assaulted by my son-in-law! He actually shoved me over some homewrecker! Everyone, come look at this!"She sat on the ground, kicking and thrashing, wailing at the top

Gwen declared smugly, "Mr. Swanson, you have nothing to worry about. We're partners, after all. I'll take care of this small matter myself. It won't disturb your daughter's wedding in the slightest."Then, she barked, her voice dripping with arrogance and triumph. "Security! Get over here!"Several security guards rushed over immediately and stood at attention before Gwen. Pointing at Aurelia and me, she issued her command with her nose in the air. "Throw these two out."Then, she gestured toward the ballroom, her voice growing even shriller. "And clear everyone out of the ballroom as well! The heiress of Swanson Group has reserved the entire venue today. No authorized personnel are allowed inside!"She looked at Aurelia and me with gloating satisfaction, as if already picturing us being thrown out in disgrace. She was thoroughly convinced she could handle the situation and make a good impression on Mr. Swanson. But the very next second, the smile on her face froze solid.A crisp

"Ernest, what the hell are you trying to pull?"Not only was Gwen's voice sharp and piercing, but it was also thick with accusation and fury, like that of a provoked lioness.I was beyond speechless. Was this woman genuinely stupid, or was she just pretending to be?"I sent out the wedding invitations ages ago. It's not my fault you didn't bother to take a look at them. Besides, I told you from the start that I never intended to marry you. You were the one flattering yourself this whole time."With that, I couldn't be bothered to waste my breath on her. I took Aurelia's hand and started toward the ballroom. But Gwen exploded like a cat whose tail had just been stomped on."Ernest, how dare you play me? Well, if that's how it is, then I'll make sure your wedding doesn't happen either!"Gwen pointed at the grand, opulent hotel lobby. "You're nothing but an unpaid nanny! Don't you dare get uppity with me!" she shouted, her voice brimming with arrogance. "Let me tell you something

I smiled warmly and gazed at Aurelia with tenderness. "Not at all. You look absolutely stunning today."Aurelia's cheeks instantly flushed crimson. She shyly lowered her eyes and tightened her grip on my hand. "Alright, let's go inside. Everyone is waiting for us."Her voice was soft and sweet, carrying a subtle hint of coyness that made my heart flutter.Gwen, on the other hand, stood frozen in place. Her eyes widened as she stared fixedly at Aurelia, her gaze filled with shock and utter disbelief."Who is she? Why is she wearing my wedding dress?" Gwen's voice was shrill and piercing, like a cat whose tail had just been stepped on.I was completely speechless. Rolling my eyes, I said flatly, "Who else could she be if not the bride?"Gwen still looked as if she'd seen a ghost, utterly incapable of accepting reality.Just then, Keith launched into yet another one of his pathetic performances. With a pained, heartfelt expression, he looked at me and said with fake concern, "Ernes
