Chapter 9- Raver

I took in a breath of air as my eyes slid open to find a bright blue sky with the sun heading towards the west. The sound of seagulls and waves beating against the shore travelled to my ears as the sandy smell of a beach wafted in the cool breeze.

I was in the process of getting up when I began to smell the familiar scent of apples and orchids and felt a weight on my chest shift slightly.

I smiled as I looked down to see Myra's beautiful face staring back at me as she slept peacefully, the image of a lovely sunset as a background to her soft features.

I ran my hand through her hair which caused her eyes to fly open as she quickly moved away from me, seeming to be startled by my touch.

She threw her arms around me as she hugged me tightly as if her life deepened on it.
