Sitting at one of the tables, Isabelle looked at Ted Spalding as he was coming towards her with two glasses of champagne. She liked him as a man and as a person. He was acting so normal, even though he was a very rich man, and he was quite nice. They had danced, talked about music, about theater, about a lot of things.

The following morning, Isabelle dressed in her usual clothes. Fortunately, the accident of the night before hadn’t caused too much damage and there had been no injuries apart from a small cut on his cheek that was already closing very well.
