Aaron’s POV

I sat in my office, drowning in guilt.

The irony wasn't lost on me: all those years building a stronghold of discipline, of control, and I couldn't even control my mind anymore. My thoughts were a swarm, a restive, looping noise that began and ended with Ethan.

But it wasn’t just the kiss - it was everything after it.

Because now, there really needed to be a wedding.

Not just for show, not just a press announcement to quiet the rumors he had stirred-but an entire, breathing, visible event. The world would have to see me, Aaron Warner, stand beside Ethan Wright and say vows neither of us meant.

Only, one of us didn't know that yet.

Ethan still thought this marriage, however unconventional, was real enough to hold meaning. That it was born from something sincere, something blossoming out of tension and possibility. But the truth was uglier, crueller, necessary. He didn't know this was a message for Benson — a final warning disguised as love.

And that realization made my ches

Ethan’s POVI had barely sat down before the questions started.Anderson's eyes were wide as he leaned into me, while Jonathan looked as if he was about to spontaneously combust from curiosity. They both stared at me as if I were a museum exhibit that had just come alive.“Wait, wait, wait,” Anderson said, raising a hand theatrically. “You mean to tell me you two have been dating all this time, and we never even suspected a thing?”Jonathan scoffed. “Dating? Please. Didn’t you see the way they practically vacuumed each other’s lips a few minutes ago? That wasn’t just dating—that was an event.”“Oh my God,” Anderson whispered, “He’s right. Ethan Banks is officially Mr. Warner now.”They both turned to stare at me, like they'd just discovered a new species.I blinked slowly, trying to keep up. “Guys—“And how long has this been going on?” Jonathan pressed. “Since last week? Last month? Since when, Ethan?”"Since high school," I said quietly. That earned me a synchronized gasp.Anderson'

  • TAMING THE BILLIONAIRE; My Brother's Best Friend    BREAK THE NEWS

ETHAN'S povIt had been a week of awkward glances.A week of half-smiles and unfinished sentences, and air so thick I could almost taste it whenever Aaron walked into a room.We didn't talk about it in the car that morning. We didn't speak about how close we'd been, or how my head had found its way to his shoulder. We also didn't talk about the fact that he'd told me to leave the stain-like it meant something. We buried it under work instead. And work, at least, was great.Madi and Anderson were showing me the new security protocol they'd been debugging all month. I stood beside them and watched code race down the screen like digital poetry: lines and numbers, colors flickering with precision."So this," Anderson said, pointing to a string of numbers, "was the problem. The encryption loop kept redirecting itself. We had to reverse-engineer the recursion manually."Madi grinned. “In short, we broke the unbreakable.”I let out a low whistle. "You guys are geniuses."Anderson gave me a l

  • TAMING THE BILLIONAIRE; My Brother's Best Friend    PROOF IT HAPPENED

Aaron's pov Ethan said nothing that morning. He was too quiet. And I didn’t need to ask why.He was still doing the very thing he said he wouldn't,letting me close, letting me near, letting me pull him back into a rhythm neither of us knew how to stop. What the hell had I been thinking last night?I leaned in towards him, like I was going to kiss him, out there in the open smelling of champagne and applause, and the whole world had just watched him shine under those stage lights. He'd been all alone, looking lost and perfect at the same time, and I-God-I just couldn't help myself.I should have just left him alone.I should have walked away.Stop pulling him in just to push him back.Stop treating him like gravity when I was supposed to be his space. The worst part was, I didn't know how to stop. The car purred softly as we hit the road. Ethan sat next to me, leaning his head against the window, his eyes half-lidded. I noticed the dark circles beneath them. He hadn't slept at all l

  • TAMING THE BILLIONAIRE; My Brother's Best Friend    GOODNIGHT PEACE

ETHAN'S povI was supposed to be finding peace. That was the whole damn point of the Riot—music, chaos, and release. To let go of everything I'd been dragging behind me like rusted chains. I was supposed to find my center, my balance, my calm. But how the hell was I supposed to do that when every time I looked at Aaron, my chest felt like it was being crushed? He said things, acted in ways that tore open wounds I'd sworn had already healed. One minute he was near, the next he was gone, and I stood there, choking on air that didn't feel like enough. How could someone make me want to punch a wall and pull him close in the same heartbeat? How could he look at me like I still mattered when he'd been the one to walk away?It was all a storm.A tornado named Aaron Warner. The lights faded, the music dissolved into the night, and I still couldn't tell what I was supposed to be feeling. Confused. Angry. Heartbroken. Relieved. All of it twisted together, one ugly knot that wouldn't come undone

  • TAMING THE BILLIONAIRE; My Brother's Best Friend    A STAR OUT OF REACH

Aaron’s POVI smiled again, this time turning to Ethan as applause finally began to die down. The sound echoed in the enormous hall, warm and thunderous, caroming off glass walls and glittering chandeliers above. My hand brushed against his shoulder, briefly on purpose, and the slight jolt that ran through his body was almost imperceptible to anyone else but me.The moment we had stepped off the stage, a deluge of men and women in designer suits swept toward us like moths to a flame. Investors. Sharks, more accurately. They smelled opportunity the way wolves smelled blood, and Warner Industries' recent recovery-no, our recovery-had just become their latest fascination.I had barely got a breath in when one of them, a tall man with a bronze watch that probably cost as much as a car, clapped my shoulder. “Mr. Warner, that speech—magnificent. You've outdone yourself again.”“I appreciate that,” I said smoothly, though my gaze had already caught Ethan’s back as he moved toward the far end
