LOGINLiam POV
I carried another box down the hallway. Nicole’s things were scattered across the guest room floor, half-unpacked, half-still in their bags.
She sat on the edge of the bed, hugging her knees, looking a bit distracted. “Need help?” I asked.
She shook her head. “I’m fine.”
Her voice was soft, but there was steel behind it. I smiled, she always had that stubborn streak. But something about her felt different recently.
I leaned against the doorframe. “Alright. Just… don’t hesitate to tell me anything, okay?”
She nodded. Eyes flicking toward the corner, toward the window, toward nothing.
I noticed the way she flinched when I shifted. Her gaze went sharp, alert, like she expected someone else to be there.
I frowned a bit. “Nicole,” I said, voice quieter this time, more careful. “Are you thinking about your family? I know it's hard and I won't act like I understand but please know that I will always be here.”
She didn’t answer immediately. She looked down at her hands, clenched so tight I thought her fingers might crack. Finally, she murmured, “Thank you for everything, for being patient with me.”
I nodded. Of course. She has been through a lot lately. I wanted to push, but I didn’t. I just made a note to check in later.
“Why don't you sleep in my room tonight? I can't allow you to stay here alone.”
“I'm really fine.” she dragged
“Do you want me to kneel for you?”. I insisted, blinking my eyes like a puppy.
“Fine, I will stay, “ she agreed.
Before I could respond, I suddenly got a call from my phone. “Excuse me…” I told her as I stepped outside.
“Why the fuck are you calling me?” I said immediately the call connected
“I miss you Liam,” the person voiced out from the other end. “I'm back in the country babe, I miss you, especially when you are inside of me.”
Her name was Anna, she was my ex, she broke up with me because she wanted to explore other men but now she was back. Do I still have feelings for her? That I could not answer.
“I have a girlfriend, I have moved on.” I spat out harshly, still offended by how she left me.
“That's a fucking lie and you know it. Right now, I know deep down that you want to explore every inch of my body.” She chuckled.
“You need help mentally.” I scoffed.
“I will text you my address tomorrow, I will be expecting you. Bye my love.” She hung up just like that leaving me dazzled.
I joined Nicole back in the room.
“Who called?” She asked me casually.
“It's business.” I lied to her.
“So you are staying in my room tonight. Let's go down for dinner, I don't think we can wait for my brother.”

Nicole POV
I woke up thirsty.
I tried ignoring it but I couldn't sleep properly, I could feel my throat burning. So I forced myself up still feeling sleepy, I looked to my right but Liam was still fast asleep, I ended up sleeping in Liam's room after listening to his nagging.
The hallway was quiet when I stepped out. My nightgown brushed my knees as I walked. I didn’t bother turning on the lights because I remembered where the kitchen was.
The fridge light spilled out when I opened it, cool and white. I poured water with sleepy eyes.
That was when I felt it, another presence. I turned slowly, only to see Adrian. He was leaning against the doorframe.
I felt like my heart stopped pumping. “How long were you standing there…?” I whispered.
He didn’t answer immediately. He just looked at me. Slowly scanning me. His shirt was slightly undone, his hair wasn’t neat the way it usually was. Something about him felt… different.
The fridge light shone on me from behind, it then hit me, I realized too late what that meant. The fabric of my nightgown was thin, so right now it felt transparent. I quickly closed the fridge when I followed his line of sight which was on my boobs.
“You’re awake late,” he said.
My pulse became painfully loud. “I just wanted water.”
I should have ran to my room but I stayed asking him questions. “Are you drunk?”
“Do you love him?” His question landed wrong, ignoring mine.
I tightened my fingers around the glass. “What?”
“My brother,” he said. “Is he… what you wanted?”
I swallowed. “Yes, he's kind, lovely and softhearted.”
He tilted his head, barely. “Really? If what you say is true then my brother has really changed a lot.”
The space between us shrank. He stepped closer. I stayed frozen on the spot.
“You think he saved you,” he murmured. “Pulled you out of whatever hole you were in.”
“You are wrong, I forced out.”
My back brushed the fridge, I hadn’t noticed I’d stepped back. He was close enough that I could smell his intoxicating scent, he reeked of alcohol.
“You need someone who would break you open,” he said quietly. “Not wrap you in softness.”
My heart slammed against my ribs. “What are you saying?”
His hand touched the door beside my shoulder. “If you were with me…” he said, voice lower and rougher. “I would fuck you till you forget your name, till you can't even speak properly, I will make you wet just with words.”
Before I could even process everything, he leaned in. His breath brushed my skin.
For one terrifying second… I didn’t move.
Then his lips brushed my cheek, then covered my lips while his hands worked its way up my thigh.
Something in me snapped back into place. I pushed against his chest. “Stop.”
He blinked. Like waking from something he shouldn’t have stepped into.
I shoved past him.
My bare feet hit the cold floor as I rushed down the hallway, I didn’t look back. I closed Liam's bedroom door quietly but just for me to turn I found him awake.
Adrian’s POVI arrived at the company earlier than usual. There was barely anyone around. Just some staff and of course, my partner, Ethan.Ethan leaned against the edge of the desk, folding his arms while staring down at the files spread across the table like they were pieces of a puzzle he didn’t like the look of.I rubbed the back of my neck, trying to ignore the dull ache in my side. The doctor had said I should be resting.Clearly, that wasn’t happening today.“So,” Ethan said slowly, tapping a finger on one of the folders. “Either your brother has suddenly developed very questionable taste in business partners…”He flipped the page. “…or he’s an idiot.”I exhaled quietly. “That narrows it down.”Ethan shot me a sideways look. “You’re not even surprised.”“I’m disappointed,” I corrected.I leaned forward slightly, scanning the financial report again. The file contained large transactions to offshore accounts, companies that didn’t technically exist and to top it up there were na
Nicole’s POVThe next morning, the air outside Zara’s apartment felt unusually calm. The sun had barely climbed above the buildings, and the streets below were still quiet except for the occasional passing car. It should have felt peaceful.Instead, my mind refused to slow down.Everything from last night kept replaying in my head like a film I couldn’t pause. My cheeks warmed instantly at the memory, and I quickly pressed my palms against them, as if that would somehow cool the embarrassment.“Okay,” I muttered under my breath. “Stop thinking about it.”“Stop thinking about what?”I nearly jumped.Zara stood at the doorway of the kitchen, leaning casually against the frame with a mug in her hand and the most suspicious look on her face.I blinked multiple times. “You move way too quietly.”Zara ignored that completely.Instead, her eyes slowly scanned my face. Then she smiled.Oh no.That smile meant trouble.“Well, well,” she said, walking toward me slowly. “Someone looks… interest
Nicole's POV I was just stepping out of my last class, the late afternoon sunlight slanting across the schoolyard, when I saw the black car parked neatly at the curb. My stomach dropped in a way.It was Adrian.I froze for a second, my backpack slipping slightly off my shoulder. From the corner of my eyes, I caught a familiar presence lingering near the school fence. “Why is Frank watching me?” I thought to myself.Frank's sharp, calculating gaze followed us as I hurried toward the car, my pulse quickening. I forced myself not to look directly at him, not to give him the satisfaction of seeing my reaction.Adrian stepped out of the car before I could even reach it, his usual calm confidence radiating like a shield. “Hey,” he said softly, his voice echoing across the pavement.I hesitated, unsure how to react, then slid into the passenger seat, trying to act casual. “Why… why are you here?” I asked, my voice a mix of curiosity and guardedness. His eyes softened as he leaned slight
Third Person Pov Ethan pushed open the door to his favorite little shop, the smell of coffee and warm pastries instantly familiar. He liked it there. It was quiet, unpretentious, and the perfect place to escape the constant chaos of his life. But today, the quiet was broken.Zara was there, leaning casually against the counter, her arms crossed, one eyebrow arched, watching him like she had been waiting all day.Ethan froze mid-step, eyes narrowing. “Zara?” His voice was sharp, yet laced with uncertainty. “What are you doing here? Are you… stalking me?”Zara didn’t flinch. She let out a soft hum, as if the accusation were a joke. “Stalking you? No, Ethan. I’m… just coincidentally here.” She smiled, playful, teasingly.Ethan exhaled slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. “Right… coincidentally.” He tried to move past her toward the counter, but she stepped slightly closer, forcing him to stop.“And while we’re coincidentally together,” she said, leaning forward slightly, “how about d
Nicole's POV I sat on the edge of my bed, with my phone in hand, the screen glowing softly in the dim room. The video notification blinked.Adrian had posted an update about the party. My fingers hovered over it for a moment. I didn’t want to watch… but I decided to. I needed to see him, hear him, even if it was just through a screen.I tapped play.Adrian appeared, sitting upright, looking as composed as ever, though I knew better. He couldn't have just healed from the gunshot, so he is still working despite the pain. The bright studio lights hit his face, highlighting every sharp angle.I hated to admit the fact that I missed it a lot.I sat my phone down, the screen going dark, and sat back against my chair. Silence filled the room, but my chest still felt tight, as if I were carrying the weight of everything Adrian had said and everything he had gone through. I couldn’t help the small ache in my chest as I thought about him. I missed him more than I realized.I had hoped h
Nicole's POV The next morning, I was walking through the crowded school corridor, my bag slung over one shoulder, when I felt a sharp tap on my arm. I turned, and my stomach dropped. It was the girl I saw with Liam at the party, Anna. There was a smile plastered across her face.“Nicole, you must be Liam's girlfriend.” she said sweetly, but there was a venom beneath it that made my skin crawl. “We need to talk.”I stopped, crossing my arms. “About what?” I asked, trying to keep my tone polite.I was already pissed off seeing her.She leaned closer, lowering her voice so only I could hear. “Stay away from Liam.” Her tone was firm, almost like a warning. “He doesn’t love you. He’s just… using you to pass time. You think you mean something to him, but you don’t. Not like I do.”I felt heat rise in my chest. “What are you talking about? You just come here spouting trash, clearly you are jealous.” I retorted back at her.“I'm trying to save you from being heartbroken.” She scoffed.“Li
