It had been two months since the stabbing. I was still paralyzed but getting stronger every day.

James had only left once in that time and that was only last week. He didn’t even go home to pack stuff up. Axel went in and packed up a few things for him and had them shipped over so he didn’t have to leave again. He still kept asking me to forgive him, even though I told him weeks ago that I already had.

For the weeks that followed after the diagnosis, I was expecting him to go back home. I was angry and I took a lot of that anger out on him. I got frustrated easily, especially trying to do things that I took for granted earlier, like going to the toilet and showering.

I had decided to move out of my apartment after being released from hospital. The doctors were happy for me to stay for a few extra days to make use of the extra support while I got used to my current predica
