Kaiden

The morning after Sylver agreed to training is bit like a punch to the gut. The air was cold, sharp and merciless. I could barely even tell if it was morning, night, or some cursed in between.

Out there, time didn’t seem to exist anymore. There was only the trainings. The endless push and the fore in my lungs, the burn in my muscles and the ache in my bones.

And Sylver’s voice was always there. Always cutting deeper than any claws ever could.

“Again, wolf, she said mockingly with her arms folded as her eyes glinted like ice in the dim lighting. “Or are you going to fall on your face like before?”

I wiped the sweat from my brows and raised my head ho to glare at her as I pushed myself to my feet. My legs shook underneath me and my hands were raw from how much that had scraped the ground, sure baking my fingernails from where she had knocked me down. Again.

Damon was a few feet away from me, doubled over and gasping for breath. Even he wasn’t spared from her torture, tho

CelineI had no idea how long I had been in the mirrored prison. Time stopped meaning anything and I had stopped counting the moments between Charles’ visits and between the visions that clawed at my mind, threatening to pull me under. All I had left was the echo of my own breath, ragged and shallow and the promise I kept whispering to myself in the dark. But that promise felt very fragile the day the door was opened and as they came for me. The two guards were silent and their faces were hidden under silver masks as they walked to me. Their presence filled the cell like smoke… it was suffocating and oppressive and I stared at them, not blinking as my beaten pounded. For a minute, I thought they were going to drag me to another cell, or worse, to my execution. Instead, one of them spoke up, his voice hollow under the mask. “You’re to be prepared.”Prepared? For what? I asked myself, confusion swirling in me as my stomach twisted. My instincts screamed at me that whatever was coming

KaidenThere was no training today because Zeke had to acquire something important and had taken Sylver with him on this mysterious search. When he got back, I was asked to come to the ground floor for a meeting and there he gave me a vial of a greenish liquid.“What is this?” I questioned with confusion, the vial still clutched in my palms as I tried to make sense of the situation.“This should be able to heighten your bond for you to better search for Celine,” he explained and I gave the vial a skeptical look.“This?” I question, my voice filled with clear and glaring disbelief..“Yes, it's a strong potion. You would have to drink it to be able to locate her whereabouts or get a meaningful clue,” he explained and I nodded, the idea seemingly more better now that I knew it would help me search for Celine and without any further words being said.“But we need to tread very carefully, we don't know what you might encounter,” Damien said from beside me and Zeke nodded before I did too.

Kaiden “Again,” Zeke barked out and I forced myself to my feet once again, eyes blinking rapidly as I fought to clear it up and remain awake. I had just a split second to dodge but my reflexes had now dulled under the relentless training and the upper cut got me straight on my jaw and I was sent sprawling to the ground once again with a groan of pain. From the peripherals of my eyes, I watched Sylver delivered a series of punches to Damien and although he was able to hold back on some, she was just too fast and precise and he was soon sent towards me. He landed mere meters from where I laid with a thud and a small smile broke out on my face, at least we were both suffering the same thing. “Switch,” Sylver said a loud and it was Damien's turn to grin at me, fuck Sylver was a brutal siren and she would destroy me as she always does. “Fine,” Zeke easily conceded and stepped towards Damien as I forced myself to my feet with a light groan, readying myself for the pain to come. “Such

Celine I had no idea how long it had been since I was in there, and I was brought out of my swaying thoughts when I heard the door open. The mirrored walls had been my only companions, they were silent, shifting and cruel. They showed me endless visions of Kaiden falling, Kaiden forgetting and even Kaiden’s dead body. I towed to remind myself each time they weren’t real and I tried to hold tight to my memories of him. His touch. His voice and even his smell. But the longer I stayed there, the more those memories faded as if the mirror was taking them from me drop by drop, like water from a cracked cup. So when I heard the door open, the sound was a thunderclap in my motor and my heart jumped with hope but froze with dread. Because it was him. It was Charles. He walked inside, the mirrored door closing silently behind him. His reflection multiplied in the endless glass, so that he was everywhere at once. His dark cloak whispered against the floor. His golden eyes gleaming wit

Celine I should have known better. I should have known that Charles’ castle was full of different traps and that each corner was dangerous for someone that was as curious as me and I a h shadow was ready to swallow me. But I couldn’t help myself. The prisoner that was under the castle, the one that knew my name and spoke of Charles’ true nature, held the answers that I needed. And those answers might be the key to stopping whatever nightmare it was that I was in. But I didn’t make it far and I didn’t even get to fully hear what the prisoner had to say. The moment he wanted to reply to me, I felt the shift in the air and the cold, oppressive weight that was pressing down on me. Before I could ask more questions, before I could run, the guards were already holding me tightly. I fought them, the goddess knew I tried to fight against them by clawing at their armor, kicking, biting and even screaming. But I was no match for them. They were like shadows that were made solid, the
