Chapter 14

Oscar was sure that it was only a matter of time before the king found him. His brain had instructed him to hide, and the only place he could think of was the ceiling. It was a tight squeeze, but he managed to make himself comfortable, hoping that the king wouldn't find him.

The sound of the king's voice echoed through the hallway, and Oscar heard him shout the Royal advisor's name. The King, Augusta stood in the hallway waiting for the royal advisor to fetch him a torch. He wanted to find out what or who was in the ceiling.

Oscar hang been hanging there for thirty minutes or so. His joints were beginning to hurt. In that position, he had rested his weight on his claws and it was starting to hurt. He needed to come up with an idea, a good idea and fast!

He looked to his right and found a man-hole. He had no idea what room or space it belong to, but he had no options available. It was either that or face the king. He crawled in.
