CHAPTER 80: ALFONSO

Alfonso led the group through the secret underground passageway beneath the castle. The air suddenly gained a musty, damp smell, the smell of death and decay. Nobody spoke until they reached a grey door hidden in the wall.

“This is it, the entrance to the library.” Alfonso whispered.

“And you're certain no one will be in there?” Alpha Zander double-checked. He replayed the plan over and over in his head, but something didn't feel right in the pit of his stomach.

“Yes I'm sure. Prince Magnus or his guards never come here. They stay in the North and West wing of the castle.” Alfonso exhaled as he pressed the indention in the wall and the door quietly slid open. “Let's go, but be quiet.”

Declan was the first person who tried to enter through the door. Zander yanked him back by his collar. “Where the fuck do you think you're going?”

“I cannot stay behind Alpha. Maddox and I will go mad if we don't go to her.”
